The BEST Teacher One Could Hope to Find!

Elizabeth's unparalleled enthusiasm for life and acting shines through in her performances and teaching style. She shows a strong proficiency in many different styles and on multiple genres.

She's reliable, experienced, professional, and a great lady all around. One of Elizabeth's main strengths is her ability to convey a given subject matter in a way that is meaningful, constructive and easily understood.

I'm also an acting teacher (private lessons and in the classroom) as well as a professional performer. I've found it to be a great pleasure working with Elizabeth and I would strongly recommend her as a teacher and a performer.

About Shakeatha

I have sung for as long as I could speak! I hail from a family of recording artists and have graced the stage since the age of 4. During high school, I learned to read music and took piano lessons. This peaked my interest in wanting to learn the fundamentals of music so I decided to major in it in college. I then went on to Xavier University, where I received a Bachelor of Arts in Music. While at Xavier I participated in many productions. I also received a Xavier University Music Scholarship for four years. I have noted my experience in detail: Xavier University of Louisiana-Senior Recital; Xavier University Student Recital – “Opera under the Stars”, April 2008; Xavier University Concert Choir Midwest Tour – Soloist for “Amazing Grace”, April 2008; Xavier University of Louisiana ...

Shakeatha is great! After just a few lessons, I felt like I was improving. I like that she stresses proper vocal technique and breathing as well, which are very important. She's also highly versatile, so no matter what style you want to learn, whether its pop, jazz, soul, or classical, she's got you covered. She really encouraged and challenged me, reawakening my love for singing and music overall. I highly recommend her!

Kortnee is a fabulous teacher! She came into our home and taught my 9 and 11-year old daughters piano once a week. Both girls thrived and looked forward to their lessons. The progress they made in one year with Kortnee was impressive. We have moved out of state and the biggest regret is that we can't find another piano teacher like Kortnee. We miss her and her enthusiasm for teaching music. Best instructor ever!

Kortnee is amazing!!

I actually take both piano and flute from Kortnee. Her energy is contagious and she knows many styles of music. She is always ready to support what I want/need to do and can give me a tip within minutes that will help me forever. I can puzzle over a phrase or mood, and she will immediately "get it". She loves to see me have fun, and loves to help me over the rough spots.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Voice Has Never Been Better

In my now four years with her, Ms. Olsen has been an amazing, kind, and awesome teacher to have and work with. If it wasn't for her, my voice wouldn't sound as beautiful as it would have sounded without her teaching me. Going from classical songs to Italian songs to now modern/pop songs, my voice has gone through many different techniques to help my singing become better, which it has. Overall, I have learned a bunch from Ms. Olsen and I wouldn't want a different teacher either way. I am really happy my mother asked me if I wanted to take voice lesson. Thank you Ms. Olsen! :)

Singing
A shining star

Cymbaline Olsen is a shining star. Her talent and energy is boundless. Her ability to calmly listen, to sculpt, and to mold vocalists of all ages, ranges and abilities is second to none. Many acclaimed vocalists have minimal strengths in terms of "coaching-up" less competent vocalists. Cymbaline, however, is a natural teacher. She is a rare talent in that regard. Cymbaline's strength is teaching and performance. Her expertise in music theory, vocal phrasing and vocal scales is extraordinary. Cymbaline can teach you that Yes...you Can Sing....And Yes, you will!
I highly recommend Cymbaline for your Vocal Lessons.
