    Hi, my name is Joel. I'm from Australia and now I live in Hawaii. I am an author and editor who has published 4 books. I teach many subjects including writing, grammar, English, mathematics, history and more. I taught ESL (English as a Second Language) for many years, including for a total of 4 years in Germany and Japan. I enjoy helping people to speak English fluently and confidently. I have also taught primary school children before in diverse subjects such as Latin and chess. During our periodic meetings, he demonstrates a keen(?) ability to assess the overall structure, even if the content isn't within his usual scope. This means he provides valuable feedback on sections I may have overlooked but need clarification. While generally generous, Joel also exhibits moments of sharp insight when necessary.
