I'll show you how to perform. How to project greater spirit when on stage then you call forth when practicing or training. Learning the ins and outs of taking advantage of the fourth wall. How to determine who our audience is and what we wish to give them. The message we wish to leave them with and how we speak our message through our movement and the ideas we send.

I am a hip-hop/house/contemporary dancer with professional/classical training, an academic background, and a passion for taking my students to the next level. Da-Rell is a very knowledgable and sensitive teacher, who worked with our son who definitely needs this special attention. We are sorry our son doesn't live in Da-Rell's area.

Da-Rell and I hit it off right away. In less than a day we already had a dance lesson planned, and we got right to it. Da-Rell has groove and is the number one recommended hip-hop dance trainer from the Take Lessons company. We went over moon walking, sliding / gliding, and other modern hip-hop moves. Da-Rell also helped film the dance moves on camera so I could keep the video as a study guide. Thank you Da-Rell!

Acting students will receive instruction customized for their individual needs and skill level, drawing on a variety of techniques, including Linklater (physical and vocal work), Stanislavski, Meisner, and Grotowski, Shurtleff, among others. Students can work privately on audition skills, including monologues and cold reading, as well as scene work, character building and basic principles of acting. The first step to great acting is a free body and voice, allowing full expression of of emotional life of the character!

About Wendy

I've been teaching private vocal instruction since 2003, and opened my own studio in 2008. I love helping people find their true, authentic voice, which I feel is essential not only for singers but many other people as well! Singing is a great joy, and the voice is one of our primary modes of expre

My partner and I just started work on our podcast a few months ago. As complete newbies, we thought we should go to a coach to get a competitive edge. A friend referred us to Melissa and given her experience as a radio and podcast host it was a no brainer. Our first session was mostly just picking her brain. In subsequent lessons, we went over everything from show topics and names to delivery and she even critiqued some of our podcasts. She is very knowledgeable, down to earth and approachable. Just do it you won’t regret it!

I started taking lessons from Melissa several years ago when I was first getting started at voiceover work. She not only helped me pick copy for my demo reel she coached me on how to do different reads. Since then I have been going back to her From time to time whether it’s for a refresher or help with an audition. I highly recommend her in addition to being a great teacher she is a lot of fun to work with!

I took a few sessions with Melissa to help with my diction. I do training videos for my company. I struggled with pacing and clarity in my voice. A few sessions s with Melissa and there was a noticeable difference. Thank you!

I pioneered a private Arts Academy drama school for 4 years, and am now teaching acting and directing at a middle and high school. My goal is to help students become well-rounded in all the areas that are needed to truly become a working actor. These areas include: auditioning, theater, film, and improvisation.

Being a repertory performer for Silver Star Playhouse (musical theater parodies), and having lots of experience and training in improv and interactive dinner theaters really trains you in comedy.
My husband also owns Sound waves Productions (technological advanced studio in Gilbert)- so completing remote voiceover work for a reel is not out of the question.

I also encourage students to pair in duos for effective scene work and more in-depth technique training (this will also split your lesson cost in half).

About Rebecca

Greetings! I am super excited to be building a private and small group lesson platform at our home studio and to meet your personal acting needs! I recently stepped down from 2 years of full time drama and art at Lumos Arts Academy- a private school I played a role in pioneering- to focus on bui

My daughter raves about her lessons with Rebecca. She gets in the car and is always so excited to tell me what she did or learned, and when she practices I can see things click and improve. It’s so refreshing to see her passion and satisfaction in the learning process. Clearly she has a gift for teaching and inspiring teenagers, because I never see Anna work this hard. Thank you for all you do!

"I've been working with Taylor for several months now and have enjoyed it very much! She has been helping me with Cubase and composition. Musicians need to collaborate and share ideas and I'm grateful I've had the opportunity to do that with her. She is well organized, easy to get along with, and has an impressive background. I would highly recommend her for your next project or if you're new to DAW's."

5 Dance Basics to Nail Down

Watching people dance can be both inspiring and intimidating. Their graceful movements and the fluid transitions between steps can make you want to dance while making you feel extremely self-conscious. Something you should know is that there are very, very few people who look this good when they first learn how to dance! Taking dance classes and private lessons are the perfect way to learn dance basics without the public exposure. Regardless of the type of dance you are interested in, the …
