Hi! I'm Marissa and I'm a professional NYC-based actor, writer, and director. BFA: NYU. / We'll work as a team to reach your performance goals, whether that be for an audition, for a show, or for just for yourself. We'll call attention to breath, vocal technique, physicality and movement, and intention and script/monologue analysis. However, lessons will be catered to your unique self.
My approach to teaching my students is not a "one-size-fits-all" approach. Rather, I carefully examine each students' strengths and interests, and create lesson plans that combine those to address areas of improvement and holistic growth. A student knows themself best; my mission is to assist them on their journey towards bringing their gifts and talents to the forefront.
In being not only a professional actor, but a director and writer for the stage and film/tv, my lessons come with a unique perspective that holistically elevates your acting.

Iâm an actor who has to sing in 1-2 episodes of a new show I'm in, so I started taking voice with fawn because she came highly recommended by another actor I work with. I totally think she is great and I recommend her to any one who wants to improve their speaking or singing voice or become more confident in their performances. She also helps me with my script preparation and think she is a wonderful person and teacher."
Monologues are an essential part of a stage actor’s career, and that includes actors from ALL walks of life! It doesn’t matter what sort of actor you are - comedic, dramatic, classical or contemporary...you will need a variety of monologues to have ready if you’re auditioning for acting work. Professional actors certainly know this, but it is advantageous for those that are active in community theater or school theater, too! Theater in recent years has exploded. It seems like all of a s …

Directors, flymen, producers, actors, and even box office staff – there are so many options available to those who have a passion for the performing arts industry. All careers in acting for stage are linked by one thing: a shared love and appreciation for creating live theater. Because of the associated pressures, and long and surprisingly unsociable hours related to the industry, many people who maintain careers in acting do so because they love what they do. Sequins don’t sew themselves o …
