About Eric
My name is Eric M. B. I am a tutor with a four year college degree (B.A.) in math and philosophy and a sum total of eleven years experience in tutoring exclusively to students age 13 to adult. I love to tutor math and see students gain the math knowledge necessary to succeed in their math courses. I put emphasis on mathematical theory and in tutoring I exhibit precision, clarity, and most of all patience. Frequent repetition and further explanation of mathematical theorems and definitions is necessary. I also have the ability to tutor logic, politics, and civics(American government).

About Susan
Acting – I have taught all kinds of acting, including Audition Skills, Shakespeare, Stage, Film & TV, Dramatic, Comedic, whatever. I also have quite a bit of experience performing in all those arenas. I have a relationship with one of the best management agencies in the area, so my students get fast-tracked with her.

Voice – Anyone can sing. If you want to and have always thought you couldn't, you will be delighted when I prove you wrong. Training for the voice is pretty much the same, whatever style you are interested in. Then I'll coach you in your chosen style and we'll pick songs you like.

Singing beautifully is not enough. I can't tell you how many times I heard in grad school "beautiful voices are a dime a dozen." I will teach you how to OWN the song. That's what keeps people coming back.

Speaking – Every public spe
aker I know has lost their voice at some point, but not from talking too much. It's because they don't know how to use their voice properly. Learn that, and you need never lose your voice to over-use. That's easy to teach.

Writing – I have been a professional writer and editor for over eight years, with many books, articles, posts, newsletters, etc. to my name. I use – and teach – practical grammar, not just correct grammar. I can also help you make your words more powerful.

I've been taking lessons with Susan Scher for about two months now. I can easily say I've been impressed at how much I've improved. I look forward to lessons every week. I feel that soon enough I'll be able to audition for roles in film and television. If you live in the Baltimore area and are interested in voice acting or any acting in general. Contact her and go, you won't be disappointed.

I did not know what to expect when I signed up to take classes with Susan. I decided to take classes with her for two reasons: Her studio is not far from me and 2, the good reviews left by her clients. All I wanted was to learn the fundamentals and techniques about acting. Susan was excellent and very patient. She offered water in each lesson, which is also very kind. Her interpersonal connection brings a sense of comfort. Her studio is very neat and welcoming. I do not have regrets in my selections and I know you won't be disappointed too.

It was my daughter's first contact with professional acting.
She has been talking about being an actress for quite a while now, so we decided to let her take a few lessons to see if she likes it.
Ollie was really comprehensive of our needs and made us see the big picture of that world... just what we needed, to start walking into that direction on the right path.
My daughter had a wonderful time with Ollie.

I booked 4 acting sessions with Ms. Ollie for my daughter. Ms. Ollie did a phenomenal job starting from scratch, coaching my daughter for her up coming audition. My daughter had no acting experience, she was shy, and soft spoken but in just 4 short days, Ms. Ollie turned her into a confident, outspoken young actress. My daughter nailed her audition thanks to Ollie!! I will highly recommend her as your acting coach.

I have had clients prepare for the writing sections of standardized tests. Usually we met once per week and during this time the client would write an essay from an actual test. I would time the client and, when he or she finished, I would evaluate the essay. I have done this for the GRE, Regents, SAT, and other tests. I have also tutored clients in business writing and every day writing.

I proofread papers based on form and content with the following criteria in mind. For content, I look at the macro issues at work: validity, cogency, avoidance of fallacious reasoning, and soundness. (Some style manuals (e.g., The Chicago Manual of Style 15th ed) refer to this as 'developmental editing'.) I try to return papers with expansive explanations of argument quality in terms of formal and informal inferential structures and lack thereof. I may, for example, point out a false dilemma, an affirmation of the consequent, a straw man, etc and suggest an alternative (e.g., modus ponens in ...

After his first reading/writing lesson with Alexandra, my son was enthusiastic and invigorated. Usually, performing writing exercises for more than five minutes completely depresses him but he thought his hour lesson with her went quickly. I'm very excited to see his improvement in weeks to come.

David is very knowledgeable in writing and specially resume writing.Me and many other students in school have been advised by him for resume writing. He knows different helpful tools to use for making a very professional resume, like valid references to select the best fit words.
During the process of editing my resume he also taught me different methods to update and edit my resume by myself .He spends as much time as he thinks is required to have an excellent result. Also it was clear that due to his valuable experience he has a very wide horizon which leads to his ability of writing various writing texts.
Beside that, he is very passionate and generous to help others and definitely very active updated in the areas of his work. Truly, His nice character makes it really pleasant for anybody to work with him .

He has share with me skills that I had been able to implement in my life to facilitate and expedite my time in the kitchen. I am a former employee of David's and I had expressed interest with updating and making my resume more advanced. He gave me some of the best advice, suggestions, and even referred me to a couple of websites that proved to be very helpful. During the review process, David first pointed out all of the good aspects I had on my original resume. On the parts he thought should be tweaked or edited, he gave advice and pointers in a positive manner. He also took his time really picking apart the resume, making sure he was giving me 100% of the information that he could. With confidence, I can say I am now very proud of my resume and happy with how my strengths really stand out, thanks to the help given from David.
