Hello, my name is Bernadette and I am recently graduated from a very rigorous 3 year Master of Fine Arts in Acting program. I specialize in Film Acting, however, I have worked as a Producer, Casting Director, Director and Camera Operator so I am familiar with what goes on behind the camera as well.

I have extensive knowledge in resume formatting, head shot formatting, demo reel formatting, how to properly audition for both film and theatre, how to properly self-tape from home, tricks for memorization, monologue preparation, character analyzation, etc.

I personally enjoy deriving my technique with a mixture of improvisation and Uta Hagen's theories on acting. I was also trained in Meisner and if a student requests it we can certainly work on some of his exercises as well.

Everything I have learned has been through my masters program, reading and researching for years, self-educating, attending numerous industry events, conferences, and I am a working actress so whenever I'm

Bernadette made my daughter's first class comfortable, fun and informative. She explained the exercises clearly before jumping in and seemed to enjoy her time with my daughter as much as my daughter enjoyed her. She was the perfect choice as instructor for a young first-time student.

I recently fell in love with dancing, but before that I had little to no experience, so I know what it is like to be a beginner, and to struggle. However, through the blessing of many excellent teachers and mentors, I have progressed rapidly and now have some considerable skill in dancing, so I am able to help people learn and grow at their own rate. I have much experience teaching other subjects (piano, physics, chemistry, and religion), so I know how to teach and how to give constructive advice.

About Jonathan

Hey there! My name's Jonny. I am currently a student at BYU, studying Physics-Astronomy and minoring in ballroom dance. I've grown up with music and love all aspects of it! I love singing, dancing, playing the piano and a few other instruments. I also have a love of languages, reading, videogames,

I've been a working actor for ten years. To me acting is one of the most visceral, healing and inspiring arts. It's an honor to invite people into that world and to help them succeed within it! My personalized training is for actors who are interested in or already have a career in TV, film and commercials. We will train in audition technique, self tapes, scene study and the business side of acting (casting, agencies, resume structure, demo reels, what to do on set, what to do in the audition room, website building and more).

Feel free to check out examples of my work on my site: jasonburkey.net or on IMDB.

His knowledge of all dance genres is beyond impressive and he is able to relate to people of all levels and ages - including myself a busy 40 year old / father of 2 who is known as the “dancer” within my professional and social circles."

"CJ is a great instuctor. He is friendly, reliable, patient, punctual, and very talented. He helped me take my beginner dance skills to the next level. He is a creative genius; he was able to take my existing dance moves and build upon them. I can show him a move that I've been working on and, on the drop of a dime, he can show me several creative variations and ways to build on the original move. Some of the little pointers that I learned from him have been priceless."

"Just had my first lesson and Bill and he quickly determined issues in my speaking voice.

We discussed many tips (some of them very easy to implement but useful), and in future lessons will focus further on improvements.

I'm very glad for this, because I'd imagine there are a hundred ways to use your voice improperly, so having someone with Bill's experience hear your voice and offer recommendations is immensely valuable."
