Malden Performing Arts Lessons for Seniors

With my Dance Choreography lessons, we will focus on building awareness of the body, understanding musicality, style/swag and control. Although we will work on choreo retention (picking up and remembering steps), the main focus of each lesson will be on movement quality: speed variation, attention to detail and execution of the texture(s) of each movement. Lastly, in my lessons, we will learn how to FEEL and CONNECT to the artist/music. I believe that if you feel good, you'll look good!

Experienced former professional ballet dancer, and specializing in the beginner/intermediate ballet classes. Everyone is welcome from kids to adults.
Lessons are customized to the needs/goals of the students.

I can teach beginners, starting from the basics to help you build a strong foundation of theory and technique.
For advanced levels we would work on your technique, posture, and artistic expression. We can work on some dances/variations if you are preparing for a competition or a performance.

Bringing challenges and mentorship to all ages to grow and reach their goals as a dancer. Students should expect to be pushed to their best abilities and encouraged to experiment to find their niche. Students will be able to learn how to pick up choreography fast, how to imitate the choreographer perfectly, how to add their own sense of flair, how to fix bad habits, how to start healthy habits, etc. Students will be given tips and tricks as a dancer, performer, and influencer. This is a generation of creators which requires substantial knowledge on navigating social media and using your talents as content.

My lessons focus on connecting with your partner and being in tune with his or her movements. A proper connection makes it easy to quickly learn new steps, and to move together as naturally as possible.

For online/video lessons: You might think a partner dance would be hard to learn online; to learn to lead or follow well, it's important to have tactile feedback in order to feel the relationship between your movement and the results from your partner, and vice versa.

Experienced Music teacher of 8 years available for eager students of all experience levels and ages! I structure my lessons so students learn what they want to learn, while also building a strong foundation of their instrument and theory skills. I specialize in all styles. Typically, I use a variety of method books to pick from to meet the needs of the students. I also have many tools available to use during lessons.
My students have gone on to NYSSMA and on to college auditions successfully!
