Go at your own pace and have fun are my knitting mottos! I teach continental style knitting and have been teaching beginners to knit for over 5 years. Together we'll experience the excitement that comes when you cast on something new, learn a new stich, or finish a favorite project.
I'm can start with the basics (cast on, knit stitch, purl stitch) or jump straight into helping on a project you have planned (or started and got stuck on? don't worry - it happens to all of us!). There is no limit to the kind or number of projects we can do. I have plenty of project ideas and am always happy to help with your ideas, too.
My grandmother taught me to knit when I was 11 years old, and after taking a few years off I picked up the hobby again in my 20s. Now in my 30s I am an avid knitter - there are always several projects on my needles (I need one I can travel with, one I can do while watching TV, and usually one I'm ma

A simple flute which plays a diatonic (Major) scale as the tone holes are successively uncovered. Due to its wooden construction, characteristic embouchure and direct (keyless) fingering, the simple system flute has a distinctly different timbre from the Western concert flute. Most Irish flute players tend to strive for a dark and reedy tone in comparison to classical flautists. I will teach you the fundamentals of breath control, fingering techniques, and start with the basics of learning notes and rhythms. In no time at all you will be playing famous songs or any song the student wishes to bring in to class. Advanced methods or theory and soloing will be encouraged once the student gains confidence.

DMA in Composition from Boston University
I earned MM in Jazz Performance, Bass Guitar Major, in 1993, and play/teach lessons for Bass Guitar since that time. My prospective students will receive rigorous training in both Bass Guitar performance and musicianship focused on the specifics of the subject of study. The level that we would begin lessons with will depend on the student's abilities and potentials. We will strive to create professional and friendly working atmosphere, and will begin lessons with careful assessment of the student's performing abilities; we will also set our goals, based on both individual expectations of students and on professional experience of the instructor. My teaching philosophy lies on three aspects; on patience with people; on love for the subject of teaching/study; and on rigorous training, offered to people, for their benefit and general musical development.

Pedagogy is one of the few and rare professions that requires true vocation and conviction. I believe that teaching comes from sharing and I love to help each and every one of my students develop their own gift and understanding of music. This year marks the beginning of my 11th year of teaching and I am fascinated and humbled by everything that I have learned from all of my students!
Learning to play an instrument is a formative, fun and inclusive process for both teacher and student. I enjoy seeing my pupils progress and ultimately, finding their voice and telling their own story through music. My objective as a docent is to inspire students to develop high intrapersonal intelligence so that they may become their own best teacher.
It is my hope that my students will acquire tools that will not only help them become better musicians but that will also assist them in other areas of their lives.
The student will learn healthy ways of approaching the instrument. I guarantee the

So, you’re ready for your first improv audition. You know enough to give gifts, to not ask questions, and, when all else fails, to say, “Yes and…” (You do know all these things, right?)
