Focusing on diverse techniques, including types of characters, staging, blocking of scenes, costuming, creating characters, improv and games for each concept.
In the past years we've done excerpts from The Polar Express, The Wizard of Oz, How the Grinch Stole Christmas and George and the Marvelous Medicine.
This summer of 2014, we're doing Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, where we are discussing staging, blocking, creating costumes and props.
We are constantly play games to reinforce the techniques presented each week and the students always have fun. They walk away confident and wanting to learn more.
Spend time on costuming and set design, by creating with the materials we find at Goodwill, thrift stores and other retail businesses. We look over the characters descriptions and utilize our creative to flow with costuming and scenery.

As a former piano lessons taker myself, I must admit that I had some lofty expectations for my daughter's piano lessons. On the first day of lessons for her, I knew that we were in great hands. Andrew has exceeded my expectations with every turn. And a fun and lighthearted way, and through games, activities, and fingers on the piano , Andrew helps the young learner learn the most important thing about music: it's fun! Theory is fun, composition is fun, ear training is fun, performance is fun. As a musician myself, I'd almost forgot. Andrew has helped me to remember, and is instilling these values in my daughter.
Thank you Andrew for being so awesome.

I will first figure out what your goals are for the theater. Then, depending on your level, we will work on everything from breath to keeping each performance interesting and engaging. Expect to be challenged, to ask questions, and to dive deeper into the character that you are trying to explore. Also expect to learn how to work the stage and the basic skills needed to succeed on stage, which includes actor feedback as well as technical feedback such as "cheating out" and "not upstaging yourself."

Improv is all about NOT SAYING NO and being fearless! A true actor should thrive on improv. It takes great skill to be raw and inventive on the spot. Improv is best taught in groups but one on one is excellent as well, especially for the beginner.

Watching people dance can be both inspiring and intimidating. Their graceful movements and the fluid transitions between steps can make you want to dance while making you feel extremely self-conscious. Taking dance classes and private lessons are the perfect way to learn dance basics without the public exposure. Regardless of the type of dance you are interested in, the …
