Bill is a great teacher. He starts with the fundamental information about how voice works and how to take care of it. After very first lesson I learned a lot about controlling your pitch, posture, what you eat and what you drink before your performance.
Thanks Bill!

Hi! I am an undergraduate student at Colorado College, majoring in Comparative Literature and Music. I am from Shenzhen, China, and moved to the U.S. when I was 18.

I play the banjo, do all forms of arts, and have a never-dying crave for traveling. I lived in Brazil and Finland for a little while. I have a talent in learning new languages and am passionate about teaching them.

I have taught Chinese to people of all age. I specialize in teaching listening and speaking. If you would like to take lessons with me in person, then I am good at teaching reading and writing as well. My strength is in my patience for my students. I understand that learning a new language, especially Chinese, is not an overnight progress. As a language learner myself, I emphasize with the frustration, yet the excitement of learning the language and the cultu

I love Denise! Denise is patient and kind which is wonderful as a teacher. She creates a safe space, but she's also constructive with her criticisms and how to improve. She's also nurturing which I think is an excellent quality to have as a dance teacher as she's respectful of all dancers of other levels/experience. She loves to fun during class too! I love attending class because not only do I learn how to become a better dancer, but she makes it fun too.

About Sarina
I have a passion for science, critical thinking, and teaching, and earned my B.A. in Biochemistry and Policy Studies from Grinnell College in 2016. I grew up homeschooling until high school age, and I believe being self-directed and self-taught much of the time, is what allowed me to truly love learning for the sake of learning. I often struggled in the confines of how science was taught in the public school system, and frequently found myself wishing I had better teachers who seemed more excited and invested in the topic than some of mine did. After attending college and getting to take sciences classes with some of the most amazing professors I ever had, I became extremely motivated to tutor and mentor fellow students as well as high school students, and share concepts and ideas that I had learned about and thought were extremely inters
ting. I saw clearly the difference that having a good teacher who was truly motiviated and invested in what they were teaching could make in the learning outcomes of students.

In addition to science, I also love music and traveling. I studied piano for about 12 years and taught a few beginning piano lessons several years ago. During college I studied abroad in South Africa for a semester, and while I was there I also worked with a small local tutoring company, helping grade school and middle school age children prepare for their science and math exams.

I enjoy working with students of all ages and levels, however I feel like high school and college level chemistry and biology is what I have the greatest base of knowledge and experience in. I especially love AP chemistry and college level general chemistry.

If you take lessons or get tutoring from me, I will teach in a very straight forward, big picture oriented, clear, and easy to understand way. I look foward to working with you!
