Throughout each lesson, I learned something new about myself. She was very patient, informative, and always had good things to say about you and your acting/voice skills. She helped awaken my creative theatre mind again and I’m thankful for that. I highly recommend taking her if you want a good experience in learning or enhancing your acting/voice skills!

I have been performing since I was 10 years old and since I started professionally at 14, I've toured in over 15 different countries around the world and done arena tours and festivals. I now have over 150,000 followers online and have performed for millions on TV.

Performance training is extremely important for a singer, even the most experienced artists have coaches their entire lives. I've been teaching young people to sing and perform since 2010 and I'm very keen to continue to see them all grow as artists! My methods vary from person to person as I like to find out their individual goals and go from there, but I usually take the first lesson to get to know them and find out their strengths and weaknesses, and work on a lesson plan that helps them as well as having fun.

I also teach about the business side of performing, how to book gigs and how to build your personal brand. I help students put together shows, with everything from costumes to music to sound systems and ...

I came to Jennie with basically 0 acting experience and wow am I glad I went to Jennie. She is the most kind, compassionate and supportive instructor out there. Her knowledge was vast and whether you want to get into film, Tv, theater or just wanna get out of your shell, Jennie is the instructor for you.

She helped me every step of the way to hone my craft, work on monologues, mock audition and so much more. Jennie’s way of teaching makes you think differently and she truly brings out the best side of you. Plus Jennie is so supportive going at my speed giving constructive feed back and making me feel great about my progress.

Lastly, Jennie was understanding of my time and worked around my schedule as well as the “homework” or “things to work on” she gave. Jennie was flexible and the Zoom calls worked incredibly well during this pandemic. Every day I would get off of our call with a smile on my face feeling accomplished!

Overall I would say Jennie was helpful, knowledgeable and a great instructor. I would highly recommend her for anyone who is looking to start acting and have no idea where to begin.

A truly gifted instructor. I came to Jennie with zero acting experience. She was able to patiently and carefully guide me to focus on my scene and most importantly how to RELAX and let the scene flow. Her knowledge of acting techniques and tips is unparalleled. She teaches you how to look at the scene as a whole and truly understand what your character is feeling. I highly recommend Jennie to anyone who is interested in learning more about acting.

"My husband and went to Miss G because we were looking for someone to choreograph our first dance together at our wedding. We wanted something different and upbeat, and Miss G choreographed the perfect dance for us! She is a wonderful teacher, she's very patient (we never took dance lessons before and she walked us through every step!), and we had a wonderful time! I would highly recommend her! We have no regrets getting lessons from Miss G. She made it so fun!"

"I worked with Randy on my speaking voice. In just 5 weeks my voice for videos and presentations was much better and I had a plan for further improvements. He's easy to talk to, non-judgemental and provides sage advice. Randy was good at prioritizing things for me to work on, which made it easy to make progress quickly. He split tasks into those that required class time and those that I could teach myself. I'm leaving with specific exercises and books to read for self-improvement."

3 Drama Games for Learning Method Acting

Method acting requires you to fully embrace your transformation into your character. To create an authentic experience for your audience, you need to lose the speech inflections, facial expressions, and physical mannerisms that wouldn't make sense. For example, when an actor plays a depressed man, his cynical speech won't be convincing if he delivers it with perfect, confident posture. When Hollywood stars stay in character between takes, or improv comedians wear disguises to interact with un …

Acting Tips: What's in your Toolbox?

As with any profession, actors have tools. Just as a doctor needs a stethoscope or a fireman needs a hose, there are certain items an actor must keep in their toolbox. I usually start classes or lessons by asking my new students or clients what they think these tools might be. Sometimes, the answer is very literal ("Script!"), and other times abstract ("Passion!"). None of these is a wrong answer. Being an actor or artist is subjective and everyone's process is different and valid. But t …
