My son enjoys writing lessons with Steve and has improved writing skills just after 3-4 sessions with Steve. Before he used to hate doing writing at home but now he likes it which is a big change.

Very responsive, attentive and patient teacher! I loved our first lesson, it was exactly what I was looking for. I'm definitely going to keep working with Steve, and I don't have any doubts that eventually no one will even think about asking "what country is your accent from?" :)

I am a 62 year old person who had previously studied Spanish using Rosetta Stone and Duolingo. I started taking lessons with Georgina several years ago to provide a regular opportunity to engage in Spanish conversation. Our lessons have been free-flowing and she introduced me to a number of books written in Spanish which were not only helpful in further developing my knowledge of Spanish but were culturally enlightening as well. Georgina is easy to engage, a delightful person to know and an excellent instructor.

With pleasure I recommend Ms Marie (as the children knew and loved her for the past two years) for her devoted work at Wee Care preschool. She was very supportive and she assisted me with instructional responsibilities during the last year. She has compassionate attitude to the kids and strong understanding of child development plus to her excellent communication skills.

Hi, my name is Keith, and I teach English as a second language. I just finished my Certification for TEFL, so I'm looking forward to helping you or your child be successful at learning English. I'm open to any questions that you might have, and I will travel to your location, if that's what you prefer.

About Keith
Hi, my name is Keith and I have been involved in music from an early age. I love playing and teaching piano. I started taking lessons at the age of 9, and soon added trumpet and French Horn to my list of instrumental music lessons. I continued, through High School and College, taking music classes and private instruction. I attended The Center For Creative Studies, in Detroit, Washtenaw Community College and Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, Michigan. I primarily teach Classical,Popular, Blues and Ragtime Piano. Please let me know if you have any questions or have special requirements for your child or for your own lessons. Thank you!

Keith is an amazing teacher. My 7 year old son likes him very much. Before the lessons I worried our boy couldn’t build his interest in playing piano, just lose his enthusiasm after a while as the 7 years old always did. But Keith make me totally worry free, my son likes him very much, and he really knows how to build the kid’s interests and confidence while learning. Now my son enjoyed himself very much with Keith in their piano time. We are so lucky to find Keith.

We had four in-home lessons with Keith and he never once arrived on time. And not like 5 minutes late because of bad traffic or something. Once he was 40 minutes late, and another time he was 45 minutes late. For an hour lesson. At first I though there was some confusion because the time on take lessons was slightly different than the time we agreed to (he asked if we could start earlier than the time slot that was listed, and I agreed) but after speaking with him about it, we were both on the same page as to what time the lesson *should* begin, he just never arrived on time. He seems to be very overbooked and busy and does not respect his clients’ time. He told me that the disparity of arriving on time or a half hour late is “superfluous,” so if you hire him, be prepared to have a wide window of when he could show up. My kids liked him as a teacher, which is why I kept giving him chances and trying to work out scheduling issues (I offered to move our lessons to a different time, but he insisted the time we were at was fine) but in the end, things could not be resolved.

I am very easy going, encouraging, and a great conversationalist. I completely customize lessons based on each students' skills and goals, as well as favorite topics, and how they learn best. I am knowledgeable on many subjects, and more importantly, good at getting students talking, no matter what age or background.

About Chris
Hi, my name is Chris and I am a native speaker and tutor of American English. I have taught people of all ages to improve their English and I can help you too!

In January 2014, I began teaching classes and private lessons in Warsaw, Poland and later in Berlin, Germany. I have also taught in New York City and online via Skype, to people from various countries around the world. My father and his two brothers were all teachers, so I guess that is where I get my natural teaching ability.

I have a bachelor's degree in Sociology from Penn State University, where I also taught some classes. I also have business experience and can teach students to speak and write in English for any situation!

I am very easy going, encouraging, and a great conversationalist. I customize lessons based on each student's skills and goals, as well as favori
te topics, and how they learn best. I am knowledgeable on many subjects, and more importantly, good at getting students talking, no matter what age or background.

REVIEWS:
Below are reviews by some of my former students in Poland from e-korepetycje.net/chrisnyc/jezyk-angielski (translated from Polish into English). I have also taught students from Germany, Hungary, Sweden, Spain, South Korea, Argentina, China, Israel, France, Indonesia, Columbia and Turkey.

"A really good teacher and the great hour-long conversations with him provide guidance not drudgery. He is enthusiastic and cheerful, recommended." - Magda

"I worked with Chris for 3 months, and I'm very happy. We focused on conversation, vocabulary development (based on analysis of interrogated podcasts), and correction of pronunciation. With Chris, any subject can be interesting to talk about." - Wojtek

"He worked with my 10-year-old son Antek, inventing dialogues in English based on the boy's favorite superhero characters and their behavior. Chris is creative and always smiling, and Antek misses the lessons." - Jerzy

"Great lessons with a sense of humor. Conversations require thinking and combining vocabulary (no shortcuts and tips in Polish). Big emphasis on correct pronunciation and vocabulary. In a word, I highly recommend." - Michael

"I can recommend wholeheartedly. We have real discussions, not set topics, and discuss how certain words are challenging for us. From time to time we also have a lesson in which we process words or homophones that are difficult for us (thief/teeth). We strongly recommend to all who want to rise above the level of intermediate." - Pawel

"Chris is a really great conversationalist! He only speaks English, which forces you to think and conduct conversations only in English, which is half the battle! If I do not understand what he says, he will explain it in so many ways that I finally understand. He is a very open person, easy to talk with, problem-free, and has many interests, so you can talk about anything. I would recommend as a native speaker!" - Izabela

The best part of my tutoring is to give a good start for beginners. It will be the easy way. Students will be led step by step to gain knowledge and skills in speaking, reading, writing, and grammar issues as well. An easy start gives an easy way to go.

About Sergey
As I speak two languages English and Russian, I can teach both. Russian is my native language, so students can learn Russian from the native speaker. And that is the best way to learn foreign languages. I've been teaching Russian since 2010 and I use my own method, which is not like in boring books. Students have to get what they need to fill the gaps and go further. Who goes, he reaches the destination.
