Growing up in Denver, I had a huge desire for singing and performing. By age 14, I was taking weekly singing & piano lessons, was acting constantly in local productions-many times getting the lead role. Some of the productions I acted in: The Wizard of Oz (Dorothy), Camelot, Anything Goes (Reno Sweeney), How to Succeed in Business (Smitty), Carousel, Oklahoma, Les Miserables, and Oliver (Nancy.) I received a 4-year scholarship to the Conservatory of Music in Stockton, CA. at the University of the Pacific. Upon graduation, I entered graduate school at the University of North Texas to continue my singing and piano studies, along with music theory, history, and musical video production. Upon graduating UNT, I was chosen among 200 performing arts majors to be the featured soloist at the UNT commencement ceremonies. This led to an off
er to tour Italy with the Rome Festival Orchestra. For the next two summers I performed in Copenhagen, Istanbul, Rome and Berlin with the Berlin Philharmonic.

TWO thrilling developments with 2 of Amber's students:
1. One of Amber's young students, aged 7 years old, was chosen Miss Young Colorado...this student used piano as her talent!!! Amber began teaching her young student the piano almost 1 year ago and she won the Talent division of Miss Young Colorado... 2. Another one of my college aged students who has taken 2 lessons per week for 2 years, auditioned for America's Got Talent. He was chosen as one of the Regional Finalists for Colorado."

I have been taking piano lessons and singing lessons from Amber for about a year. I have had big music dreams for most of my life, but have just recently found the courage to give it a try. I was an absolute beginner in singing and had a few months experience with the piano. In both aspects, Amber has completely changed my life. I am more confident in my skills, I enjoy practicing, and I am starting to see a HUGE difference in my vocals and piano from when I started.
Amber asks you to put in work in order to achieve your musical goals. Follow her advice, and I promise you will not be disappointed. Before you know it, you will have gained skills in sight-reading, in breath support, in playing through distraction, in singing and playing with correct form, and in building confidence in yourself and your abilities. I love Amber, and I would choose her again and again if I could.
A short history of my experience with music and education:
The first instrument I learned to play was the guitar in 2001.
I played the guitar on the worship team at FBC of Midway in Plant City, FL from 2001 to 2005.
I began teaching private music lessons in 2003.
I played bass guitar in a Christian rock band called of Anastasis from 2003 to 2005.
I played acoustic, electric, and bass guitar on the worship team at Family Worship Center in Lakeland, FL from 2006 to 2012.
I worked as a freelance audio engineer with my in-home recording studio throughout college (and now I just do it for fun).
I played bass and sang background vocals in a worship band called Skyline from 2007 to 2009.
I taught music and trained a student led worship team at Hope Christian Academy from 2009-2010.
I began performing independently from
2009 to present.
I played guitar and sang lead vocals in a Christian Rock Band called A Story Familiar from 2010 to 2012.
From 2010 to 2012, I taught in the Polk County public school system of Florida from 2010 to 2012, where I also worked heavily with students with special needs.
In July of 2012 I moved to Aurora, CO as a volunteer musician to help plant Streams Church.
In January of 2013 I married my beautiful wife.
Upon arriving home from our honeymoon, I was hired as Worship Director for Streams church, and I have worked there since. Some of my responsibilities include developing and executing weekly music set lists, creating charts and sheet music for new songs, and training the worship team in new music.
As for me personally, I love Jesus, my wife, and music. As I'm sure you can tell by my brief history, I do a lot of church service and ministry, if for this for any reason makes you wary, let me assure you: I play a lot more than just church music. As a lover of music, there is not much that I don't enjoy in the world of music, and I've taught most of it. I've taught the young and the not-so-young, and whether you're just beginning to read music, or you're just eager to learn your favorite song, I work closely with you to ensure you achieve the results you desire!
*** Lesson Details *** Four things I focus on: 1. Creating individualized lesson plans for you 2. Teaching you new techniques and polishing old ones 3. Building your confidence 4. Both of us having a fun, rockin' time!
When taking lessons from me, students can expect an environment that is a balance between being strict and laid back.Music is something that must be learned, and as such, it must also be practiced week-to-week in between lessons. I consider myself strict because I'll hold you accountable to doing your best to learn the best. Despite holding you accountable, I think the overall mood of the learning environment is laid back; we'll have a lot of fun learning music. I make sure that we'll be learning at your pace, but keep in mind, this doesn't mean I won't push you to be your best! My teaching experience has taught me one thing: everyone is different. That being the case, I create lesson plans that are unique to you. Where you will be in a month, six months, a year, largely depends on your commitment to learn, but I'll promise you this: all of my efforts will be utilized to maximize your potentiality.
*** Attendance Policy *** I am very flexible with attendance, but I do require a one hour notice that you will not be at the lesson. If a one hour notice is not given, the lesson will be marked as "missed" resulting in payment from your TakeLessons account for the missed lesson.
If you are simply running late, please be sure to let me know-I try to be as flexible as possible, but if the student is over 15 minutes late, I typically mark this lesson as "missed" as well.
*** Studio Equipment *** I provide the following equipment for in-studio lessons: Guitar amplifier Bass amplifier Drum Set Computer iPad Recording equipment Music stand Seating area for parents/guardians to sit/listen in on the lesson
*** Travel Equipment *** When offering in-home lessons, I provide the following when traveling for in-home lessons: iPad For in-home lessons, I expect students to have whatever equipment is necessary for learning their instrument of interest (This typically includes at least the student's instrument and a music stand, but may also include a metronome, tuner, etc.).
*** Specialties *** Rock, Jazz, Blues, Folk, Praise/Worship, Indie

We've only had 2 lessons so far and he is great! He is encouraging, polite, flexible, kind and takes the extra time if needed. He definitely knows how to teach and knows the natural developmental progression to build the foundation for a beginner and explains what the next goals she'll be working towards. He even learned a Justin Bieber song just to make my kid happy. Lol!
I truly enjoy teaching. I've taught in the public school classroom for 11 years. Teaching music is so so much FUN! And it should be fun for the students to learn. When I'm teaching I tell all my students that if they don't enjoy and smile about something, then we need to change something.
Kevin is an enthusiastic and professional teacher! He has built up my son's confidence, and given him opportunities to perform and hone his percussion skills. I highly recommend Kevin!

I was out of town when my 15-year old son had his lesson with Kevin, so I sent a text to my son to find out how it went. "He is the best guitar teacher ever!!" my son replied. I think that says it all.

First lesson was great! On the drive home Ava said, " I'm so excited I feel like I could run a marathon!"
Haha Thank you Kevin!
Teaching is what I do! I have TAed multiple classes and taught dozens of students. I teach piano and other music concepts, as well as STEM fields in school. I only teach concepts that I'm completely fluent in, however, so you always get the absolute best instruction possible!
I have been playing piano for over 12 years. I retrained from scratch in the Taubman Technique a few years ago and play with ease and effortless musicality! I have taught tons of students how to play the instrument, incorporating these concepts into their playing as well.
I also tutor in STEM topics, including all math, physics, chemistry, and others. I have tutored over 2 dozen students and helped many achieve great results. I have a Master's degree in applied physics, graduated Magna cum Laude, and am fully prepared to help you master your math/science class
Schedule a lesson with me! See yourself improve from someone who knows how people think and understands the topics enough to impart the same onto you!
My name is Ulyana and I'm passionate about teaching and tutoring! I graduated with a B.S. from Rice University (Houston, TX), specializing in earth sciences (geology and chemistry). I did my Masters in planetary geology at Brown University (Providence, RI), and for my PhD, I trekked over 1500 miles in Nepal, studying glacial lake flooding hazards to Sherpa villages, as well as impacts of pollution on pristine high mountains, including Mt. Everest.
For seven years now, I have either tutored or taught, in classrooms and in the field, all age groups, sharing the joy of science, math - and learning in general! When I was in my teens, I participated in many science fairs and symposia at the national and international level. Then I went to college and grad school in science. Pretty much, science has been my life! For any of your science need
s, with a special focus on astronomy and geology (earth sciences), I'm here to help. I can assist with physics, biology, chemistry and math (algebra, pre-calc, calculus). Given my experience in public speaking, the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Powerpoint, Word) and writing, I can assist with that as well!
If you're interested in creative lessons - with a true focus on your learning experience, I'm your tutor! Often times when working out in the field in extreme locations (e.g., Antarctica and Mt. Everest), I have to MacGyver solutions on the fly. I want to teach you how to think. This skill will serve you well, long into the future.
After graduating from Emory University, I started to work as a teacher at a Cambridge-certified high school in Europe teaching AS and A level Business Studies and Economics.
I quickly learned that the students at my high school needed college counseling and entrance exams. Families lacked support for the college entrance process.
So, I completed the University of California San Diego Extension College Counseling program and began working with students through the entire college process.
Ever since, I have been working with students and families during every step of the college application process - from exams and college selection/ application through the scholarship search and the final decision!
Within the past six years, I have tutored high school and college students in various math topics including geometry, algebra 1, algebra 2, and trigonometry. My strengths are in math topics. I helped teach a college anatomy lab course at High Point University before I moved to Florida. I have experience in biology, chemistry and physics. Each student that I worked with learned in a different way, so I strive to alter my tutoring style to meet the needs of the individual while meeting the class expectations. I am currently studying education at the University of Central Florida. My current classes teach new ways to convey information to a variety of students across settings and subjects. My lessons are fun and I use examples and fun tricks to remember the information!
My senior year of high school, I was the editor-in-chief of my newspaper called The Rangeview Raider Review. The same year under the direction of myself and advisor Zeb Carabello, our staff was awarded All Colorado (1st place) for Colorado Student Media Association (CSMA).
I've also received several 1st place awards for my news and opinion writing, and in 2019 I was awarded 3rd place in the state for Columnist of the Year.
I've put myself out there to vast audiences and have had my writing read and praised by those of high authority, including Justice Melissa Hart of the Colorado Judicial Branch and Mary Beth Tinker (Supreme Court Case Tinker v. Des Moines) to name a few.
Additionally, I've been teaching others how to improve their writing for the past two years, and I often receive compliments on how I am an easy and understanding

"Dr. Dianala has been instrumental with helping me develop reporting documents for my church. I was impressed with her help with another church where she
helped develop fliers and letters of introduction to organizations to help with the church's soup kitchen initiatives. Overall, it seems to me that Dr. Dianala can develop writing documents for any situation...She is wonderful!"
"Not too many writing instructors on here and glad with my choice. Ian started with basics and helped me figure out what types of writing interest me. Will
definitely take lessons again."
"Dr. Ilodi's Anatomy and Physiology classes gave me the foundation for a very successful nursing career. His teaching style and mnemonics helped me to unde

"Prajakta is a wonderful teacher. She understands the level of kids and work accordingly to make the things easy and fun to learn."

Writing and storytelling are great skills to teach your children. Parents and teachers alike can instill the love of storytelling in children to enhance their language skills, encourage reading, and stir their imagination. The trick, though, is to understand the roadblocks that kids may face and the storytelling techniques that help them overcome these issues.
