Carlton taught me to work harder, think further and make stronger bolder choices and commit to the choices I’ve made in my acting.
He taught me how to dissect a script to have a further deeper understanding of the story, the subtext, the character and their relationships. He taught me how to build a character and the exercises that will help me in the process such as movement work, animal exercise, writing a character bio and so on. He has a deep understanding of vivid behavior and details that will make a scene or a character come to life.
He is a well all-around trained acting teacher and a super hardworking person in general which has a positive influence on your own work ethics and your personal goals.
What makes him unique as an acting teacher is that he is still active in the business himself. So not only is he a good acting teacher but he is also up to date with the industry.

I have been dancing for 10 years + and I've received training from some of the most influential people in the Los Angeles area. I am submerging myself into the dance industry and have done professional dance jobs. I have great mentors and I can't wait to share the knowledge that I've learned with someone! :)
Hey! I am originally from Houston, Texas! I grew up in a lot of performing art schools so I've naturally been inclined to art my whole life. I began dancing when I was 10 yrs old and kept going with it until now! I was a part of a company back home and once I graduated high school I came to colleg
Guitar Performance from McNally Smith College of Music

Touring guitarist, experienced composer for film/media, and professional music instructor for the past 8 years! I graduated Magna Cum Laude from McNally Smith College of Music with two bachelor's degrees; Guitar Performance and Instrumental Composition. I have taught students of literally all ages (4-76) and most specialize in guitar, music theory, and composition. I also teach beginner to intermediate piano lessons! My greatest strong suit as a teacher is my incredible flexibility in adapting to the student's learning style. Originally a self-taught guitarist, I know the struggles of learning or continuing to better oneself on an instrument. I guarantee you that I will work hard and patiently with you to help you reach your musical goals!
Greetings! My name is Ethan Elseth and I have been working as a professional musician, composer/arranger, and teacher for the past 5 years. I tour nationally and internationally as lead guitarist with Minneapolis's very own Har Mar Superstar and am an active composer/arranger specializing in music

Over the past 12 years, we've given over 3,000,000 lessons to happy customers around the world.
Let's start with the positives. Denise puts in a good amount of effort in teaching you. She's flexible with accommodating your schedule, and she tailors her lessons based on what your goals are. This is evident from her referring to her notes when beginning her lessons with me. She also isn't a clock watcher who makes sure your lesson ends straight on the minute unlike some other teachers.
Is she effective as a speaking voice teacher? So far, yes there has been some progress made. Her methodology might be a bit more different than other speaking voice teachers I studied under. Other teachers focus more on the phonetic sounds, while Denise linger more toward stretches probably due to her dancing background. If you don't like Yoga type of stretches, you may be in for a bad time.
Keep in mind that due to my focus on developing a voice for acting, I'm also not having a pure speaking voice lesson as my lessons are intertwined with monologue work too. If you wish to take speaking voice lessons for public speaking, your mileage may vary.
So why a one-star deduction? Denise at the start can be pushy with trying to sell you more lessons. I mean it goes without saying that of course you'll see improvements faster if you can devote more time to any class, but time and money are factors that everyone should always consider. Let's be frank, private lessons on TakeLessons aren't cheap (unless you're rich of course). I was annoyed when she repeated her tactic three times, enough that it affected my decision to nearly not renew my monthly lessons with her.
She did cease when it seem like I wouldn't budge. Nevertheless, the pushiness did leave my experience a bit tainted, which made me question her sincereness with her excitement and positive reinforcement at times. I continue to give her a chance though because I do feel there's an ongoing improvement with my speech and line delivery. Also because we get along despite being complete opposites in some ways (which seem to frustrate and intrigue her). Despite being my teacher, I see her as a peer in a way because of how close in age we are, but I digress as this review is about her effectiveness as a teacher.
I would recommend giving Denise a try if you’re an actor seeking a speaking voice teacher. In person lessons are still best, but she has proven to be effective as an online teacher despite being a tad pushy with having you buy more lessons from her."
Every December, productions of The Nutcracker ballet add to the festivities and joy of the holiday season. You are probably already familiar with the story of a young girl who receives a magical nutcracker on Christmas Eve, but there are a few fun facts most people don't know about The Nutcracker. 1. In Germany, there is a folklore tradition based on the idea that nutcrackers protect your family and bring your home good luck. For this reason, nutcrackers were often given to children at Chris …
