My son loves his drum lessons. Being eight, he naturally has an excess amount of energy and a tendency to chat but Joe has a way of engaging him and keeps him learning. Very positive and supportive as well.

About Frank
Hi There,
My Name is Frank, Co-Founder & Instructor at San Jose's Sessions: Academy of Movement.
I have been teaching Parkour and Free Running of all ages & skill levels since 2009. I first started training Parkour in 2003. Ever since then it changed my life & so became my passion. After years of training I knew I wanted to teach, it became very natural for me to do so for I had a very broad understanding through my own trial & errors. Back then there were no Parkour gyms and it was just a growing sport and everything was self taught.
Either a beginner or experienced, my goal is to help others overcome obstacles efficiently, physically & mentally.
Parkour has had such a wonderful impact on my life as well as many others I have witnessed. Lessons at the Academy provide a fun and safe training environment. Technique and safety is always
the number one priority as well as having a great time. Feel free to contact me for any questions you may have. I look forward to training with you!

-Frank.

When I spoke with Frank on the phone, he was apologetic that there will be construction going on during the private parkour lesson in the facility. I told him I did not mind as long as his instruction was great. Well, the lesson with Frank proved to be outstanding. He had a positive energy, was very encouraging and patient, and he knew how to observe, break things down to manageable pieces, and build on student's success. My 13 year old son was also impressed with Frank and really liked the way he taught.

About Andy
Andy is a positive, knowledgable teacher and coach for anyone having/wanting to work in front of an audience or meeting, having to memorize text, analyze lines, sentences, plots and sell a story. Sessions search for paths to confidence as well as competence. A performer, director and teacher for over 30 years, I've studied teachers and students to learn that whatever frees a person to be comfortable with a task, and with the effort to develop skills, is a wonderful 'method'. We'd use movement, what-ifs, and references to life and death! And humor. Clients include a featured Narrator for SFGMC's winter show, an actor needing a monologue coach for her move to L.A., peninsula teens auditioning for their school musicals, and Bay Area youth and senior theater companies, and local community and professional performers. I taught high school dram
a while directing and acting in new and published plays and musicals in San Francisco, Berkeley, Oakland, Ross, Pacifica, New Haven and Los Angeles.

About Andrew
Andrew Huang has been dancing for more than 7 years. The passion for dancing began in high school where he fell in love with breakdancing and hip hop. Eventually, he branched off toward a different genre of dance. In San Jose State University (SJSU), where he obtained the BFA in Interior Design, he discovered Latin dancing, mainly salsa. And from then on, throughout his academic career, he had joined the SJSU Ballroom Dancesport team, and the SJSU Spartan Mambo. And, in the last two years in SJSU, he became the Ballroom Director for the student organization on campus.

Andrew's lesson is catered to help students to develop rhythm. His style of teaching not only include assisting students to develop mechanical skills, but also to coordinate the steps in according to the music and the beat. To do so, he incorporate drills and exercises
in his lessons to build proper muscle memory. The outcome of his lessons allows student to dance confidently on the dance floor at a dance party.

Andrew is available for private lesson. Feel free to shoot him a message, if you want to learn more about his background and availability.

About Angelica
I am a dance teacher; performer and choreographer.
I started dancing when I was a kid and it always kept me energized; motivated; ready to go an extra mile no matter what I do. I started going to Ballroom school when I was 11 and I loved dancing solo, with a partner or in the group. Dancing, performing and competing helped me understand myself better and boosted my confidence, creativity and ambitions.

I graduated from the Faculty of Law and Political Science but I never stopped dancing and about 4 years ago I started assisting the dance lessons, then got more and more training and finally started teaching Ballroom and Latin dances. It’s been amazing experience as I am able to share my passion, help people overcome their fears, shyness, help them express themselves and see how great there are and how dancing is important for our physic
al and mental health, how much it can improve the relationship/connection we have with ourselves and with other people.

I have been teaching all ages, singles and couples. You can choose to learn salsa, bachata, cha cha, swing, disco; rumba; samba; waltz; tango; foxtrot and I can also create a routine for your special wedding dance.

I would be very happy to hear what are your dancing goals and desires and to help you accomplish them!
