I began acting in community theatre when I was seventeen years old. It is something that I am absolutely passionate about. I have been fortunate enough to play some of the characters that I love; Nellie Forbush in "South Pacific"; Anita in "West Side Story"; Eliza Dolittle in "My Fair Lady" and Guinevere in "Camelot," to name a few. I have also been in two independent films.

I will be teaching two group lessons, one on Monday nights from 6:00-7:00 pm and one on Tuesday nights 7:00-8:00 pm. Monday nights will be for children and Tuesday nights for adults. I will be welcoming up to five students in each class. During my classes we will learn different acting techniques, among them improv and Stanislavski's Method.

My 30+ years of experience in community theatre and what I have learned from teachers and other actors is what I look forward to passing on to those who are as passionate about acting as I am.

About Tina
I started singing professionally at the age of fourteen. I have had leading roles in semi-professional theatre productions since I was seventeen. I have also been assistant director, musical director, choreographer, costumer and writer for many productions from West Side Story to My Fair Lady to Camelot. In the theatre I have worked with and trained children and adults of all ages. I have also conducted summer camps that were theatre workshops for children. I was a school teacher at a Charter school for eight years and I taught music and drama to children from Kindergarten to 12th grade. I have been giving voice lessons for more than twenty years. I tailor my programs based on the needs of my students. I am passionate about music and I love being able to share that with other individuals who are passionate about music. I have wor
ked with children and adults who told me "I cannot sing" and have shown them that, once you understand how your voice works, you can do things you never dreamed you could do. I will work hard to help anyone who has the love and determination to sing to improve and become a better singer.

Students I have worked with have won competitions and even been accepted into the AMDA in New York.

*** Lesson Details ***
The voice is an instrument and, like any instrument, you have to know all of its parts and how it works in order to get the most out of it. I teach my students how to properly use their voice without damaging their vocal chords. I teach vocal techniques and exercises to help my students become a better singer. My students will learn how to use their diaphragm; how to use dynamics; how to project; how to build up their lung capacity; how to sing in a clear and articulate manner; how to sing various different types of music; how to control their voice; and how to develop their natural ear for music as well as showmanship. My style and technique has been developed over many years of practical experience and learning from instructors and entertainers who work in the entertainment industry. My method of teaching is entirely my own and I have had a lot of success with it. I expect my students to work hard and be dedicated but I try to make the lessons not just instructional but fun.

*** Studio Equipment ***
Home-lessons taught in a designated music room, has an electric weighted keyboard and a karaoke machine.

I have recording capabilities that allow me to record my students and blend their voices with the background tracks that we work with. Once a song has been mastered, I record the song and email it to you so you can have it to enjoy and share with family and friends.

*** Specialties ***
I teach my students breathing techniques; how to use the diaphragm and relax the vocal chords; how to project; how to properly enunciate; how to perform a song instead of just singing it; showmanship; how to select the music that is right for them. The voice is an instrument and, like any instrument, you have to fully understand it and its different parts in order to get the most out of it.

My daughter started a series of lessons with Kristen in preparation of her high school play audition. It was very clear that Kristen is extremely knowledgeable of all technical aspects of singing & able to clearly communicate. My daughter really enjoyed her initial lesson w/ Kristen & is confident that she will be well prepared for her school’s play auditions.

Classes will be tailored to the student's level of expertise. However, we will work primarily on monologue work, scene work, if possible and historical overviews.

About Randy
I have always been an actor first, it is the craft and discipline in which I hold my advanced degrees; it is my first and eternal love. There really isn't much more one could add to such a claim. Simultaneously I have believed a teacher is born, not bred; and I was born to be in theatre, and now, with a few years behind me; I'm ready to pass on what I have learned. At the risk of tooting my own horn; I am well trained, professionally, both as an actor and a teacher with more than a few credentials to support those claims. I invite you to please peruse my background on the site and feel free to ask any questions you desire.

Regarding Texas Hold 'em (poker), I have been playing and teaching the game, and working for online casinos for over thirty years. My approach is simple, requires extreme discipline, but I can show you how to win mo
re than you lose. And this is true of all subjects I teach whether literal or figurative.

My undergraduate Bachelors is in Acting & Directing I was taught by the same professors who launched the students that formed the now famous Steppenwolf Theatre in Chicago (Illinois State University); I also have a Masters degree in Theatre History and Criticism (Theatrical Critical Theory). I have teaching experience both as a GA and in the private sector. I have been exposed to many different types of teaching styles and locales, (i.e. classroom, studio et.al). I hope that gives you a thumbnail concurrently I hope I didn't bore you to death.

Peace and Kindest Regards,
Randy

For me as an actor, the benefit of a great coach or director has always been that they've helped me reach places in my work I couldn't have achieved on my own. As a coach myself, I'm most thrilled by those small (or monumental!) breakthroughs that my students and I discover together during the coaching process. The cool thing is that I've found the progress my students make in their craft will often inspire me to new heights in my own. (A bonus to already enriching work)!

If you want to develop new material for upcoming auditions, hone and refresh (or completely change) your monologues, or simply work on the craft of acting, I can help. I work to gear your coaching sessions to the goals you need to achieve, offering an experience created around what you need to work on and want to learn.

With a BFA in Acting and Directing, an MFA in Classical Acting, and over 20 years of professional acting experience in the theatre and on-camera, I can offer tools for your tool belt ...

About Jason
I've been performing roles in the theatre and on-camera for over 25 years. My BFA in Acting and Directing and my MFA in Classical Acting have afforded me a wide variety of tools and skills to employ in the craft of acting. Performing with professional repertory companies like ACT Theatre, Book-It Repertory, Shakespeare Santa Cruz, and the Shakespeare Theatre in DC, I've gained personal knowledge of the art, craft, and business of being a working actor, which I will put to work for you, in a personalized one-on-one coaching session, either online or in person.

Here's how I can help.

SCENE WORK AND MONOLOGUES: Whether it's dusting off and refreshing monologues you've performed more times than you can count, or developing pieces or scenes for the first time for an upcoming stage or on-camera audition, we can break the material down togethe
r, work on the clarity of your choices and active objectives, and access your personal connection to the material so you'll be ready and confident with a one-of-a-kind performance that reflects the strengths you bring to acting and the story you want to tell.

SHAKESPEARE: Perhaps the most daunting of styles for a contemporary actor, we'll get down to the nuts and bolts of some of the most challenging (and rewarding) material. The famous soliloquies are famous for a reason and can certainly be intimidating, and more obscure material can seem thick and inaccessible. We'll chip away at the mystique of Shakespeare by digging in to the text and verse, activating the language with specificity, and cultivating your personal take on well-known characters or lesser known material they might not have seen before.

DIALECTS AND ACCENTS: From English to Irish to Southern American and beyond, a well executed dialect can be the edge you need to land (and play) that meaty role. I use a multipronged approach that involves ear training to develop an authentic sound, text analysis for clarity of sound substitutions (IPA Proficient), and exercises that pare away stilted and unnatural speech to cultivate an authentic sounding voice that will be your own.

VOICEOVER: I've been booking voiceover gigs on TV, radio, and the internet for over 10 years with clients like Microsoft, Liberty Mutual, UW Medicine, Tableau, Reno Toyota, and Golden One State Credit Union. I can offer tips and tricks of the trade, as well as techniques that can take your VO submissions to the next level and help you book these lucrative contracts.

Let's get started!

Now he is working with my older daughter to help her get ready to audition at UW and get a working reel together. He is fantastic and really good with any learning differences or styles that might come up.

Whether you have a big audition, a class or meeting with a casting director, there are multiple layers to an audition or self-tape that go way beyond knowing your lines, eye-lines and camera angles. I can help you prepare and perform like a seasoned pro.

In very quick bursts we dive into the character and merge that with technical expertise so your audition is always in your body and never in your head. This leaves you free to play! Coaching with me is always fun and we maintain that sense of play and enthusiasm that makes you magnetic in your auditions.

About Hunter
I love to help new performers and people looking to break into the biz, as well as seasoned actors who want to up-level their career or deepen their craft. I have been coaching actors since 2008 and have a unique combination of experience and training to help you launch your career and create work that stands out to casting directors & agents and to make self-tapes that shine above the rest.

I have spent more than 20 years working in the entertainment industry in 8 countries. This includes modeling, commercials & print work in Athens & Istanbul, acting in Toronto & London, UK, and even screen writing, before diving into the big market of Los Angeles that I now call home.

With 10 years of vocal training (primarily spoken level voice & breath work for actors) voiceovers has also been a big part of my career, recording voices on more
than 400 projects to date.

My love for the craft brought me to study in NYC with legendary acting coach Uta Hagen: a process that transformed my approach and led to such roles as Blanche in Streetcar Named Desire and Karen in David Mamet's iconic Hollywood satire, Speed The Plow. I have also appeared on screen in The Bandit Hound II with Lou Ferrigno, Paul Sorvino & Catherine Bell & on TV in Mutant X, Doc, Singles Court, PSI Factor: Chronicles of the Paranormal and has hosted for HGTV. Currently I'm voicing 5 characters (English language dubbing) on the mega hit TV series Babylon Berlin and shooting a sitcom pilot! How fun is that?!

Hunter has really helped me a lot! In only a few months I have almost no accent left. I came to the US for work about 5 years ago but English was not my first language. I am very educated and read and write it well, but people did not always understand me easily when I spoke due to my accent. I was also not as confident in making business presentations to my colleagues who are native English speakers. Now, I have almost no accent at all when speaking English! Finally, no more of people asking me "where are you from?" I'm really happy for Hunter's help. She is so friendly and easy to talk to and makes the lessons fun to do! I would highly recommend her coaching if you want to lose your accent and speak perfect American English.

Hunter is clearly an experienced actor, knows how actors work best and how to get actors to bring out their very best work. She gives you just the right mix of adjustments and encouragement to really find the character for yourself and make it your own. She is always willing to go the extra mile and makes sure that you really “get” the scene. I feel so grounded and 100% prepped after every coaching session with her. I am a much better actor today because of the work we have done. #sograteful! She really is the best!

Before I begin, you must know that there is no "one way of acting". Each person has their own methods that work for them, and they are discovered along the way. With that being said, one must find the right teacher that is the best fit for them. The Meisner Technique has been taken apart and put back together over the years, I teach it the way that he originally began it... one could also call it The Montes Method. Also, I tap into Strasbourg Technique. As a professional actor and acting coach, you have to keep training to stay on top. To teach acting is not only a pleasure for me, but it's also a must, as acting is my biggest addiction.

About Blake
Today we have access to a mega-powerful tool that can bring our ideas from text to the big screen in a matter of weeks. To go from a photo to a billboard. A group chats to a leading production team. A voice memo to a hit song. Today, everyone can be heard in high definition, seen in 4k, and shared on any Online Platform or Big Screen, thanks to an incredible technological advance called the smartphone. You wanna be part of the success stories? Then let me show you all the right tools to use today and how to use them to their maximum potential. Whether you are an aspiring filmmaker (short, feature, documentary), Vlogger, content provider or even business owner. Let me show you how easy it is to turn your smartphone from a simple communication tool to an intergalactic spacecraft that can transport your dreams into reality on the go.
To be mobile. Film in Cinematic quality anywhere. Forget the office, you have a whole factory in your pocket.

I have been nominated over 20 times and have won 5 awards internationally, and I have been recognized by the ACS (Australian Cinematographer Society) for my skills in filmmaking. I have also been recognized by AFI and AACTA for being one of the leading filmmakers who has been using mobile technology to its full potential.

I have over 25+ years of experience as a professional actor in television, film and theater. My approach to the work incorporates a number of acting tools, tips and exercises that are easy to grasp and apply. These tools are designed to help encourage spontaneity, naturalistic and compelling human behavior and allow you to bring a cool confidence to your work as an actor. Acting is a skill that needs to be honed and developed so you are excited about what you can bring to a role. I LOVE what I do and sharing my skills and craft with you is a thrill! Let's get started!

About Danielle
I have 25+ years of professional acting experience in televison, theater and film. I am a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst where I received a B.A. in Theater and English. I also attended the prestigious National Theater Institute at the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center in Waterford, CT. I am a working actress, acting coach and entrepreneur. I love working one-on-one with students using tools and exercises that I have "collected" over the years. I incorporate these tools along with improvisation, relaxation techniques and long-standing rehearsal exercises all designed to encourage spontaneous, authentic and natural behavior. The tools I use make sense, are easy and fun whether they be used in the rehearsal room, on set or in preparation for an audition.

I have studied Meisner, The “Method” and more classical approaches
to the work yet it was my time spent studying with the late actress/writer/director, E. Katherine Kerr as well as Seth Barrish, founder and co-artistic director of NYC's The Barrow Group, that provided many AHA! moments for me as an actress. It was through their unique and easily relatable approaches to the work that I was able to allow myself to "be" rather than "act".

I have coached one-on-one, taught at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts (AADA) as well as given workshops and master classes. My credits include: Television: Person of Interest; The Sopranos; Ugly Betty; Prison Break; All My Children; One Life to Live; Another World, Guiding Light Film: The Brave One; Tadpole. Theater: One Hand Theater, The Summer Fringe, The Barrow Group, Second Stage, Playwrights Horizons, The Lark, H.E.R.E., Studio Arena Theater and has performed live at Town Hall, NYC with Garrison Keillor on NPR’s A Prairie Home Companion and can be heard on APHC’s A Pretty Good Joke Tape along with Alison Janney, Paula Poundstone and Roy Blount Jr. I am a proud member of AEA and SAG-AFTRA.

I lived in Manhattan for over 20 years and am now back in Fairfield County, CT after 4 years in Los Angeles. I provide one-on-one coaching online from my studio. I work with a wide age range, assorted skill levels and am also available for audition coaching.

I'm so lucky to have worked with Ben over the course of several years. His direction has helped to totally transform me from someone who likes to act into an actor. Ben knows how to bring the best out of his students and does so with warmth and optimism. He understands the anatomy of a scene and is totally able to maximize your potential. With his enthusiasm and theatrical prowess, it will be hard to not become passionate about acting.

Ben directed the musical Into the Woods, and I played the Narrator/Mysterious Man. At first I was a bit unexcited about the part, but Ben's direction shaped it into my favorite role I've played yet. I believe it was in this show I began to immerse myself in the parts I played on stage, and I mostly credit that to him. I saw some of the best performances out of my cast mates as well.

All in all, Ben knows what he's doing and I'd recommend him to anyone excited about acting. You'll be surprised on how much you'll improve. He's the best!

I am thrilled whenever I get the chance to work with Ben. He always manages to help me not only to do well in shows, but to improve as an actor in general. He has a wide range of knowledge in the theater, so I am able to learn about many aspects of acting and theatre in general. As a director, Ben not only has a great vision, but can also explain to the actors what that vision is, and how they can best achieve it. He is always willing to answer questions and help me in any way that he can. He makes the people around him feel comfortable and safe, so they don't feel judged when experimenting on the stage. He inspires me every time we work together, and offers endless encouragement. Without great teachers like Ben, I never would have had the tools, or confidence, to follow my passion of theatre.
