Elena was able to teach someone 500 miles away the basics to a slew of different Latin ballroom dances (salsa, marengue, bachata, cumbia step, etc.) In just a few lessons I was able to feel comfortable enough with the steps and timing to be able to dance in public with others! She was very amazing and was willing to accommodate to my needs as a student. She gave plenty of reference material as well as songs so that I'd be able to practice when not taking lessons. I would highly recommend her as a teacher to anyone who is wanting to learn Latin Ballroom dance, but doesn't know where to start!

I have a masters degree in education and experience writing scholarly articles for journals. I began writing poetry at an early age and won several competitions for this. When I began writing technical papers, I wanted to engage my readers the same way I did with my poetry. To accomplish this, I took writing training courses. I also work continuously on improving my writing skills. I recently completed a masters thesis and was commended for my writing. When teaching writing, I not only help my students complete their assignments, I give them tools to continue developing their skills.

About Dianne

Hello, I am a certified teacher and also an engineer. My main goal as an educator is to help students realize their true potential. Beyond helping my students complete homework or learn a new skill I provide them with tools for success. I teach my students so they can take charge of their learning.

I stress understanding rather than memorizing formulas. This ensures my students can derive formulas/solutions even without memorization.

I know firsthand how difficult it is to learn programming whether you are a total newbie, or a budding intermediate, but I have overcame these challenges myself and will guide you to overcome them too. I also have close to 8 years of tutoring experience, which will surely come in handy!

About Bill

I have always been a self-studier in my entire life. Being able to learn with just books and your brain is a crucial skill to have! However, I know not everyone (and sometimes even myself) have the discipline and motivation to keep going during hard times. This is where a tutor would come in handy.

"Daniel helped me reinstall core Algebra 2 concepts that I learned the past year within a couple of hours. He helped thoroughly explain concepts that I might have had trouble with, and tried to find different approaches to the problem, so that I could derive the answer. He truly is a caring tutor and person."

He guided my son in current lesson plans and then helped to develop skills needed for future chapters. He showed a desire to teach and develop tools to help him achieve high scores and to learn concepts or rationals for the importance of each equation.
