les that may seem too hard to the student. I will start my students off with the basic vocal warm ups and then move on to material that they would like to cover and if so the student doesn't have material to cover, I will present them with material. Being a singer is not easy at all, so I will challenge my students by giving exercises that challenge them to sing for proficient. I will also bring in material that is brand new and ask the students questions about the piece. The student is in the lesson to learn everything about music, so any type of material that I feel will benefit them and help them move closer to their goal, I will definitely present to them. After 3 to 6 months students will be able to sing in the 3 minor keys and the major key. The student will also have knowledge and know how to sing at least 3 different modes. The singer will know how to read basic sheet music and perform it with solfege. The singer will also have 4 songs of my choice or their choice mastered and ready to perform in front of an audience. Lastly, the singer will have knowledge of proper breath control while performing, usage of a microphone, and intonation.

I've been working with Keanon for almost a year now. Aside from being an amazing vocalist himself, he does everything he can to help students reach their full potential and find their voice. Knowing at the age of 5 that music was my life, by being brought up surrounded by praise music and gospel, my early exposure to music helped me to find every Instrument and style just my thing! I wanted to play everything and learn all aspects of music. I started with singing in the children's choir and then developed into piano and music theory. At the age of 12 I began to learn classical guitar, and at 15 took on various styles like Flamenco, Jazz and Rock. I graduated from High School having played in the school band achieving recognition In national Institutions Like IAJE (International Association for Jazz Education) and state band finals. I was also composing from a very early age, and at 18 released my first album (self-titled) which can still be heard and purchased today through various music outlets, since i have released over 15
albums with various ensembles and bands. In college I already knew from my previous experience that I wanted to teach and pass on the joy that music brought to my life. I studied Music Theory and Jazz and finished my degree in Music Education. I have been teaching all in all for about 14 yrs. And I have enjoyed every minute I have spent with my students learning as much from them, as them from me. I am looking forward to meeting new and eager students who really want to bring their inner music out to share with the rest of us music aficionados! and develop their skills to the peak of their abilities.
*** Lesson Details *** My teaching method ranges depending on the student. I believe in my experience that everyone learns differently, therefore everyone develops at their own pace. I try to find key strengths in each student and expose this to their advantage, using their abilities to further develop their skills, this method has shown the most promising results and students usually find themselves playing and performing just a couple of months after their first lessons. Part of my method involves a lot of performance and recital opportunities to help break any fears and inhibitions a student may bring with them. Crystal brings a lifetime’s experience of professional musicianship to each of her lessons. Born into a family of musicians, she sang her first solo at age 2. She also benefits her students with an extraordinarily diverse musical background, having worked as a vocalist in gospel, country, musical theater, jazz, classical, rock, pop and soul styles. Her performing career has taken her from L.A. church meetings to London’s Houses of Parliament.
Crystal hails originally from Los Angeles, CA - where her musical parents gave her a head start by including her in the family business the moment she was able to contribute. She went on to study classical voice, piano and music theory at The Boston Conservatory of Music. After concluding her studies in London, she returned home and began working regularly as a theater performer, appearing in twen
ty world premiers and re-imagined classics. Most notably she played the lead role of Keely Smith in the big band jazz musical “Louis and Keely: Live At The Sahara” during its eight-month run at Westwood’s Geffen Playhouse. She also formed her own rock band, The Honeysuckle Jones Revival, with whom she performed her own songs all over Los Angeles. And she began working as a studio session vocalist, providing demo vocals for other songwriters, as well as arranging and performing back-up vocals for original artists, including Laura Roppe (currently in the Top Ten on Billboard’s Uncharted list of emerging artists.) Crystal played the lead role of Brooke in the new operatic rock musical “The Burning Opera LA” during its Los Angeles run in 2011 as well as providing ensemble vocals and playing piano and bass. She also performs holiday tunes from the Golden Age of American songwriting with musical quartet The Sleigh Belles.
Crystal believes that music is serious business but that it should be fun. She encourages her students to play music they love, as well as expanding their musical knowledge. She is a firm believer in basics first and emphasizes theory and technique as the tools to support creativity and provide freedom, power and control. She believes effort beats talent every time and the student who practices consistently will see results, whatever their level of ability. Most of all, she believes we were all born to make music.

After 3 or 6 months of consistent lesson attendance and practice, students will have a clear understanding of how their instrument works and how to care for it. Amazing singng instructor
Crystal has increased my daughterâs self-esteem and expressiveness through song. My daughter is now writing her own poetry and song lyrics, as well as being able to combat her once shyness quality. She loves to perform in front of others now and has a confidence level that amazes me, especially now that she is going into those âteenâ years. I think a lot of thanks needs to go to Crystal, for assisting my daughter in reaching her current creative level!

The objective is 'the truth' to which end there is no one technique. Actors are encouraged to find their own tools and to draw from elements of different practices to discover a technique that works best for them as individuals.
I studied the methods of Constantin Stanislavski for acting with Sergei Pomerov of the Moscow Circus Theater. I am classically trained as well.
I work primarily as a guide to help navigate the way and to interpret ‘the signs.' I teach the lesson in the moment and address the challenges of both the beginner and the experienced actor.
***Classical Work*** My basic approach to classical work focuses primarily on the connection of the breath with the feeling on the word.

Jonathan is a fantastic voice teacher. Not only can he sing incredibly well but he can teach incredibly well too. He has a very strong background in vocal technique with an Undergrad and Masters degree in voice. Can't wait to continue to progress with Jonathan's help.
As a voice and speech instructor, my course work focuses on alignment, posture, breath, resonance, projection, and speech. I believe that voice work is the link between inspiration and performance, so I come at my voice work with a very physical, emotional technique.
Alexandra has a BA from the University of Southern California (Recipient of Doolittle Award: Outstanding Female Performer of graduating class) and an MFA from the American Repertory Theater/Moscow Art Theater Institute for Advanced Theatre Training at Harvard University. My goal is not only to help you deliver an attention holding speech, but also to help you become more comfortable speaking in front of your large or small crowd. Whether you're giving a 5-minute presentation to a board room of executives, delivering a sermon, or describing yourself in an interview, I will work to help you to take what you've written and present it confidently.
I grew up in the Northern Virginia area and have spent the last 15 years participating in some form of public speaking, whether through acting, directing, or delivering speeches. I have a B.S. in Theatre and Acting. I have delivered numerous speeches in front of crowds as small as one and as large as a few hundred. Currently I work in a position that requires public speaking to a crowd of at least 200 each week.
***Lesson Details*** I am fun and laid back in my style of teaching. I expect that the student will have pieces prepared or in mind for us to work on. Because public speaking can be troubling on its own, I try my best to provide an atmosphere where the student can feel comfortable.
I often will use very short clips of other speakers to provide ideas on both vocal and physical delivery. I do encourage the student to
practice what we cover on their own, and to come prepared each session.
I do not teach "mechanical" speaking. Some of the points we will work through will be annunciation, pausing, facial expression, volume, awkwardness, delivery, what to do with your hands, and most important, being comfortable. I have a good ear for fine tuning a vocal performance, and a few solutions to help out with difficult moments. My goal is to help you deliver unique, confident, even enjoyable speeches for any occasion: sermons, monologues, board room presentations, opening/closing statements, interviews, etc.

***Specialties*** I specialize in speeches of short to moderate length (1-30 minutes). Monologues from plays/musicals will be approached differently.
