About LK
I am a singer-pianist-actor Or a pianist-singer-actor. :-)
I have a bachelors degree in voice performance and a minor in piano and theater.
I have a masters degree in voice as well as a second masters in piano literature.
i have a certificate in comedy improvisation from Second City and am a professional actor. I am the owner and senior talent agent of a large talent agency in the DFW area.
My post graduate work is in vocal pedagogy.
I have been a professional teacher and performer for over 20 years.
I own and manage a professional talent agency in the DFW area.
My students come in every model imaginable - and I wouldn't have it any other way. Raw beginner or veteran actor or musician, professional recording artist, College music major or American Idol wannabe.

The arts are such a great language for communicating. I grew up
with two parents who were professional musicians (mom is a concert pianist) and I also raised 3 children who are professional musicians. We made music our native language in our home. We all have the ability to speak music when it is spoken to us. I don’t ever remember not playing the piano. I started winning piano competitions in high school. I minored in piano, and then did additional post graduate work in piano. I “speak” piano. It has served me so well as a teacher, composer, opera coach. It is really a gateway to understanding all other instruments. The same scenario with my singing.

I began my professional career as an opera singer which has taken me around the world. I have premiered works by Leonard Bernstein and Samuel Adler in addition to principal roles and concert work with Pittsburgh Opera, The Pittsburgh Symphony, Dayton Opera, the Tuscia Opera Festival and hundreds of professional engagements. I have also had the wonderful opportunity to belt the National Anthem for several major league teams in a television appearance- and has done so on multiple occasions. (Pittsburgh Pirates, Pittsburgh Penguins, Pittsburgh Steelers, Cincinnati Reds) I am passionate about vocal jazz and musical theater and am frequently found as a performer in various national and regional venues. Feature concert works include PBS (Gershwin in Concert) as well as featured solo concert works (Pergolesi Stabat Mater) on Italian Public TV.

My approach to music has always been to do what you love. I have never limited myself as a performer to a genre or an instrument. I have explored, applied myself to and enjoyed a very diverse musical career. If you have a passion for an instrument or style of music let's start there first... and then let's discover together all the things you do that uniquely define your musicianship style.

I utilize audio and video recordings almost every week for all my students. I routinely promote and encourage my students to participate in a wide variety of competitions, recitals, workshops and master classes.

I have a very low turnover rate for students and a very high rate of students who have progressed to professional full time careers in music. Students like being a part of my studio and really like the confidence they have in their music abilities in a very short period of time.

I do not use the same curriculum for all students, in face, each curriculum is customized for that student. The components are similar: technique, repertoire, theory, listening, composing, recording and performing.

You can expect the following:You will feel very encouraged and supported in your talent. You will have measurable improvement in your skills. I teach from a method base and will work on monologues, scenes, and audition materials, collaborating with you on what it is you need to understand how we go about doing this thing called acting. I can work virtually. One thing you must know about me, I am nice. I won't crush your dreams. I will, however, make sure you attain them. I can come to you or you can meet me where I teach. Actors; we will address, technique for film, stage, on camera, audition technique, monologue, scene study, script analysis and sessions that educate and support actors and singers to work in the entertainment industry.
I offer one on one coaching in studio, and online, offering tools to empower the speaker, executive and entrepreneur to communicate with authenticity and confidence.
Many of my students work with me to overcome years of unaddressed shyness and to audition for universities, agents and roles. Many secure agents, and positions and are accepted to the universities they desire, including but not limited to; NYU Tisch, Carnegie Mellon, Oxford, USC, UCLA and Chapman, t
o name a few.

I am a member of the Screen Actors Guild and American Federation of Television Artists and Actors Equity Association, a Critics Circle Award Winning Actor and I am a working artist. I am committed to helping artists experience their craft in a supportive, safe and challenging environment. Oh, I am really nice.
I am most influenced by Stanislavsky and Lee Strasberg.
I studied at HB Studio in NYC and Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music
I teach communication skills using tools that actors use to help professionals outside of show business. It is extremely effective.

You can see my actors on shows such as, HBO's, Thirteen Reasons Why, WestWorld, Blue Jasmine, Touching Home, and productions at Equity theatres throughout the country and countless National commercials. Most have joined SAG-AFTRA and Actors Equity.
When you study acting / singing performance w/ me you'll learn how to navigate the business because you must know how.

Auditions!!
They are definitely the most difficult and nerve wracking part of being an actor or singer, right? Booking work means your audition has to be as good as opening night.
Auditioning is about preparation and preparation takes consistent support. Look, showbiz is not a business about being alone. Artists thrive when working together. We are a collaborative bunch and collaborating to make sure you're ready and organized for your auditions makes sense.
Stop trying to muscle through this necessary step alone. No one who works consistently does that! They ask for help. ASK FOR HELP!!
Solidify your acting choices so you don't have to worry about them the day before your audition. Know your prep so you can internally drop into it when the casting director says, "Whenever you're ready."
Have your music material and performance choices prepared ahead of time.
BE AHEAD OF SCHEDULE.
Work with me when your agent sends you your sides so you show up READY. Know your lines. It's OK if your struggling with memorization.
Let's figure out How YOU memorize.
Let me coach you for online audition submissions.
If we are working virtually I will coach while you are taping yourself to submit your online audition. It works!
Let me collaborate with on script analysis in order for you to you understand your material before you audition.
Take your work seriously so you bring your most intelligent and inspiring work to the audition rooms.
You'll be bringing the agents, casting directors, directors, producers and writers the inspiration they crave regarding their beloved projects. Do that and you're gonna book.
I know you can work and I can't wait to make it happen with you.

We will work on getting that Monologue or Scene to stand out, be powerful, honest, clear and uniquely you. Casting Directors, Directors, Teachers and Conservatories want to see you - how you work, how you interpret, how you listen and how you engage. When we are nervous, often this energy gets in the way of a us seeing you. In my sessions, we learn to work with the energy of fear and with nerves. We find ways to access your unique imagination, your impulses, to put the focus on the text and on the present moment. I have extensive experience teaching acting young people ages 10-18. My students have gone on to work professionally in Film, TV and Theater and have been accepted to programs like NYU Tisch, AMDA, California Institute of the Arts, and more. As a fellow actor who works professionally, I am passionate about supporting younger artists and helping them have healthy and successful careers in this industry. I look forward to working with you!

About Claire
I hold an MFA in Acting from the California Institute of the Arts and have been teaching professionally for over ten years. I teach Acting and Auditiong to young actors (10-18 years) and I also teach Public Speaking, Voice/Speech and Accent Reduction to those looking to find more ease and power when using their voice in front of others. I have taught, directed and coached young actors who have gone on to work professionally in Film, TV and Theater and my students have been accepted to renowned conservatories and universities across the country (NYU Tisch, California Institute of the Arts, AMDA and others). I am a passionate teacher who believes in the individual and in unlocking the creative genius, the impulses, the imagination and the unique forms of expression within each of my students. In my sessions, I encourage my students to
“play” and to discover how to both lean in and tap in to what is there and then develop relaxation, ease and focus on the task at hand - a monologue, an audition, a speech or working with a text. In addition to teaching and coaching actors, I have worked extensively in the corporate worlds in areas of Voice, Speech and Presentation as a coach and have taught group classes on Public Speaking and Presentation. I have taught and coached students from China, Russia, Taiwan, Italy, Japan in addition to the U.S. Throughout the ten plus years that I have been teaching, I have helped both actors and non-actors, those in the professional business world, gain tools that lead to freedom and ease of expression when speaking in front of others, be it at an audition, an interview, giving a presentation to a board or speaking in front of thousands at a Ted Talk.

Hallie Todd is amazing. Hallie first worked with my daughter Lizzy Kay when we lived in Perth in 2013 and she would skype with Lizzy every saturday morning for over a year. We worked that way for well over a year before moving to the US. Hallie helped Lizzy with Film and Television audition prep as well as scene study. Most of Lizzy's auditions were taped so it was critical that Hallie help Lizzy prepare for her performance on camera. Hallie would assess the sides with Lizzy and break down the scenes, the relationships and the central dramatic conflict that needed to be demonstated. In particular Hallie understands that the taped session is the best opportunity to help get callbacks. Hallie in particular assisted Lizzy with her audition prep for management representation. Lizzy was signed up by Luber Roklin Entertainment as a result of her work with Hallie. Now in LA Lizzy is auditioning in the room with Casting Directors and all the hard work that Hallie put in has paid off. To-date Lizzy has had several call backs including Director Sessions. Lizzy also recently won an Award of Excellence for her lead role in a Short Film which recently screened in St Tropez and Cannes Film Festivals.

Hallie has been my teacher and coach for six years now, and there is no one I would rather learn from. She has an incredible gift for working with actors: finding the most interesting take on a scene, teaching and utilizing various techniques to strengthen and widen an actor's toolbox. After all my time studying with Hallie I never feel at a loss when I'm handed a scene, no matter what that may be - comedic, dramatic, action-filled or technical. Her teaching is precise and astute, and I honestly cannot recommend her highly enough. As a student in her class, I was lucky enough to be cast in "The Mooring", a film Hallie produced, starred in and co-wrote which was picked up by Lionsgate - my first professional film job and one of the most remarkable experiences of my career. As a teacher, collaborator, and mentor, Hallie is amazing and inspiring and has made an enormous impact on both my career and my life.

I have been a professional actor in the film + television industry for 16 years and counting. My training is mainly based in Meisner, with a degree in Character + Script Analysis from one of the best 2-year conservatories in the nation. I have also completed a Shakespeare Intensive course at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. I have a background in Uta Hagan's methods, Stanislavsky, Stella Adler and Lee Strasberg, so whatever your fancy, I would be able to help in a way specific to your process. I am still a working actor and have years worth of on-set experience as well and could help with any audition prep needed. I love working with actors helping them reach a greater level of understand of themselves + their processes!

About Haley
Hello! As someone who's worked professionally as an actor for over 17 years, I know first-hand how difficult it can be to find a coach you're comfortable with or who understands your particular process. No two actors are alike and what may work for one, may not work for another.

Meisner's technique was the one that has resonated deepest with me. The 2-year conservatory I graduated from taught his methods with a strong emphasis in the original precepts of Stanislavsky. However, before that I spent years studying Lee Strasberg, Uta Hagan, Boleslavsky and Michael Chekhov's methods. You could indeed say I've tried it all. I worked like a dog over a bone while studying and I know I'll never truly be done, which is also unbelievably exciting to me.

While my training is more theater-based, my experience is mainly in film + television. I
started working as a teenager and haven't stopped. My experience has also ranged from big budget movies (The Final Destination) to grittier, independent fare (Sugar Mountain). I have been the lead of every film I've done, save for one, which happened to be directed by my brilliant acting teacher, and I have worked with some of the most respected actors in the industry (Beau Bridges, Aidan Quinn, Jason Momoa, Rainn Wilson to name a few). I have had recurring guest stars on TV shows (Teen Wolf) and one episode arcs on others (The Librarians, Beauty and the Beast, Major Crimes). I also produce, write + direct my own films.

I love acting so much and I love people who are dedicated to becoming the best actors they can be. I have such a reverence for this art form, but recognize the importance of being irreverent while searching for a higher truth in a moment. I truly look forward to working + playing together to help you become a more truthful, confident actor!

Teaching came to me through the recommendations of my own acting teachers. When I followed their advice I found that I could really connect and communicate with my students with the same clarity and communication that I had with other actors. I found that I could really assess and convey to them what they needed to really crystallize both their experience and delivery of a given character and/ or scene, and in such a way that they REALLY enjoy the process! Together we take them on a journey of enhanced self-discovery and delivery. My lifetime in the performing arts, close to 20 years of professional acting (on both coasts), years of intensive study with some of the true greats (Gary Austin, Dave Razowsky, Barbara Niven, Terry Schreiber, Wenndy Mackenzie, Jeffrey Sweet, Carol Fox Prescott, and others), and experience directing, casting, and producing in Los Angeles all inform the process we engage. I'm proud to say that many of my students have exclaimed that my class was the best, or ...

About Rob
*PLEASE NOTE: I am currently away a lot, so most sessions will be online. HOWEVER, when signing up check with me re our locations at the time and perhaps we can schedule an in-person session. ALSO, I LOVE to travel to locations to teach private tutorials or group workshops and would love to do so! So, let me know if that's something you'd like to coordinate.

I've been so blessed to have had game-changing acting teachers who really "got," affirmed, challenged, invigorated, and transformed me. They've helped me in so many ways in my career and life overall. I want you to have that, too! I LOVE THE PROCESS - AND YOU WILL, TOO! There is as much joy and discovery to be had in every acting moment as there is technical prowess to be honed, and in order to make the whole thing synergize both have to be involved and engaged. The truth is that
you, as you are, have a great deal of it already covered, but you just may not know what you know and what you have. Discovering that is joyful and empowering, and the rest is a combination of learning how to perfect and wield what you already know and learning the tools and techinques you don't yet know. Then it's a matter of repeating and honing that with someone who you can trust; a teacher who really gets you, your type(s), your joy, your own unique colors and qualities.

You also need a teacher and coach who knows the particulars and requirements the industry has and will expect of you. I've worked on the east coast, in Los Angeles, and other places around the country, on stage and on the big and small screens. I performed for years on the world renowned Groundlings stage under the direction of The Groundlings' founder Gary Austin, in his Improv Troupes. He literally gestated the original SNL yet openly referred to our group as "the best group of improvisational actors I've ever worked with in my entire career!" I still can't get over that one and probably never will. I also studied with Dave Razowsky, Michael Gellman, Jeffrey Sweet, Carol Fox Prescott, Wenndy Mackenzie, Terry Schreiber, Barbara Niven, John Strawbridge, and others. I found myself on many a stage out there while acting in films, etc., as well. Along the way I've also directed, produced, and cast feature films and shows, and of course taught. SO, let's get you on the track to real learning and growth. Also, as I put together other workshops and conferences with other teacher associates of mine - expert, renown actors and teachers from New York, Hollywood, and elsewhere - I'll keep you posted so you can not just go to but live in the next level. I look forward to it.

**NOTE: I'm now bi-coastal, dividing my time primarily between Los Angeles, CA and Baltimore, MD, but am also often in NYC and DC. So, wherever you are, if we're in geographical proximity to each other when you need a session, we'll meet up in person; and if not, no worries, we'll work together online right here in the online classroom! We'll just play it by ear. (I will also travel to any city where there are enough students interested in taking a class and offer an intensive workshop, and possibly also private coaching if time allows. We'll work out the details and pricing for those on a case-by-case basis, but please don't hesitate to contact me about such an event if you're interested in one. I'm happy to do these kinds of classes!)

Hi Everyone.

I'm an acting coach. I have a Master of Fine Arts in Acting from Tisch School of the Arts, New York University.

Over the last 25 years I've coached many students for major network auditions via manager of agent referrals. What makes my lessons unique is that I also created original theatre with kids through improvisation. That fun approach is the core of everything I do.

I believe that if you start with who "you" truly are, with what makes you unique, you'll always be able to find your truth in any character or role. That's what will make your audition stand out. That's what will make you grow as an actor.

For those just interested in learning because you've never done this before and always wanted to... my lessons would be perfect! My youngest LA clients were 5 years old. For online lessons students must be at least an early reading level.

Auditioning for your local theatre or school play and need to learn a monologue or scene? I'm happy to

About Dawnnie
Hi Everyone!

I'm an IMTA Director. What does that mean? If you study with me and have a desire to compete in one of the upcoming IMTA (International Models and Talent Competitions) let's discuss how to get you there! IMTA promotional Video attached to my videos for your review.

I have a Master of Fine Arts in Acting from New York University Tisch School of the Arts, a BA in Drama from UC Santa Barbara. I've also attended Cal Poly Pomona, UCLA and New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts back when it was called the New York School for Film and Television.

I also create original theatre from improvisation with kids and teens. Everything I do I approach with that same fun spirit in mind.

Follow your passion and the rest will come. 🎭 As an actor over the last 25 years I have come to realize that none of us is ever actually
in competition with one another. We are only in competition with our own best selves. We are each unique and have unique talents to offer the world that begin with your own unique core. No one else is “you.” So dare to follow your creative dreams. Let us continue to build one another up.

A little shout out to creative parents! I have a toddler and with her in mind I have opened my own acting studio, Tehachapi Academy of Dramatic Arts. It's my way of sharing my many years of experience with other artists and students while staying close to home with my little one.

Tehachapi Academy of Dramatic Arts (TADA Acting Studio) MISSION:
We’ve seen firsthand how dramatic and creative play can increase confidence, team building skills, vocabulary, and much more at every age from kids to adults. Even those not seeking a professional acting career flourish in whichever path they choose partially due to their creative beginnings.
Our mission is to be part of that creative growth in any way we can.

I’ve gone to Brad before the last 3 auditions I did and he has helped tremendously. He’s very knowledgeable when it comes to understanding a monologue. Brad cares about this art form and thinks far beyond just saying lines with an emotion and it shows. I highly recommend you ask him for help on your next audition.

Brad has been my daughter’s (age 13) improv teacher for a year. It has been such a great experience for her! Brad is patient, encouraging, and fun. His wit resonates so well with her and his example and prompting have not only helped her with improv, but also with how she responds and interacts with others in general. He communicates in a way that she understands and helps her to feel confident in expressing herself (no fear of repercussions or embarrassment) - easy-going and in a way that has helped her grow. Five plus plus stars!!

Sanford Meisner defines acting as "Living truthfully under imaginary circumstances." I believe his definition of acting ought to be the foundation for any aspiring actor. The most important quality in an actor is honesty.

I have a B.A. in theater and a M.F.A. in performing arts. I have been acting consistently for 10 years on screen and on stage in over 30 productions. I have taught a variety of ages. I believe no matter what background you or your character come from, everyone has a story to tell and I can help you tell yours.

About Jaron
With ten years of acting experience and four years of teaching experience I am confident that I have plenty to offer students of all ages. I have been lucky enough to prepare curriculum and teach an array of students from as young as toddlers to as old as college students. I have performed in 27 productions, several short films, and originated a character in a SCAD’s original television show called “Nailed It”. I guest taught “Intro to Acting” at the University of Alaska, taught “Improvisation” and “Auditioning” for Training Better Artists children’s Theatre Company, and tutored underprivileged students as a part of Americorp’s after-school program in Anchorage, Alaska.

I am capable of assisting students in honing and building their strengths. I am a firm believer in bringing truth to every role and staying true as an artist. I bel
ieve the craft of acting encourages new perspectives and discourages judgment towards others through looking at characters from all walks of life. These are the kinds of lessons I want to continue to instill in future artists.

About Victor
I have been extremely passionate about teaching Acting and Spanish for over 10 years (and have been an English as a Second Language student for 30!!) I am a native of Mexico City but made Chicago my home three years ago when I decided to continue my acting career in such a lovely city.

(Acting bio above)

Spanish: I started teaching Spanish while I was doing my degree at the University of Exeter in the UK. I helped some of my actor colleagues learn the basics of Spanish and when I moved back to Mexico I decided to professionalize my teaching and took an intensive course focused on teaching Spanish to beginners. During that course I fall in love with my native language and decided to take another intensive course this time focused on Advance Spanish. During that course I learned beautiful nuances and details about this amazing langu
age.
Since I have an artistic background, I try to create multidisciplinary classes so that my students can learn Spanish mainly through the arts and not through condensed and heavy books (though they are part of my teaching since I believe theory is of extreme importance in any field of study).

As a bilingual person, I've learned that language is the door to other cultures. Many times we are attracted to a language because we love a country that speaks it, songs we like to sing and dance to, tasty gastronomy, our parents, friends, among many more things. It is language who help us relate to others, understand their ways of thinking, their traditions, their jokes or their feelings.

This is why I strongly believe that finding the essence of why we want to learn a language is so important. It doesn't matter if you are a kid, a teenager or an adult, if you learn a language through the things you are personally interested and passionate about, learning will never feel like an obligation and will always feel like a fun game!
