Writing is about taking what is in your mind and creatively putting it on paper so that your audience can take a glimpse of what it’s like inside your brain. (Interesting huh?)

What makes writing lessons interesting with me is that I will teach you the tools necessary to become confident in your writing skills. I will use where you are currently to get to the next level of where you desire to be.

I believe that writing is a gift and everybody has the ability to write, you just have to learn how
to cultivate an atmosphere specific to you and tap into your gift.

You will be glad that you started this journey, it is both life changing and self gratifying.

If you think it CAN then you got that WRITE!

About Tecola

Who hated writing papers? Raise your if you cringe at the thought of “word count”. Writing can be intimidating if you don’t know how to tap into your style. I understand how writing can be considered as “boring” but that’s because you didn’t have me to teach you! Writing is more than just words

"Dr. Dianala is amazing at what she does! Recently, I was having a difficult time writing an essay for a scholarship that I wanted to apply for. I had no clue as to what direction I wanted to go in. Dr. Dianala, helped me to organize my thoughts and helped to produce an excellent scholarship essay that greatly exceeded my expectations. She is always willing to lend a helping hand and also serves as a mentor for me. You cannot go wrong by choosing her!"

"Of the different instructors I have collaborated with, Sarah is by far one of the instructors who has most consciously worked to make sure that her course design met the goals and learning outcomes of the curricula. From the first day I met her, she already had a syllabus design that met any suggestions I might make from my previous years' experience teaching courses in our program. I know she worked actively with others in the program in designing her materials, and she took all their comments to heart, building her syllabus around their recommendations for achieving learning outcomes.
In addition to creating assignments that clearly and usefully supported the goals of the program, Sarah incorporated the community contributions elements of the program, as well. She invited speakers from the campus community and the broader community. The students responded positively to all of these speakers, and they actively incorporated the ideas they learned from them in their work for the course.
The students' final presentations are the best indication of how successful Sarah's course was. The students were asked to use their academic research paper to create a policy paper or deliverable to a stakeholder of the students' choosing. The students created such fantastic presentations, that some of them could perhaps have been sent to the intended stakeholder--if we had the right contacts--with only minor revisions. The final presentations indicated that they achieved the learning outcomes of the course."

"Thanks to Sarah's help with my high school daughter's writing, my daughter achieved major milestones in her work as a creative writer. Sarah helped my daughter learn how to write in genres she never had before (poetry, short stories, and drama) and to have more confidence in her ability as a writer and a person. Also, whenever I wrote Sarah with questions about her sessions with my daughter, she always took time to write thoughtful responses that showed how much she cared about my daughter's growth."

What Great Writers Can Learn From Children's Books

Most experts agree: when you're learning how to write, reading as much as possible should be part of your daily life. And that means reading everything! Here, New Milford, NJ teacher Matthew H. explains what you can even learn from your favorite childhood books...   Children’s books are normally our first introduction to reading and writing. As kids, we listen to our parents, teachers, and other caregivers read aloud to us. Eventually, we read basic sentences on our own until we …
