Fantastic teacher. I learned so much more in a short time with Sandra than I learned with all the other voice trainers I have had through the years. Her method is rewarding.

Sandra was terrific ... it's been ages since I did any singing and she made me feel very comfortable reengaging. I'm really looking forward to working with her going forward.
Eric G.
Sandra is a very positive and enthusiastic teacher. She makes sure you are following proper technique and is thorough in telling you which steps to follow. I would recommend her to anyone who wants to try singing lessons or who wishes to improve their technique.

With over 20 years of acting experience on film, television, and theater. My credits include HBO’s Boardwalk Empire, The Sopranos, The Wolf of Wall Street, Tyler Perry’s The Haves and Have Nots, ABC’s Castle, and many more. My lessons are in-depth, whether studying acting technique, scene study, character breakdown, or getting ready for an audition. The audition process can be daunting, but I like to look at it as a way to ply our craft and learn. Casting directors respect preparedness, so make sure you are prepared before you go in on your next one. Let’s get started!

I subsequently moved to Los Angeles and quickly began building a body of work in film and TV, while continuing study at Playhouse West under Jeff Goldblum. This was my first time modeling in a show, and my overall experience was great. Tamika provided great feedback regarding walking, using modeling stance, posing, and how to have fun and interact with the audience. She chose awesome people to walk for her in the show, and we all got along really well. Tamika communicated professionally and respectfully to her models. She also provided all of the clothing for the show which was great because I did not have to come out of pocket to get additional clothing. I would suggest that she get an assistant to help her on the day of the show.

I loved working with Tamika always giving feedback and positive energy and pushing me to go further. The photoshoot was phenomenal i loved the locations and the scenery. I loved my wardrobe and had so much fun walking the runway. Tamika gives top notch coaching and i highly recommend her to anyone whether you’re just getting started or you want to sharpen your skills.

I pioneered a private Arts Academy drama school for 4 years, and am now teaching acting and directing at a middle and high school. My goal is to help students become well-rounded in all the areas that are needed to truly become a working actor. These areas include: auditioning, theater, film, and improvisation.

Being a repertory performer for Silver Star Playhouse (musical theater parodies), and having lots of experience and training in improv and interactive dinner theaters really trains you in comedy.
My husband also owns Sound waves Productions (technological advanced studio in Gilbert)- so completing remote voiceover work for a reel is not out of the question.

I also encourage students to pair in duos for effective scene work and more in-depth technique training (this will also split your lesson cost in half).

About Rebecca

My daughter raves about her lessons with Rebecca. She gets in the car and is always so excited to tell me what she did or learned, and when she practices I can see things click and improve. It’s so refreshing to see her passion and satisfaction in the learning process. Clearly she has a gift for teaching and inspiring teenagers, because I never see Anna work this hard. Thank you for all you do!

I am from Miami, FL and I have had a passion for acting since I participated in my first show at 10 years old in a local theatre camp. Ever since then, I studied musical theatre in middle and high school. I took rigorous classes in acting, ballet, jazz, improv, movement, scene study etc. while starring in multiple musicals and plays such as Our Town, Anything Goes, Sweet Charity, Hamletmachine, In The Heights, and more.

I had fallen in love with acting so much so that I returned to that local theatre, where my passion first sparked, to be a counselor this summer in hopes of encouraging the younger generation to dive in and explore the beautiful adventure of becoming an artist -of becoming an ACTOR!

Now that summer is coming to an end and Fall is approaching, I am humbled to share that I will be attending Carnegie Mellon University for a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Acting.

"My daughter took 10 acting sessions with Jennie - the first one was in person and the rest were over skype which worked perfectly! Jennie started each session with warm-up activities to 1) break the ice and 2) to learn how to deal with nervousness (breathing/relaxing techniques). Each session consisted of singing and practicing a monologue. Jennie suggested a book on monologues and my daughter chose one she liked. Each session they worked on expressing the emotion that was being expressed in the dialog. They broke down the feelings being portrayed and practiced different ways to express the emotions. Jennie was SO supportive of my daughter. Her lessons are going to be VERY helpful to my daughter when she goes to try out for the spring musical next year. We are planning to sign up for more lessons prior to auditions as a refresher! I highly recommend her."

"Alex was my Movement and Voice/Speech instructor in my graduate programme. I had done my undergrad in acting overseas and then moved to LA to complete my MFA in Acting. In my undergrad programme, I absolutely detested every Tuesday and Friday when we had Movement and Voice...but all that changed when Alex became my teacher for these subjects. Suddenly these were my favourite subjects. She made me actually look forward to going to class at 9am. I looked forward to what I was going to learn next from her.

She was so attentive to ALL her students, no matter your level. She always found time to work with you in whatever you were struggling with. She really truly cared about us. It was unlike anything I'd experienced with any other teacher I'd have ever. At one point, I was victim to some intimidation from another student in my class. Alex was the first person I confided in and she guided me through what I should do and how I should handle it, she was completely there for me, even allowing me to call her past 10pm to calm me down after one particularly bad encounter with said student.

Her lessons are prepared, structured and completely engaging. Somehow she is able to detect exactly what you personally need to work on and makes sure you are offered the most appropriate advice that best suits your personal needs. I can't even quite express how much I have learnt from her in the short four months that she was my teacher. She has exposed me to so many different techniques and exercises which, through her guidance, afforded me the opportunity to choose what worked for me.

If there is one thing that you cannot deny about Alex, she genuinely cares about her students, sometime to the detriment of her own life. She is an extraordinary teacher and an even more exceptional woman.

As cliche as this is, she inspires me to not only be a better actor, but to just be a better person."

"Julia was my college audition coach to get into acting school, and I am confident that she is the reason I got into the schools I did. I met with her on Skype once a week for about a year/year and half. She coached me on all of my monologues and even gave me acting coaching on songs. She helped me find almost all of my monologues, and was particularly helpful in coaching me on scansion and Shakespeare! Not only did she do all of this, but going through the college audition process herself and being trained at Juilliard, she prepared me for what to expect before I went in to my first audition. She is an absolutely wonderful teacher and would highly recommend her to anyone going through this experience. I am now a Sophomore Acting Major at Syracuse University which was ranked the number 8 acting school in the world this year. I also got into drama schools in Europe. Thank you Julia!! <3"

Audition Monologues for Kids, Teens, and Adults: Every Actor's Worst Nightmare!

Struggling to find that perfect audition monologue? It can take some time, so be prepared to be patient!
