About Mathew
I have been coaching chess for years. I have been passionately studying the game of chess for 13 years. I am currently a 1987 USCF player (Class A player). My highest rating was 2121 for chess.com blitz rating. But I am committed to go to 2200+ USCF player (National Master player). I have won several chess tournaments as well. I recently won the 2018 Philadelphia Open Chess Tournament.

I am currently coaching several students to go above and beyond their expectations. If you hire me as your coach, I will take you above and beyond your expectations in the game of chess. My coaching style is hands on, which means that I provide move by move feedback. My coaching philosophy is grounded in encouragement and meticulous game review. My one student that I have been coaching for 2 years went from never playing chess to a 1350 USCF chess rating
.

I graduated from Kutztown University of PA in 2013 with a B.S. in Biology: Molecular/Micro/Cell with two Minors in Mathematics and Biochemistry. I have such a passion for math, science, and chess. And I try to live with that passion everyday and show that passion to people everyday.

Matt as my first chess coach and has greatly increased my understanding of chess. My games are now competitive with players 400 to 600 rating points above me and I feel I am improving every week. Funny how much I can learn quickly after playing for forty years, with just a few lessons.

About Lori
I am a young, enthusiastic, yet traditional English teacher, My philosophy is - learning can take place anywhere, inside or outside of the classroom. I have actually experienced the most student success when my lessons involve: games, activities and an element of excitement.
My students recall the content I teach because I make it and relevant to their life experience. I have worked with children of all ages and backgrounds.

I have lessons to teach sentence structure, parts of speech, phonics, grammar and punctuation at the elementary level. I also teach basic and advanced composition, vocabulary development, etymology, and essay writing. High school and college level students may need assistance in thesis development, and literary forms, and historical periods which I offer as well.

I do have current - FBI clearance and child abuse
clearance- which a can upload/sent to you for verification. I last worked at the North Penn Valley Boys and girls club as a lead teacher. I graduated with a B.A. in English in 2008.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me.
Thank you for your consideration,
Miss Lori Chambers
