About Jason
I have 15 years experience teaching, and 19 years experience in music theory. While in high school, I played in Austria, Germany, Van-Couver, Canada, Reno, Nevada, and Carnegie Hall, New York. During that time, I competed in several competitions and won several awards. Since then, I've studied at 5 different colleges learning many skills from music production, to audio engineering.

My focus now is on revolutionizing music technology, and spreading knowledge to as many people as possible. I want to change the way we interact with music, by engineering new devices. I currently work as a pro-audio technician and product developer for a local company. My classes are hosted both at home and at work, so you can have access to everything I do. It's always nice to have a little variety.

Great experience with learning guitar for the first time!

It has been several months that I start learning guitar for the first time and Jason gave me confidence to start playing guitar. He is very professional and focus, he is a patient teacher which is very critical for being teacher for the first time guitar player student.
I am very enthusiasm to learn now because I am learning my favorite musics. I am always telling Jason that what I like to play and he breaks it to step by step learning experience. He is not only a patient teacher he is a talented one to find out how teach a complicated piece of music to an elementary student. I feel a luckies student in my favorite guitar class!

Linda is easily the most patient and welcoming person I've ever worked with. She has incredible knowledge over a vast array of topics and she is eager to share with others. This, in my opinion, is the most important quality of all teachers. Her lessons have proved a great way to build a solid base in my field of interest. as well as providing me with a well rounded and wonderful mentor that I'm sure to rely on for many other lessons in the future- banjo or otherwise!

My daughter 7yrs took lessons from Karen for 8 months. She was so patient and kind. My girl loved her and her teaching style.
I would have given 5 stars if she had got a real piano, not an electronic one.

To the extent of what I learned in my experience, Andrew is a great percussion teacher for students looking to join a band or marching band. He obviously had a great amount of knowledge and experience with the instrument itself but also the teaching of it. By the end of the first lesson we had already moved to patterns with 8 strikes on each hand and was presented with an arsenal of other exercises for afterwards to find a rate of improvement when given time. He is a very patient teacher and is sensitive to mistakes and which ones to focus on. I could safely recommend him to any of my friends who are also into percussion, and can speak from experience that any nervousness of getting a new teacher quickly dissolves after the first lesson. Great teacher.

About Annika
My first tutoring experience took place in first grade when I was asked to assist a newly arrived Vietnamese girl with her English. I myself had learned English when I first came to the United States at three years of age and could relate well to some of the issues the newcomer was facing.

A true global nomad, I have lived in Germany, the U.S., Mexico and Russia and have traveled extensively. Starting with English and German, and eventually Spanish, French and Russian, I have been instructing students since 1989 in various countries of a variety of ages in a multitude of informal and formal settings.

In 1990, I received my Bachelor of Arts in Russian Studies from George Mason University. In 1995, I completed my Masters Degree in Secondary Education/Teaching English as a Second Language. After one year of working in a public school
setting, I began teaching privately and on a freelance basis for a number of private companies and language schools, and the government.

After graduating high school at the top of my class, I got full funding for an economics degree at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor where I was born. I was very busy in college--my extracurriculars included 2 semesters abroad (Spain, Singapore), writing an honors thesis, being a consultant to the academic advising office, and being president of an honor society; besides this I worked my butt off in classes and graduated with a 3.7.

Besides academics, I am super interested in fitness, general wellness and psychology.

I would love to talk it out with you wherever our learning interests intersect!

I have been working with Mary Anne on my computer programming skills for the last three months, and I have had a wonderful experience with her thus far. She has helped me with programming in both Matlab and Python, and on a variety of different projects. She is very good at explaining how to use the software, but more importantly, she is very patient when actually troubleshooting my attempts at coding. I make a ton of mistakes while writing, but Mary Anne is always great about helping me correct them without making me feel bad for making so many silly mistakes. She cares a lot about getting her students to succeed, and she definitely has the talent to help even the most trouble-prone of coders. If you are in the market for a programming tutor, you have found the right girl!
