I lived in China for over 2 years. I studied Chinese in two different cities (Qingdao and Yiwu). I have many Chinese friends and learned much of the Mandarin that I know through immersion. I have also done a lot of traveling in China and have studied Chinese culture and music.
I use the book "New Practical Chinese Reader," Anki (flashcards), Pleco (dictionary), and HSK 1-4 vocabulary. I prefer to emphasize pronunciation and conversational speaking as they tend to have the biggest impact on day to day use.

I am also a chinese poet and song writer. Can teach from basic to advanced.

I majored in Mandarin Chinese at Rutgers University and also studied Chinese at Donghai University in Taiwan. I have excellent pronunciation, and can help you also master Mandarin pronunciation, as well as grammar, sentence structure, reading and writing, etc. Chinese is an amazing yet very difficult language.
