The 996 working hour system (Chinese: 996工作制) is a work schedule practiced by some companies in the People's Republic of China. It derives its name from its requirement that employees work from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm, 6 days per week; i.e. 72 hours per week. 

There has been a heated discussion on the 996 work schedule and many people believe that it has impacted their health. Some people think the overwork culture can bring more extra income, while more people argue that many companies do not provide any compensation or stipend to overworking employees, and that's NOT okay. The overwork schedule is not just against the labor laws in China, it also makes people sick or even ending in staying in hospital.

   - I started teaching Mandarin Chinese online since 2017. Before I became a full time Mandarin teacher (K-8) at a school in Arizona in 2019, I taught special forces Chinese part time. 
   - I have been teaching ESL students (mostly middle school and high school students) Reading and Writing (includes rhetorical devices) since 2009. 

For Mandarin Chinese class, I can help you with HSK, AAPPL and ACTFL tests. HSK is required if you are interested studying in China one day. AAPPL is a test for K-12 students, while ACTFL is a test that's required for any person who's interested working for military or national departments in the United States. For example, I took OPI Mandarin and I acquired Superior level before I could teach special forces Mandarin. 

For English related subjects (ESL, Reading, Writing), I can help you with academic school work and TOEFL test. From my education background, you will see I have met with the qualifications of being an English teacher! 

I got my B.A. in English Literature from a prestigious university in China (Henan University ranked TOP 5 in English subject the year before I attended). I acquired my teaching license in English subject after I graduated from college. In 2016, with multiple scholarships, I came to U.S.A. to pursue my further study in English. As the only nonnative English speaker, I got my M.F.A. in Creative Writing from University of New Hampshire. I got a full time teaching job in the states after I graduated.

I am a native Chinese speaker. I have been teaching languages (Chinese & English) since 2010. I have taught at a private school in the United States for a few years. Now I am teaching full time online. I am also certified to teach in public schools in China. I believe interaction and immersion are effective approaches to learn a new language. Learning a new language with a native speaker is ten times efficient than learning from language apps. Lessons are customized. Communicative language and Chinese culture would be prioritized while making lesson plans. To learn a new language, it's not simply about the language itself. The more you know about the culture, the better you appreciate the language. Students' "needs" and "wants" are prioritized in lesson planning process. It helps students achieve their goals while combined with students' "lacks" in lesson planning.
