I have taught over twenty English students from kindergarten through college graduates (research papers, policy analysis papers, etc.).

I build language arts skills in speaking, reading comprehension, listening and writing. I cover vocabulary, spelling, grammar, sentence structure, tenses, subject-verb agreement and punctuation, etc.

Let me show you how successful you or your child can be!

About Matthew
Dear Parents and Students,

May I be a personal tutor for you or your child? I have been successfully tutoring for over 12 years. I have great references, and I am one of the top tutors because I am
so easy to work with. I teach in person, or via TakeLessons classroom, telephone, Skype, FaceTime, Google Hangouts, Join.me, Appear.in, Screenhero (remote desktop, screen sharing) interactive whiteboards, as well as email attachments (PDF, Word, Excel, etc.) I graduated with honors, Summa Cum Laude from Case Western Reserve University, where I made the Dean's List. I also earned a Provost Academic Scholarship for my excellent test scores, including 34 in ACT mathematics and 780 in SAT mathematics.

In addition to teaching for Cleveland schools, I currently teach 20 private sessions each week, 1st through 12th grade, as well as college students and business professionals. I have also served on the faculty at Cuyahoga Community College.

I am patient, friendly and many students tell me that I explain concepts more effectively than their teachers. I am available weekdays or weekends, days or nights, throughout the entire year. I would be happy to answer any questions you might have regarding my experience and teaching methods. While it should go without saying, I have a clean background that has been verified by the FBI and BCII. Let me know if you would like to set up an introductory lesson to design a customized strategy. There is no obligation to continue unless a customer is 100% satisfied.

I am one of the Top Five Tutors for:
1. most diverse subject matter
2. widest student age range
3. farthest geographical regions
4. largest client base
5. most hours taught monthly

Please note: I have set up my billing in thirty minute increments. Thus, I am able to offer lessons of varying lengths. However, I would appreciate longer sessions. I thank you for your time and consideration and look forward to being at your service!

I have been teaching English for three years. I have a TEFL teaching certificate and over 200 hours of classroom experience. I have taught English in private and group settings. I can teach to children and adults.

About Christopher
Hello! Hola! Benvenuto! My name is Christopher S. and I am a classical guitarist, composer, polyglot, and experienced language and music teacher.

I am a recent graduate with a Masters of Music deg
ree from the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, MA. There I studied with the world-renowned guitarist Eliot Fisk who is a direct student of the legendary guitarist Andres Segovia.

Currently I work part time teaching 12 students guitar at the University of South Carolina, in Columbia. I also I teach ukulele, Spanish, Italian, and English to a variety of students online. At the same time I am pursuing a Doctoral degree from the university to strengthen my skills as a guitarist and expand my knowledge as a teacher for higher education. I have also just completed my debut album titled, "Anima - The Music of Spain and Italy for the Guitar."

This album is a tribute and memorial to an amazing journey I had traveling and living in Europe for 3 years.

After I graduated from my undergraduate degree, I realized that in order to better my skills as a musician and become the guitar teacher I wanted to be I had to travel abroad. I moved to Seville, Spain where for three years I studied the art of classical and flamenco guitar.

I studied with a international known Spanish guitarist named Francisco Bernier at the Conservatory in Seville. During this time I was also teaching English as a second language to high school and middle school students. From traveling and spending so much time in Europe, I also developed and studied my love of languages and I became fluent in Spanish and Italian.

The experienced was an experience of a lifetime and I made many friends working and living abroad that to this day, I still keep in contact with.

If you are interested in having lessons with me, please contact me and we can begin learning the art of making beautiful music or learning the beautiful languages of the Mediterranean! "Hasta pronto!" "A presto!" and "Speak to you soon!"

Philosophical Writing and Critical Thinking:

Philosophy, as an academic subject, exposes pupils to thinking , reading, and writing critically about certain types of texts.

About Will
I graduated from Cornell University in a dual Ph.D. program in Classics and Philosophy. I also graduated from the University of Chicago with an A.M. in Classical Languages. I graduated from Tulane Uni
versity with an A.B. in Greek, Latin, and Philosophy. I've studied at Columbia University, New York University, Syracuse University, C.W. Post, Loyola New Orleans, Farmingdale University, Tulane University, The University of Chicago, Cornell University, the Goethe Institut (in Germany), and others. Since I offer students lessons in Latin to help them develop their critical thinking skills, skills they need to graduate high school with what they can presumably use for life, I try to tutor to show how practical Latin is. With that said, I also assess with a view toward that end. The capacities that I seek to help my Latin language learners with include self-expression, reflection, dialectical conversation, debating and evaluating points, et al. Students learn the history surrounding the texts they read with me. They learn how to apply certain cultural or linguistic concepts to novel situations. I aim to help Latin clients become better at reading, writing, and speaking. Latin students, at least the ones that I try to work with, are adept at formulating questions, reading dense pieces of Latin and English prose and poetry, evaluating and debating philosophical and literary works, conveying their thoughts about philosophical topics,

I have tutored all sorts of people in multiple subjects including the ancient languages, mathematics, writing, and test preparation as well as all levels of mathematics - from arithmetic to differential equations.

Although my profile has recently been posted, I have tutored for nearly fifteen years.

I have 2.5 years of experience teaching English outside of the US.
I love helping students in order to help them reach a specific goal or increase their confidence; It's fun for me to spend time with others in general and especially when I am able to help them gain a better understanding of something that's hard for them to grasp. I know it can be hard to have lessons in addition to normal school/work hours and that's why it's important and fun for me to create engaging lessons with a relaxed atmosphere.

About Molly
I just returned to the US after 2.5 years of living abroad and teaching English to non-native speakers. I have experience tutoring ages 5-50 and a B.S. in Psychology which provides with a lot of knowl
edge on learning styles and methods.

I'm fascinated by language and the way people communicate and hence, absolutely love teaching English. I have learned foreign languages myself, so I know from experience what it requires and how rewarding it is.

I love tutoring others in order to help them reach a specific goal or increase their confidence; It's fun for me to spend time with others in general and especially when I am able to help them gain a better understanding of something that's hard for them to grasp or master. I know it can be hard to have lessons in addition to normal work/school hours and that's why it's important and fun for me to create engaging lessons with a relaxed atmosphere. I always make sure to allow the student to share what they'd like to focus on and listen to their thoughts or ideas about our lessons.

I had been taking conversation lessons with Molly in Israel for about 1.5 years till Molly left to US. I really enjoyed every lesson, the conversation wasn't just boring grammatics lessons but discussions about cultural differences, history, politics and many others. Before we started, I had been ashamed of my English and had preferred to avoid communicating, now the whole new english speaking world is open to me. Thanks a lot, Molly!
