Linda is easily the most patient and welcoming person I've ever worked with. She has incredible knowledge over a vast array of topics and she is eager to share with others. This, in my opinion, is the most important quality of all teachers. Her lessons have proved a great way to build a solid base in my field of interest. as well as providing me with a well rounded and wonderful mentor that I'm sure to rely on for many other lessons in the future- banjo or otherwise!

I am currently a math major and I have finished math classes all the way to transformation geometry (proof-based). Currently, I'm enrolled in number theory. I have gotten mostly A's and B's in my math classes. I am able to help out students of any age up to Multivariable Calculus 2. About Moataz
I am a Freelance Graphic Designer living in Stamford, Connecticut. I love learning and teaching, like a lot. I teach languages, Lettering, branding, and the basics of Graphic design as well as the adobe programs that bring it to life.

My promise to you is that I will teach you everything I know in the time I'm given and provide you with all sorts of outside resources to get you on your way to fluency and proficiency.

I'll make sure to do my absolute best to get you speaking a new language from day one, learning a Design program immediately, or teaching you how to letter with the rules they don't teach you in school. And best of all, I'll even show you how to actually make money with all of these.

I have a very unique journey into learning where I experienced many places and got a fresh and different understanding to the many su
bjects that I teach. For example my knowledge of multiple languages and travel to different countries gave me an added knowledge of linguistics that I experienced first hand and confirmed in books, so now I know how languages work, and can relate a concept from one language to another even if the languages seem completely different.

My Design work has been very general so I've done a lot of different things before I specialized in hand lettering, so I've done it all from advertisements on billboards to website design and development, to copywriting, to branding from start to finish for companies big and small.

My love for lettering and Calligraphy emerged when I started getting more Logos for client work and my exploration of type wasn't the best answer most of the time so I would letter everything myself, and the rest is history.

I am really passionate about learning and even more passionate about sharing what I've learned. I am efficient, I know what works for different people since I taught in classrooms and tutored way before I knew about Takelessons, and I'm most proud of being praised as a very genuine person. A very common compliment I get is that I sincerely want my students to do well. And it makes me really happy every time someone says it, and I hope that one day you see that and tell me the same thing.

Feel free to find out more about me and ask me anything you want, and I really look forward to one day teach you something that will get you to achieve your goals! :)

Just so there are no surprises, I raise my prices very slightly every 3 months, next time it will go up is on March 3rd 2017. The reason for this is because I get better and more efficient at teaching as time goes by, so that hour that you get now is much more packed with value than the same hour last year or last month.

Moataz immediately jumped into our lesson by asking me about my goals and from there to course content, which I loved. He tailored his lesson to my interests and offered so many amazing resources (beyond himself) to help me. I think I will continue to reap the benefits of this lesson for weeks to come. He seemed invested in helping me take real steps forward & didn't spend a single minute of class time pushing his products or future lessons. Not needed, because I will definitely be back.

About Paul
I am a professional tutor who has successfully taught over 2,000 students for the past 19 years in a range of subjects including the SAT, ACT, English, math, college application essays, and writing contests. I graduated Yale, and I have won numerous essay contests.

I have helped thousands of students achieve their academic goals. I have increased old SAT scores 300-500 points, new SAT scores 150-300 points, and composite ACT scores 3-6 points. I have raised math and English grades from C’s to B’s and B's to A's. Under my guidance, students have written college application essays that contributed to their acceptances into Yale, UPenn, Cornell, West Point, and dozens of other prestigious universities. For a select few well-read students, I have coached them to win a variety of writing contests including the prestigious Scholastic Art &
Writing Awards.

Through classes or private lessons, I connect with students, motivate them to dream bigger and work harder, pinpoint areas of improvement, utilize proven methods, and above all, get results.

I live in northern New Jersey. My better half is Jeanette, and I have three beautiful children.

I went to Peak for about a year, from 8th grade to 9th grade and Paul was the best tutor I ever had. Not only did he teach us how to write well, but also gave us many of his life inspiring quotes that really motivated us students to always work hard. He gave a lot of advice that still helps me today in both writing and life. Going to Peak helped me to enjoy studying a lot more than I did and definitely improved my grade overall.

I have been working with Paul for a little over a year now and with his help, I have accomplished more than I ever imagined. He not only helped me with difficult math classes such as AP Calculus AB and standardized tests like the SAT but also helped me to become a better student overall. Paul also helped me with college applications and decisions which I really found helpful in deciding where I should apply. Paul is an amazing tutor not only for how much he is versatile between different subjects, whether it be AP Calculus to SAT to college essays, but also to how much he cares about your health and wellbeing. With my time working with him, Paul is someone who I can rely on for good advice and look up to.

About Anna
I like to smile. I like to sing. I like to snack. I like to snorkel.
However, I am passionate and professional about teaching. From an early age, I wanted to inspire others to do their best. Thus I have coached, I have tutored, I have counselled, I have taught. And I love every second that I spend alongside a student.

Teaching allows me to be both creative and organized, to simultaneously work hard and have fun. Yet what I find best about teaching, is that offers me venues to learn from my students.

I have taught all ages (3-80); I have taught in 4 different languages; I have taught on ski slopes, in barnyards, on sailboats, in classrooms, and on playgrounds. And these diverse hands-on experiences, paired with a degree in teaching from Bowdoin College and a Fulbright Fellowship, have prepared me for meeting you, for teaching you,
for learning with you.

I am around until Fall 2018, as at this time, I will begin my PhD candidacy in Second Language Acquisition and Pedagogy.

Anna works as the Program Director and Head Instructor. She does an excellent job organizing and implementing day to day activities and lessons for our youth camp. The students and parents adore her and always insist that her teaching has a great balance between learning and having fun. Beyond this, she is also successful when teaching and instructing local community members in sailing. The board highly recommends Anna. She can do it all.
