Despite what TakeLessons says about my location, I can come to you even if you don't live on the East side.
I have an associates degree in music and I have been teaching lessons for 10 years now. I also have experience as a substitute teacher. As a substitute, I have taught all grades, all subjects, and I have helped out many kinds of students each with their own way of learning.
Besides teaching, I love learning too. Anytime I have a question I immediately start seeking out the answer. Learning never stops!
*** Lesson Details *** Ever wondered how musicians write music? Why do they make the choices they make? Why do those choices work? Why does music work the way that it does? I can answer all these questions and much more.
With me as your guide, I will unlock your musical superpowers and make you capable of things you didn't know were possible. I have many different methods for teaching not only technique, but how to listen, and ho
w to think creatively so that you can unlock your full potential.
*** Travel Equipment *** I can provide my guitar, picks, and tuner and that's really all you will need as well.
I'll occasionally bring my laptop with me to use some music software to assist in my lessons.
I'll always have pens and paper so I can make notes or diagrams if needed. I highly recommend that my students have a spiral notebook so I can more easily cater to them.
*** Specialties *** I specialize in many musical genres including rock, ska, punk, progressive, jazz, folk, and more. Music theory is a big part of what I do as it's the universal language of music. If you learn enough theory, you can learn ANY instrument.
John is incredibly smart about theory and understanding the guitar having worked out his own individual way of learning that he is happy to share his trade secrets.

My son was new guitar player, he has now had several lessons with John. We have seen his skills grown exponentially. John really connects with him and keeps him engaged. He has taught him soo much in such a short span of time. John is a fantastic teacher!

Miss Anna is a right teacher for me. She helped me a lot to expand vocabulary
and improve my conversation skills.
July 22, 2019
Anna was helping my 11 year old improve his verbal skills while we were on vacation for 5 weeks in NYC. Instead of sitting in a class room the lessons were spent at different places in the city and Anna prepared interesting themes for every lesson that let my son both practice speaking a lot as well as hear many interesting stories of NYC. In addition to being a great teacher Anna is also an excellent guide.

I enjoyed my first lesson with Anna. She is a very good teacher. She understood my goals and structured the class in the right format. I look forward to having fluent conversations in Russian by the end of these sessions.
I am a Certified Interpreter in five languages with the US Defense Language Institute Monterrey, California.
English is my third language but I didn’t stop here. I taught my mother and so many others tips on how to learn this language faster in a correct way, with love for proper command in vocabulary and grammar.
If you speak a Romantic language, even better; I’ll find “anchors” to help you connect the dots and allow you to find English words faster.
If your native language is not among the Romantic ones, don’t despair (though my assumption is that you stopped reading by now). Mentors are critical, and I’ll teach you ways to find balance, consistency, and discipline in learning English as a First or Second Language.
Before reading about me, I'd like to share up front the honor that my newest student, R., has brought to me by choosing to learn Romanian. Nothing special so far except that he is 100 years old!!!! Yes, you read that correctly: a century old. He is the outmost inspiring person in my life by teaching me that age is just a number and that learning can happen any day if we choose so. R is a medical doctor, a psychologist, a chemist and biologist. Words can't even define how great of a man he is and how grateful I am to learn from him, too. For instance, about a famous language called "esperanto", a language created in the late 19th century.
I'm an enthusiastic learner even after 19 years of formal education (two Masters, one Bachelor) earned on two continents continued by US military education in various forms, and formally tested studen
t who needed to document skills that were not formally captured on paper (like the foreign languages I know).
I love interacting with people and pass on my knowledge from five visited continents, instill love for learning and continuous curiosity for any subject out there. Nothing is impossible when you set your mind to it. Failing once doesn't mean that you'll never win (proof in my athletic years and life ever since); determination, hard work, self-motivation and a good supporting system can bring to reality even the most insignificant dreams that we believe may not come true, and especially those in which we passionately trust.
I believe in breaking down a goal into objectives, assigning tasks to each one of them, and then sticking to achieve them.
I'm a Certified Instructor with the Department of Homeland Security. My hobbies include practicing foreign languages (and proper grammar rules which highly reflect on one's education) by speaking them, learning about cultures and slangs, etymology, watching foreign movies, traveling internationally, taking photos, reading (a lot), carefully planning with room for error and impulsive decisions (to take the boredom out of things), meeting with life long friends, drawing, painting, and spending time outdoors for inspiration and health.
I'm elated at the opportunity of brainstorming with you and giving you tools to be an independent learner.
Proven and interesting lesson plan, simple and effective presentations. Games, colorful ESL materials that engages student. Fun learning and stimulating online presence that strength a child confident. Use of videos for visual leaning and comprehension, the day's activities to recap lesson. Q&A
Hello, my name is Anezi. I was born into a family of educators who instilled in me a love of learning. I earned my Computer Science Degree from Heald College CA and working on Business Degree at Drexel University in Philadelphia, USA.
I always loved working with students to succeed in their English language; I am thrilled to help you learn online at the pace that is most comfortable to your learning styles. I love helping students gain independence with their work, and I take joy watching the bricks of their strong grammar foundation take form. The process is exciting because English is fun and interesting.
For 25+ years I've worked with kids from elementary to high school in grammar, writing, and reading. I've had experience in writing and editing and turning kids from non-writers into writers. We'll learn a lot and have fun doing it!
Hi, everyone! Do you want your student to improve in math? Does your student need someone to help with developing writing or grammar or reading skills? Would you like your student to be able to throw a football 75 yards in the air?
If you answered "Yes" to any of those questions, I can help! (Except for the one about the football; maybe your student should try pumping iron or something.)
I've worked with kids in math and English for many years, including my own (my wife and I have four graduates), and I enjoy making subjects fun and interesting with students, while we get the job done.
Some valuable learning, a pat on the back, and a shot of confidence: that's what I offer to families. Thanks for checking me out!

"I've had many English teachers but I must say Christelle is the most patient, relaxed, good tempered, helpful, encouraging, respectful, and kind teacher
there is. Christelle creates a comfortable and warm environment where you are able to learn at your pace. Christelle also had to learn the English language and it's comforting knowing that Christelle also struggled. Christelle has taught me great skills I will continue to utilize in my everyday life."
"Lars is very patient and he goes into details explaining all my doubts. He also knows Spanish very well."

ed States from Japan and I feel out of place here and still I don't know many people. But with her she always made me feel welcome and she speaks Japanese but never let me speak it so I can practice! She is a really good teacher and always their if you have question!"
