About Matthew
Hi.. My name is Matt. I'm a very energetic, friendly, understanding & passionate music coach who has worked with students & clientele throughout the US. Possessing more than 25 years of music training & music industry experience, I've been able to take people's Playing to amazing levels.

In my musical travels I've networked or shared the stage with many famous NW music legends:
1.) Roger Fisher- Heart-2013 Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame Inductee
2.) Lynn Sorensen- Paul Rogers/Bad Co/KZOK's Spike & Impalers
3.) Donny Evola - Geoff Tate/Former Queensryche/Foghat
4.) Jeff Kathan- Paul Rogers/Bad Company/Montrose
5.) Doug Mcgrew- Geoff Tate/Former Queensryche Singer/Operation Mindcrime
6.) Update - For the last year I have been playing off and on with Rudy Parris from NBC TV's "The Voice". Season 3 - Team Blake. He is an incredible music
ian and I'm proud to call him and his manager my friends. His new album coming out is nothing short of amazing.

In fact everyone I've mentioned above are pro all the way and great guys as well. I"m honored to have played with them.

I challenge my students to view music more than just as a "skill", but also a tool to communicate effectively and to combat life's obstacles.

I have had many guitar teachers myself including one true Famous Rock Star legend here in Pacific NW. Congrats Rog. U Earned It, & inspire myself, & others everyday.

You got to know the rules 1st, before you can then break the rules. This is how you develop your own unique style. And it's what separates the Pro Players from the rest of the pack.

But even if you don't want to play professionally, maybe you just want to learn a few chords, licks, songs, for yourself, or to impress friends. That's okay too!

I welcome every level and style. I always learn something from my students.
That's what music is all about. Learning & trading tips and licks from other musicians.

Bottom Line Is... I can help you learn and progress on your instrument faster...

Let me be the Music Coach to get you there!

Hey! First off, shout out to you. You have made the extra effort to search for additional help on your studies, what an important step in moving forward with your goals and ambitions.

About me: I grew up in Denver, Colorado, later moved to Eugene, Oregon where I attended the University of Oregon and studied Human Physiology. After school I was lucky enough to join Teach for America where I taught middle school and high school Science in two of Chicago's most challenging schools. It was here that I fell in love with teaching. I find that being there for someone to discover their own hidden skills is deeply rewarding.

This year I was accepted to Medical School back home in Denver! I am thrilled to be able to move from the classroom to the hospital, but I will miss teaching very much. I look forward to meeting you and telling you more ab
out my life journey, the ups and downs, and the lessons that I have learned about the medical field and working in low-income communities.

He is the best science teacher because you get to do hands on projects and he explains the work in his own way so that you can get a better understanding.

Mr. Nathanson was my teacher for two school years and I've learned so much from him. When we did science projects he always made them fun and interesting. Without him I wouldn't have known all of the things that I know today and for that I'm thankful. I promise that whoever he teaches next will have a good experience.

I am a teacher and I have taught students from the age of 3-12. I don't like to just sit and have a child's head in a book the whole time. I like to make things fun. I incorporate your interests in the lesson, we play games, us technology and at times will have to use a book here and there. Learning needs to be fun and engaging, children need to be interested in what they are learning to get the full benefits of a lesson!

About Sarina
I have a passion for science, critical thinking, and teaching, and earned my B.A. in Biochemistry and Policy Studies from Grinnell College in 2016. I grew up homeschooling until high school age, and I believe being self-directed and self-taught much of the time, is what allowed me to truly love learning for the sake of learning. I often struggled in the confines of how science was taught in the public school system, and frequently found myself wishing I had better teachers who seemed more excited and invested in the topic than some of mine did. After attending college and getting to take sciences classes with some of the most amazing professors I ever had, I became extremely motivated to tutor and mentor fellow students as well as high school students, and share concepts and ideas that I had learned about and thought were extremely inters
ting. I saw clearly the difference that having a good teacher who was truly motiviated and invested in what they were teaching could make in the learning outcomes of students.

In addition to science, I also love music and traveling. I studied piano for about 12 years and taught a few beginning piano lessons several years ago. During college I studied abroad in South Africa for a semester, and while I was there I also worked with a small local tutoring company, helping grade school and middle school age children prepare for their science and math exams.

I enjoy working with students of all ages and levels, however I feel like high school and college level chemistry and biology is what I have the greatest base of knowledge and experience in. I especially love AP chemistry and college level general chemistry.

If you take lessons or get tutoring from me, I will teach in a very straight forward, big picture oriented, clear, and easy to understand way. I look foward to working with you!

About Ginamarie
I have multiple years experience in Middle, High School and Adult education. I enjoy reading and writing which makes me a perfect fit for homework help and a personal tutor. I have worked with struggling students, adults with disabilities and taught HS Advanced Placement, IB English, and most recently AICE classes. Tutoring for SAT is enjoyable for me, and my success rate with students in high-need areas sets me apart from your average tutor. I have incorporated time choices, around sports practices, and even made weekend hours available. I would prefer to meet at local libraries, close to bus routes, and would even consider in-home tutoring for accepted families. Finally, on-line tutoring and editing makes it convenient for parents and students who struggle with transportation or medical obstacles.

I am a teacher, tutor, artist. and father.

As a teacher, I began in graduate school and have gone on to teach at all levels from elementary school through doctoral levels. I currently teach social science statistics and associated data analysis software packages at the undergraduate level at a local, private, liberal arts college.

As a tutor, I have worked with students of all ages from 7 years old to 50. I am able to engage each student at their own level and appeal to interests that will assist them in grasping the knowledge that will allow them to excel in both their academic and personal lives.

As an artist, I have been in several local bands, worked as a sound designer in college where I was a member of the theater honors society (Theta ALpha Phi), and have dj'ed public and private venues from underground raves (in the early 199
0's) to clubs and other events.

Most importantly, as I father I have a daughter whom I adore and am fortunate enough to experience her growth into a young adult. She is the most important person in my life. We have enjoyed typical father / daughter life events as well as difficult times. Through it all, we have both grown and become better people as a result.

I look forward to working with you to help in whatever ways I may to allow you to achieve your goals!
