Within the first few lessons, you'll start speaking simple sentences and as time goes on, you'll be able to conjugate like a pro! Chinese language learning materials as part of an integrated curriculum designed to motivate students in non-native Chinese environments to start speaking Chinese.
I am a highly organized, outcome-driven and motivated professional musician and educator with solid experience in the classroom. For the past 25 years, I have been employed with Amati music academy and seven years on the faculty of University of St Francis. I am very comfortable with all aspects of the current music syllabus, including teaching musical concepts (such as duration, pitch, dynamics, tone color, texture and structure) as well as performance, composition. I am fully qualified, with a Bachelor of Education in Music, Double Masters in music performance and education from University of Nottingham. I am proficient in classical, jazz and Celtic fiddle violin and possess solid skills in piano (grade 8-13) Royal conservatory system. Throughout my teaching career, I have been driven to help students achieve their very best. I str
ongly believe that music has the power to change lives – to enhance the social, cultural and spiritual lives of people, and serve as a profound medium of personal expression. Professional perform experience: The Chicago, Natalie Cole, Smokey Robinson, Three tours with Moody Blues, YoYo Ma etc.... The most important thing I look for in a student is communication skills, as well as talent. I like to nurture students and help identify their individual strengths, which is a key factor in shaping a musical persona that will make its mark both on and offstage. I do not advocate a uniform technique for all students. Physical differences and learning styles are always taken into consideration. Potential is as important to me as early achievements and experience. My goal is to help students become self-sufficient, discriminating artists. I discuss practice techniques often and develop individualized scale routines. I encourage initiative and expressive musicality as well as precision. Above all, music needs to bring obvious joy to the student, regardless of the difficulties.”

I am a native Chinese speaker with a BA in English and MBA in Global Management from Thunderbird. I worked as an English to Chinese translator for 2 years in the Ministry of Commerce in Beijing, and volunteered as an interpreter for the City of Austin. During graduate school, I was a Chinese tutor/language partner for a few of my classmates, all of whom made big progress in their fluency and pronunciation.
Teaching has always been my passion. I have been teaching Mandarin for 10 years at various Language Institutes, and taught at private schools in Michigan for total of 5 years. With corporate client experience, I also have been working as a Mandarin instructor in a language company. There are many adult students with different levels who are currently learning Chinese from me. My success stems from enthusiasm, self-motivation, patient, creativity and the ability to communicate with students from diverse backgrounds. It is my goal to combine my range of experience with my ability to make the learning easy and fun.
Nihao. I’m a native-born Chinese who has vast experience of teaching Mandarin to English speakers across all levels and ages. I have been teaching Mandarin for more than 10 years at various Language Institutes, and have taught at private schools for total of 5 years. At schools, I developed and implemented CFL curriculum for introductory and advanced level of students. I am currently working as a Chinese instructor at a large international language company. In my class, materials will be designed according to the students' background and needs. I feel fulfilled after spending numerous hours preparing for each and every creative teaching session and then see my students excited and benefited. I come across as a very pleasant and friendly teacher, who has a great passion for teaching my native language.
I've had a great experience so far. Yiju is patient, enthusiastic, and fun. Her lessons are easy to get into and the time flies by really fast. She's very engaging on cultural topics, illustrates a variety of ways to say something, and is generally very organized and punctual. She has been very accommodating to my requests and helping me learn in a way that works for me. Since I had my own study materials before I started lessons with her, she has worked with me to practice the material I studied already. I would definitely recommend her.

Wonderful instructor. We look forward to continuing lessons later this year. She was very professional and made my 15 year old daughter comfortable with learning Chinese. She tailored the lessons to fit her aptitude. I would highly recommend her. She also met us at the local community center which was very helpful logistically.
Grew up in China and graduated from one of the best universities in China. Learning Mandarin is more about learning Chinese culture than the words. Chinese is a very logical language and you will have a lot of fun learning with me.
Before I came to New York, I taught English at a local training center in Shanghai,China.
I started teaching Mandarin to a few Canadians and Americans when I was in university more than 10 years ago. And we still keep in touch now. Learning language is more about learning the culture. I am fascinated by the differences and similarities between Chinese culture and American Culture. And discovering those differences or similarities will create a big curiosity which will be very beneficial and effective when you learn the language.
In fact, many people don't know or never notice that Chinese is a very logical language and full of Chinese traditional wisdom. Even you don't agree China is becoming more and and more influential in the world, learning some Chinese culture and oriental philosophy will be an interesting journey.
I can help with your Chinese homework and I can also teach Chinese grammar, alphabet, and pronunciation. I have an exclusive vast amount of Chinese learning materials to help you study. I was born in the southern part of China. I am a native Chinese speaker and I am fluent in both Mandarin and Cantonese. My bachelor degree was Applied translation studies so I am good at translating Chinese to English as well as English to Chinese. I had been a tutor in China since 2015. I got my master’s degree in TESOL from the State University of New York at Fredonia. I can help with your Chinese homework and I can also teach Chinese grammar, alphabet, and pronunciation.
I was born in China and finished my ninth grade there. The school is quite prestigious in terms of academic level. I then finished high school in the United States and earned my Bachelor Degree in Chemistry and Violin Performance at Oberlin College and Conservatory in Ohio. My fluency in both languages will make learning Mandarin much easier and more fun.

For my potential student who would like to learn Chinese, my fluency in both languages will be able to help you learn the language with fun and ease. Learning Chinese is not just learning a language, one will be able to feel the Chinese culture and the beauty of this language.
Jerry X. is so passionate on teaching, love to help students on problem-solving, and continuously progressing as a teacher on teaching methods.
Many good and gifted players are not necessarily the best teacher, but Mr. Xiong is really someone who can teach you HOW to practice and to love your music!
Perfect for beginners or anyone wants to pursue better musicality! I love my violin now.

"This is the first time for us to use online tutoring and we booked a session on Friday for our daughter to speak to Guifang on the Sunday. It was really e
asy to communicate with Guifang to confirm the session and send her details of what needed to be covered during the session so she could prepare beforehand. Guifang is really knowledgeable, patient, easy to converse with, clear in her explanations and really helpful. Our daughter said Guifang was better than her teachers. So that's really high praise. We highly recommend Guifang as a Mandarin tutor and we love this online tutoring."
"Lipeng is an amazing pianist and violinist artist herself, however she is an even more splendid teacher. She is so patient and encouraging with a adult st
udent(I). Her technique and attention to music detail is amazing. She encourages relaxed recitals for students to gain confidence in a larger setting without pressure. my friends were impressed with my development and progress all along the classes because I had a great teacher! Would highly recommend!!!!"
"She is really a nice teacher open to discuss talk and explain things the way needed. I recommend her for future students."
"Monique was so kind and made me feel so comfortable. I am excited to keep learning. I could not have found a better teacher"
"Great lesson, as always!"
"I was taking Chinese at university level, but my professor was very fast paced and I didn't get much practice speaking. That's why I loved taking lessons
with Zhenni! She's very thorough - correcting my grammar, tones or pronunciation whenever I make a mistake so that I don't develop bad habits. She also supplied a lot of additional insight into how modern people speak Chinese, so that I would sound more authentic and not just repeat lines I learned from a text book. Zhenni is also very personable and easy to talk to, which I found really helped me not be so self conscious when she would ask me to have a conversation in Chinese."
