My name is Zhao Y! I specialize in tutoring Mandarin Chinese, Russian and ESL. I have four years of experience with one-on-one teaching as well as teaching in a classroom setting. I have taught Mandarin Chinese and English to students from 1st to 11th grade at a Chinese Language Specialty School in Moscow and to second year university students.
At my lessons, I have creativity and do my best to build an exciting and interesting learning experience. In practice I utilize interactive teaching methods and activities to motivate students to learn and communicate in a foreign language. I often use visual aids, such as software tools or videos and make students feel that learning a foreign language is fun and interesting.
I believe culture is a crucial concept in language teaching, in a certain sense language learning is culture learning. So my lessons always include a basic cultural section where I introduce culture and customs to the students.
I am happy that my passion for learning foreign languages became my profession. Teaching foreign languages for me is a Never-Ending Professional Development Journey. It’s a profession that allows me to be creative, work with a variety of different people, travel all over the world and inspire students not only academically but personally as well.
