my name's Jason and I love Spanish and Latin America.

I'm currently a doctoral student. I majored in Spanish at University of California, Davis, lived in Mexico for 3 years where I completed a Master's degree in Counseling, studied Spanish Literature and Psychology at the University of Costa Rica for 7 months and have traveled around a few other Latin American Countries.

My goal is to tailor the lessons to what best helps you learn. I can do conversation classes and academic ones too. I have a lot of material and activities to facilitate fun l
earning. My command of the language is almost native. I prefer to work with those who really want to learn, just so we both use our time wisely. I work best with those who already have a base in Spanish but want to prefect their knowledge of proverbs, sayings, jokes, cultural aspects of Spanish, grammar, vocabulary, conjugation, listening and overall language skills. That said, I can work with anyone at any level of Spanish, and have experiences with students from ages 5 to 67.

Jason inspired me to have a break-through with my Spanish. As a nurse with many Hispanic patients, after only 3 classes with Jason, I successfully triage'd a patient using almost all Spanish. I was pretty stoked about the whole thing. It was a really good confidence boost to not only use it and be understood by the lady, but I understood her too. Not every little word, mind you, but I was able to pick out a lot of the context and figure out what was going on. Working with Jason makes me feel like I'm opening up a whole new avenue in my practice, even after 15 years of repetition. I have Jason to thank for this and it's just boosted me towards learning more.

Dr. Bryan Pollock, countertenor, completed his Doctorate of Musical Arts (Voice Performance) at Boston University where he taught private voice and class voice for three years in addition to holding his own voice studio. In 2013 he graduated magna cum laude from the University of California, Irvine with his Masters in Fine Arts, vocal performance. In 2010 he received his Bachelors in Music from East Carolina University in vocal performance. He received vocal instruction from Dr. Lynn Eustis, Dr. Darryl Taylor, Dr. Louise Toppin, and John Kramar. His piano instructors were Dr. Keiko Sekino
and Rebecca Miller. He has performed in over twenty fully-staged operatic productions and five fully-staged musical theatre productions.

Dr. Pollock has travelled extensively during his career throughout the U.S. as well as England, Austria, Italy, Turkey, Canada, and the Czech Republic. ESL/ELL STUDENTS

The Pedagogical Foundations Of EnglishCentral

I am compelled to write a raving review about Haley Shea. I am 55 years old and started working with her one-year ago to nail down punctuation and grammar in order to write a blog about nutrition and resistance exercise. Haley is patient and has a pleasant demeanor that strongly motivated me to want to learn the material. Currently, I look forward to each and every lesson.

Around December of last year, I discovered that my heart was not into blog writing. I sent Haley an email and explained my feelings and that I was actually passionate about screenwriting. She wrote back and I discovered this was right (or write) up her alley. Truth be told, as a nine year-old I used to write and direct 8 mm movies with my neighborhood friends as actors and dreamed one day of becoming a writer, producer and director. But like all other dreams this one was derailed.

Haley had me write a couple scene samples. She sent them back to me and was quite pleased with my neophyte attempt. I told her about a sci-fi television project that I wast interested in and after many months of her encouragement and my persistence I finished the first draft.

After some revisions, I watched her perform a table read by Skype utilizing the skills of her improvisation students. I loved watching their reaction as they each read their part. It is very gratifying watching some one become the character you created. It was intended to be funny and campy. There were times the actors seemed to have trouble containing their laughter. Overall their reaction was positive.

At this juncture, Haley is helping me with query letters and obtaining input from other professionals in her inner circle. She is also seeking input from other writers.

The most important thing is I enjoy screenwriting no matter what happens. Haley has helped me love what I'm doing and it is not chore but sweet ride.
