SAT test prep, when done right, can be very rewarding. I helped my last student raise her composite SAT score by over 100 points after just 8 lessons!
Given my background and experience in tutoring algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and precalculus, I have helped countless high school students with test prep for the SAT math sections. SAT math requires a different way of looking at math problems and applying concept skills to solve them. Students work with me on practice sets and practice tests so they can learn how to dissect problems in a quick, practical way and find the right answers. Their time management and test taking skills improve through regular test prep as they master how to navigate both the calculator and no-calculator sections.
During all the years I’ve tutored students for the SAT Reading section, I show them exactly how to break down the material in each passage into plain English, interpret the questions as simple directions, and use the best strategies to find ...

I view algebra like a game: there are simple rules that govern what you can do, and if you know and understand the rules, the game is a whole lot easier. If algebra seems to be a struggle for a student, I can help them identify the basic concepts (i.e. rules) on which they need to strengthen their understanding. Algebra is an essential tool I use to solve a myriad of problems every day as an engineer, and so I am intimately familiar with its many different topics, and perhaps because I understand its value, I genuinely enjoy teaching algebra to others.
I remember what it was like to personally struggle with algebra, and I know the most common pitfalls which make it seem more difficult than it actually is. Because of this experience, I am quite adept on picking up on my students' weak points, and helping them clear up fuzzy understandings of the rules of algebra. I started teaching algebra six years ago when I first started teaching it to myself. Since that time, algebra has been

Book NowInterested in improving in math? Want to ace your future classes? I will assist in building up the fundamental of math skills. During my senior year at high school, I used to tutor students ranging from elementary school to high school mathematics at a Mathnasium facility. I have also worked with students that range from visual learners to hands-on students to those who need repetitive practice of the same concept or even more time with the material. This experience allowed me to understand different students and approach their unique ways of learning. I believe it is more rewarding for the student if I spend more time than given in a class period to address one topic if there are potential concerns or misunderstanding of certain topics.

Heading into my junior year, I am currently an undergraduate student at Rutgers University pursuing a major in Biomedical Engineering and a minor in Mathematics.
