I am a certified instructor of the Royal Academy of Dance in London, England. I have been a ballet instructor for over 20 years and I am the Artistic Director of the Shreveport Metropolitan Ballet.

Bringing challenges and mentorship to all ages to grow and reach their goals as a dancer. Students should expect to be pushed to their best abilities and encouraged to experiment to find their niche. Students will be able to learn how to pick up choreography fast, how to imitate the choreographer perfectly, how to add their own sense of flair, how to fix bad habits, how to start healthy habits, etc. Students will be given tips and tricks as a dancer, performer, and influencer. This is a generation of creators which requires substantial knowledge on navigating social media and using your talents as content.

Interested in dance lessons? Carolyn began working professionally at 8 years old and has since appeared on stage, in national commercials, recorded voiceovers, and booked principal roles in both film and television. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2011 from the Boston Conservatory, where she majored in musical theater with an emphasis in directing. With years of extensive dance training, she's had the opportunity to perform the original Broadway choreography in several major productions she has been a part of, her favorite being the tap spectacular "42nd Street." As an award winning choreographer, her pieces have been recognized nationally at dance competitions across the country.

My teaching is around dancing and musicality rather than particular dance styles although I can cater to the needs of the customer.

I have a broad experience on varied dances. I have trained in Los Angeles and San Francisco and I have attended numerous festivals. I have always focused on free style dancing and connecting with the music. Later on, I trained for salsa, bachata, hip hop and heels.

I am a classically trained dancer with 20 years experience in performance. I have always been passionate about historic costumes and was introduced to historic dance while getting my degree from Ga. State University. I am currently the director of the Atlanta Historic Dance Company. I've performed, taught and choreographed for performances on stage, at historic events and in the film industry for the last 10 years.
Historic Dance can run the gamut between beginning level dances up to professional level performance. I can tailor your lesson to fit your needs. The most popular lesson at the moment is the 1920's Charleston. I can also offer lessons in popular social dances from the Renaissance up through the 1960's.

KatieRose is a professional dance teacher and coach as well as the Associate Choreographer for the Tony award-winning Broadway musical HADESTOWN. KatieRose has been teaching for over 15 years and specializes in working with students from the most beginner to the most advanced. KatieRose made her professional debut at age 16 as a ballet dancer before switching to modern dance and then finding musical theater. She loves teaching musical theater, ballet, jazz, contemporary, lyrical and modern classes. She also loves helping her students find their artistic voice through choreography classes.
