If you are looking for lessons in the style of Breakin' or more commercially known as Breakdancing, then look no further! I will provide you with easy to follow step by step lessons that allow ANYONE to learn how to dance whether you are just a beginner or an experienced dancer.

I have been teaching Breakin' for 10 years in both private lesson settings as well as classroom settings. I spent 4 years in University of California, Irvine dance department teaching a course on the foundation movements of the style Breakin'. I am also a member of America's Best Dance Crew Season 8 KINJAZ.

About Darren
If you are looking for lessons in the style of Breakin' or more commercially known as Breakdancing, then look no further! Darren will provide you with easy to follow, step by step lessons that allow ANYONE to learn how to dance whether you are just a beginner or an experienced dancer.

Darren is a member of The Kinjaz from NBC's World of Dance and has been teaching, performing and choreographing in the Hip Hop community for 13 years. He has also been a part of world renowned Hip Hop organizations such as Culture Shock LA and Kaba Modern and spent 4 years on the faculty of the Claire Trevor School School of the Arts at the University of California, Irvine as an adjunct lecturer of Breakin'. He has been sharing his experience and knowledge by teaching and training dancers of all skill levels, from college performing arts programs, dance
studios and online students from around the world, how to break with the knowledge that he has been fortunate enough to gain.

Darren's goal is to share what dance has given him in his life by providing in person or online dance courses for up and coming dancers who may be intimidated or self-conscious to start dancing or do not have access to experienced teachers or a dance studio with classes that interest them around them. His courses allow both new and experienced dancers from all over the world to have access to an experienced teacher who understands the ins and outs of how to break down movements to its simplest form, so a student can confidently learn a movement with correct technique, execute them to music and piece them together to create their own combinations whenever and wherever without having to step foot into a studio.

He aspires not only to help those in his local dance community, but also dance communities worldwide who may not have direct access to the techniques and knowledge that was shared with him.

My experience with Darren was nothting short of outstanding! He has a neverending wheelhouse of moves that he can teach you. More importantly, he can help any bboy or regular dancer with the most important aspect of dance: staying on beat 100% of the time while doing these moves! He was kind, patient, punctual, and very talented. Anyone who wants to learn dance the right way can accelerate their learning by working with Darren!

Darren was very patient and nonjudgmental. I think he is a very good instructor. I was a little unsure as to how well a dance lesson would go over the internet but he put those fears to rest. I give him five stars for his knowledge and because he made me feel comfortable.

I have had experience in many different types of dance over the last 30 years. I love dance of any kind and love to pass that on to my students! I try very hard to make my lessons specific to the needs of each student not only in what I teach, but in how I teach them. I have had much experience working with students with physical limitations, as well as those who are very advanced. While I do focus on technique and proper performance of steps, I also enjoy getting my students to perform and enjoy dancing. After 30 years of dancing and almost 20 years of teaching I still love what I do and can't wait to share that love with you!

About Stephanie
With 30 years of dance experience and almost 20 years teaching experience, I am excited to help you learn to dance! I have done many different forms of dance from Ballet and Modern dance to Ballroom, Latin, Hustle and West Coast Swing.

After getting my BFA in Dance Pedagogy I began to branch out into the world of partner dancing. After spending some time competing in International Latin, I eventually starting competing in Hustle. I became a champion Hustle dancer, eventually being undefeated in Just Hustle competitions. During my time in Hustle I was also performing in dinner shows with a troupe of dancers and we would travel to events around the country. I was also exposed to West Coast Swing at the time, and this became my next venture.

I have reached the All-Star level in West Coast Swing and have continued to travel to eve
nts to teach, judge, and compete in both West Coast Swing and Hustle. All this time I have continued to study and teach Ballet and Modern Dance as well as Jazz, Ballroom and Latin.

I have been teaching on my own since 2008 and have had students of all levels. My students have been successful in competitions as well as being very strong social dancers. I love to teach and find that while it can be difficult to learn to dance, we can also have fun while doing it!

I was based in the Philadelphia area for almost 15 years and earlier this year have moved to the Charlotte, NC area. I teach at a couple of studios in the Lake Norman and Charlotte area as well as being able to teach online or in the comfort of your home. I look forward to sharing my love of dance with you, no matter what kind of dance you would like to learn!

Breakdancing (Breaking) in Idaho is rare, learning how to do it can be difficult. I can help, with three years teaching beginning and intermediate students. You as a student will learn the foundational moves for breaking. The purpose of class will be to help you increase your knowledge of the dance, as well as the culture. Battling will also be taught. Battling is a part of the breaking culture, and opportunities of battling will be arranged for all those that want to participate. Come learn to Break (Breakdance).

About Brenton
Currently, I teach Breaking (Breakdancing) at the YMCA, I teach at The Paunies Dance School in Blackfoot, and I travel to other states to Battle other bboys (breakdancers). I placed second in the battle Unity for the Community in Rexburg.

I have been teaching breaking workshops at BYU-Idaho since 2013. I taught at the Rocky Mountain Stars Dance studio to children ages 5 to 16.

When learning in my classes you will have opportunity to learn moves, and learn concepts that will increase your ability freestyle and battle opponents.

Breaking is an art form in hip hop, and in hip hop battling others is common. Battling is competing against another breaker head to head.

Something thing I like to teach students is the hip hop culture. The background is essential to understand as a student. There will be no big lectures. There will
be random lessons on the background of hip hop throughout the dance lessons to help you understand why people started breaking or how hip hop came together.

The most important thing to note is students will be given opportunity to compete locally against other students that are at the same level. The competition will increase the students skill level faster than just learning in class.

For an all around Breaking experience my students will learn breaking and hip hop history, learn how to freestyle, learn how to have fun through battling .
