I have been active in the entertainment industry since the age of 12, when I gave my first professional performance. Prior to that I was already being introduced to music with years of guitar, and then vocal instruction. I do not remember a time of my life when I was not singing somewhere; in the house, in the yard, in the classroom. That is perhaps why I identify so well with the young people who gather so much enjoyment from "just singing" at every opportunity. I studied professionally for over 10 years with renown soprano and voice teacher Sylvia Jensen, who was instrumental in the enhancement of my vocal knowledge and technique. She is now the Director of Education for the Miss Ohio pageants of the Miss America competitions, elevating many young ladies to the national spotlight. At age 14, I auditioned for, and was added to cast of a
network television variety program, "The Gene Carroll Show", that was a television institution for over 30 years in the Midwest. I was a featured performer on that program for over 7 years, all the while perfecting the art of "playing to a camera." This experience was invaluable, and the knowledge I gathered is now included in my curriculum. I also began performing a solo act in the nightclub circuit at the age of 15, performing up and down the "north coast" from Cleveland, OH, (my home), to Erie. PA. At a very young age, I learned the difficult art of choosing musical material and pacing a show; also adapting to performing under a myriad of conditions with a vast array of musical accompaniment. After graduating college with a degree in Business Administration and Marketing, I assembled my own band, and took to the road. That experience eventually brought the act to Las Vegas in 1982. Over the years my show has been a staple in major casino cabarets in Las Vegas, and all over Nevada. Since my first engagement at The Landmark Hotel in the early 1980's, I have literally been up and down the famed Las Vegas Strip many times over. The Desert Inn, The Dunes, The Stardust, The Maxim, The Tropicana, New York New York, Mandalay Bay, MGM, Bally's, The Flamingo, The Imperial Palace, The Four Queens, The Golden Nugget, The Fremont, The Venetian, The Palazzo, and a three year engagement at The Riviera. My show is truly comprised of musical variety; classics, show tunes, jazz, rock, blues, r&b, country. Even a presentation of "Music of the Night" from Phantom of the Opera, that I perform in full costume. It is this ability to successfully deliver an extensive repertoire that I am enthusiastic about passing along to the next generation of entertainers.
I have been truly blessed in my career to have experienced so many highlights; too many to document. From winning an understudy roll in the Broadway Musical "Platinum" starring Hollywood actress Alexis Smith, to performing our National Anthem at events ranging from Major League Baseball to ESPN Boxing to receptions for major dignitaries, to recording 7 albums and a full-length video, to being asked to perform for Mr. Frank Sinatra at the Frank Sinatra Celebrity Golf Tournament, I have lived a full life on stage, learning and absorbing every bit of knowledge gathered along the way. Now it is my desire to escalate my status as an educator to a more "one on one" experience; availing myself the opportunity to pass along that wealth of knowledge to individual students who aspire to enjoy the entertainment profession as I have, providing them with the skills needed to successfully compete. Or, should it be their choice not to pursue entertainment as a vocation, to gain a working understanding of all facets of their instrument so as to gain a better appreciation of music. Whatever the goal of the student, I feel that I am equipped to provide them with the tools needed to achieve that goal.
*** Lesson Details *** Content of Sessions
Generally, the first 10-15 minutes of each lesson will be focused on vocal warm up and exercise. (For guitar students, we will review the previous week's assignment). For Vocal Students, it is understood that the voice mechanism is made up of muscles, and as an athlete prepares for a sporting event, a singer must prepare to vocalize. It is at this time in our lesson when the student will develop good habits of voice maintenance, which will serve them well throughout their careers. The proper care and preservation of the vocal unit cannot be stressed enough, especially for pubescent and pre-pubescent students. Vocal chords in a developmental stage are most susceptible to damage, and because they are particularly sensitive, they must be handled with care. Our warm up regimen is designed to strengthen as well as preserve the singing voice.
I am not an advocate of getting too involved and "bogged down" in the technical aspects of singing, especially with the young students, and especially early in our program. This is not to say that breath control, tonality, pitch, etc. are not vital to good singing, because these workings are ESSENTIAL, and their application will certainly be incorporated into our studies. Some instructors, on occasion, have a tendency to lose sight of the fact that much to do with singing happens "naturally", and too much focus on the "technical" can actually be inhibiting. This can alter a beautiful, natural tone into one that is unnatural and contrived.
I adhere to the philosophy that above all else, SINGERS WANT TO SING SONGS, and musicians-in-training want to play music. That is our focus, and all of our training is conceived with that objective in mind. All the technical knowledge and coaching serves no purpose without practical application. It is my belief that the most significant progress occurs when a vocalist is singing a song.
Nearly every element of instruction can be utilized in the performance of one song. This is why the majority of our session time will be spent "in song". For the very young student, we will concentrate our efforts with the students choices of favorite and familiar songs. The older students will undoubtedly have favorite songs, styles and artists. Special attention will be paid to the genre most enjoyed by the student, but diversity will be emphasized as well, and a variety of genres will be unpacked and explored. I believe that whatever a student's musical goals and aspirations, it is in their best interest to gain knowledge and insight in all facets of music, singing, and performance.
The most vital pre-requisite for any student is their enthusiasm. My ambition will be to harness that enthusiasm and channel it productively through stimulating instruction. Our sessions will be informative and educational, but always predicated upon "having fun with music".
I am proud to feature a curriculum that emphasizes the entertainment aspect of singing as well as the technical; created to benefit all ages and experience levels, from beginner to seasoned professional. After just weeks of my "Triple Threat Training" a student will begin to see astounding results: vocally, musically, and in the art of performance. I am excited to share my knowledge with you. Let's get started!
***Performance Opportunities For Students*** I am very proud to share a long time friendship and association with Mr. Frank La Spina and his organization The Youth Musical Scholarship Foundation. Together we host shows and events that feature the most gifted and promising students of all ages in venues ranging from The Italian-American Club Showroom to the fabulous Smith Center For the Performing Arts. Many of my students have been featured in their OWN shows!! If you desire to hone your craft in front of audience in a quality venue, I can and WILL make that happen!!
*** Studio Equipment *** My studio is equipped with a full vocal sound system with microphones that I utilize to teach the valuable art of mic technique. Young students enjoy using the mics and hearing themselves sing and perform. Since our lessons are predicated on enjoying the art of singing, this opportunity has proven invaluable. For the advanced performer, studying all aspects of amplification and what a singer should know about their stage sound is a part of our educational curriculum. My studio is furnished with the equipment that is essential to mastering that knowledge. Since the practical aspect of my course is based on singing songs, I provide all the latest technology required to allow my students the opportunity to sing the songs of their choosing, with and without the lead vocal tracks. I feel that when students are singing their favorite songs, it offers me the greatest teaching opportunities. I make certain the every musical genre can be represented, and feel I have the knowledge and ability to guide the student is whatever their musical tastes. My studio is also equipped with piano (for vocal exercises), and guitars, which gives me opportunity to accompany my students when the musical moment is appropriate. Be assured that all the technology I need to fulfill the educational needs of my students is but a step away!! I AM ESPECIALLY EXCITED ABOUT MY STUDENTS BEING AFFORDED THE OPPORTUNITY TO RECORD THEIR MUSIC. My studio is equipped with full-service, state-of-the-art digital recording equipment. Many of my students have recorded full length albums. This not only provides an extraordinary teaching tool, but also a wonderful memory for student's family and friends!!
Such a confidence boost. Glenn helps you know what you’re already doing well, as well as what to improve on.
December 7, 2018
Glenn is amazing! He listened to me sing a few songs and gave me two tips that completely improved my vocal performance! Highly, highly recommended if you want to sing and perform better, and if you truly want to profoundly impact the listener to a higher degree !
Vocal problems can manifest in the most experienced of singers or even speakers. I can help with public speaking, speaking for long periods of time, or vocal health problems (nodes, nodules, etc.).
Music is definitely the universal language, and there isn't a genre I don't love; it's important to me that that aspect be brought to lessons, as well! From humble New Jersey beginnings to an opera career, I've seen the power of what music can do!
Whether it's opera, musical theater, folk, rock, or just public speaking, anything YOU love to do, I would love to teach you! Having taught all ages and levels, from first graders to adults, from someone who's never sung a note in his or her life to semi-professionals, I cater my lessons to what YOU as a student need and are interested in.
Lessons shouldn't be a chore - I like to foster an environment you look forward to being a part of! I also think that music, like any sport, is hard work, and takes seriously practice; even hobbies take concentration and application! I understand and can
work with many schedules and work loads, but I expect my students to put at least half the effort into their lessons that I do!
Prepare for any presentation with lessons in speaking voice. Learn to control and vary inflections to keep listeners interested in your subject. Included in lessons is how to get over stage fright.
Born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, at the age of 9, Natalie knew music was something that was just a part of who she was. Writing songs on the piano before lessons could be scheduled, Natalie found herself immersed in a medium that would bring her joy for the rest of her life.
By age 14 Natalie had won several trophies competing in Classical piano with the Illinois Music Association.
As an adult, she would go on to fill her life with the world of music as a singer, songwriter, performer and recording artist.

desire to teach. By 1997, Natalie was signed to an independent label and embarked on a new adventure.
"Music is an adventure, but without the foundation and passion I had as a child, I would have never landed where I did. I truly LOVE to teach and share what I know about piano, and the world of music. Music is what I know, and know best. Helping to create a solid foundation and build confidence in someone embarking on a journey in music is the most rewarding profession I have ever had the honor of participating in."

I am in New York City and accepting new students as well as reconnecting with anyone who wants to return. I have two graduate degrees: one in Music and the other in Dance and Theater studies. My undergraduate degree is from The Juilliard School, in Dance.
I've taught children and grown ups for many years. I have a strong performing career and love the way teaching keeps me in a giving and learning place.
*** Lesson Details *** With beginning students I am very laid back and patient and believe strongly that in the play of games and experiments technique will develop and manifest. As the student becomes more advanced I become more demanding as do the materials.
As an Acting teacher I have the capacity to take students along all the way to professional and beyond. I'm a member of the Actors Studio, the performing unions and ha
ve studied since childhood at ACT and then all over the world including The National in London.
For Dance, I have a wide knowledge and can teach several forms as well as history and materials. I also teach Ballet and many forms of Modern Dance. I adore teaching dance composition. To help a dance student make their own dances is very fulfilling. I also teach choreography or composition. One of the aspects of dance composition that has recently captivated me is the composing of sound and music for the dance that is also being made. Using software, we can explore electroacoustic as well as language and text collage as sound score for your dance. It is super fun!!!
For the Visual Arts I teach Abstract Painting as well as Installation and Performance Art. *** Studio Equipment *** I have supplies and space. Visual Art students need to contribute to materials by finding or purchasing whatever they like and adding to the mix. My students are welcome to use what I have here and I am always adding materials. Visual Art students need to book a 2 hour minimum and I will lower the price if you just let me know you need it.
My fees: I start at a higher fee and after you've been a regular student we can lower the fee for you if you need.
*** Travel Equipment *** just a space to work in - we can create a work space out of any space.
*** Specialties *** In dance I teach classical ballet principles for beginners or those who are returning and want to work carefully and privately. I teach from the tradition of Alfredo Corvino's principles of relationship to organic forms and structures for sound development. I studied with Mr Corvino for years and continue to study with Ernesta Corvino. For acting I teach a combination of classical acting technique with American sense memory and relaxation skills. I am well versed in the teachings of Lee Strasberg and then spent time in London to 'fill in the cracks' of my training with analytical skills as well as the various european influences that the Royal National embrace. I teach creative discovery in combination with classical devices so the student can discover their own artistry while learning actual classical devices for accomplishing specific goals.
Is public speaking a part of your life? Does it make you anxious or less like “you”? Do you want to find more ease and relaxation when it comes to using your voice? I hold an MFA in Acting from California Institute of the Arts and have over ten years of teaching experience. I can help you learn tools to find ease, power and authenticity with your speaking voice. I work and coach those whose professions involve public presentations, public speaking, interviews and debate. We will work together to help you gain access to your voice and tap into an ease and comfort with public speaking that may have never seemed possible. I have work with people from all walks of life and all backgrounds — from the business world to school presentations, speeches, auditions, important job interviews and speech and debate. I look forward to meeting you and hearing your story and accessing the potential of your unique voice.
I hold an MFA in Acting from the California Institute of the Arts and have been teaching professionally for over ten years. I teach Acting and Auditiong to young actors (10-18 years) and I also teach Public Speaking, Voice/Speech and Accent Reduction to those looking to find more ease and power when using their voice in front of others. I have taught, directed and coached young actors who have gone on to work professionally in Film, TV and Theater and my students have been accepted to renowned conservatories and universities across the country (NYU Tisch, California Institute of the Arts, AMDA and others). I am a passionate teacher who believes in the individual and in unlocking the creative genius, the impulses, the imagination and the unique forms of expression within each of my students. In my sessions, I encourage my students to
“play” and to discover how to both lean in and tap in to what is there and then develop relaxation, ease and focus on the task at hand - a monologue, an audition, a speech or working with a text. In addition to teaching and coaching actors, I have worked extensively in the corporate worlds in areas of Voice, Speech and Presentation as a coach and have taught group classes on Public Speaking and Presentation. I have taught and coached students from China, Russia, Taiwan, Italy, Japan in addition to the U.S. Throughout the ten plus years that I have been teaching, I have helped both actors and non-actors, those in the professional business world, gain tools that lead to freedom and ease of expression when speaking in front of others, be it at an audition, an interview, giving a presentation to a board or speaking in front of thousands at a Ted Talk.
Claire is a professional. She is a natural born teacher who immediately clicked with my son. She gave him the tools he needed for an upcoming audition at a theatre conservatory. Anyone from beginner to dedicated professional would benefit from private lessons with her. We feel very lucky we found her with so many less qualified people out there.
I have years of knowledge about vocal pedagogy. I have acted, sung, and taught for many years, performing since the age 5. Let’s have fun
About Cara Isadora
Hi there! My name is Cara. I am an award winning vocalist and experienced performer who loves to teach singing. My goal is to demystify vocal technique for students and help them “find their voice" pretty quickly with patience and care in a safe and friendly environment. In a relaxed, positive, and supportive atmosphere; students will improve their breath control and support, projection, phrase length, range, intonation, quality, comfort, stage performance and presentation skills, as well as other technical and stylistic aspects. I am currently available to teach lessons at my studio and online. Let’s have fun!
My credentials and affiliations include a Bachelor's in Vocal Music from Lamar University, Hurrah Players, Governor's School for the Arts, Opera Breve, and VA Opera. I specialize in opera and musical theater. I also record and p
erform pop, rock, R&B, and jazz. Trained by some of the best artists and teachers in Virginia and Texas, I have gained extensive knowledge in vocal pedagogy that has allowed me to become versed in numerous styles and crossover genres. Contact me and we can discuss in more detail want you are looking for in a voice teacher, your vocal goals and experiences, as well as availability and location details. Do not miss the opportunity to work with someone who is really dedicated to nurturing voices and serving art in a down to earth way and will get you where you want to go fast. Let’s get started! It’s gonna be great!
My goal is not only to help you deliver an attention holding speech, but also to help you become more comfortable speaking in front of your large or small crowd. Whether you're giving a 5-minute presentation to a board room of executives, delivering a sermon, or describing yourself in an interview, I will work to help you to take what you've written and present it confidently.
I grew up in the Northern Virginia area and have spent the last 15 years participating in some form of public speaking, whether through acting, directing, or delivering speeches. I have a B.S. in Theatre and Acting. I have delivered numerous speeches in front of crowds as small as one and as large as a few hundred. Currently I work in a position that requires public speaking to a crowd of at least 200 each week.
***Lesson Details*** I am fun and laid back in my style of teaching. I expect that the student will have pieces prepared or in mind for us to work on. Because public speaking can be troubling on its own, I try my best to provide an atmosphere where the student can feel comfortable.
I often will use very short clips of other speakers to provide ideas on both vocal and physical delivery. I do encourage the student to
practice what we cover on their own, and to come prepared each session.
I do not teach "mechanical" speaking. Some of the points we will work through will be annunciation, pausing, facial expression, volume, awkwardness, delivery, what to do with your hands, and most important, being comfortable. I have a good ear for fine tuning a vocal performance, and a few solutions to help out with difficult moments. My goal is to help you deliver unique, confident, even enjoyable speeches for any occasion: sermons, monologues, board room presentations, opening/closing statements, interviews, etc.
***Studio Equipment*** Computer, speakers for MP3 player, space to move (if needed).
***Specialties*** I specialize in speeches of short to moderate length (1-30 minutes). Monologues from plays/musicals will be approached differently. We will work on the vocal and physical element of your presentation, but I am happy to also assist in helping you develop your character within the monologue.
"Amazing, gifted, talented, and patient teacher!! I'm very happy I had the opportunity to learn and grow from Kristina! =)"
"Only 10 lessons in - and already I have seen a significant difference in my 'on air' voice - thanks to the direction, tutelage, tools and ultimate care Bi
ll has offered. Every session has a great flow, offers new ideas and most importantly there's a great level of comfort as venturing into new areas with your voice is not always easy. It is also incredibly useful that Bill sends out the weeks lesson plan/agenda a few days before our lesson so that I can wrap my head around what we will cover. Further on, I have the lesson plan so that I can always revert back to the tools that are taught as a reminder. Before Bill I had worked with a voice coach that was 4 times the cost, and very generic in the teachings, rather then with Bill who caters the sessions to my needs, and is obviously affordable. I fully recommend Bill, as you can tell. Very little cost for you to try an introductory 5 lessons - and from there you will certainly learn new ways to increase/sharpen your skill level."
"Troy was knowledgeable and patient in the first lesson, and I can already see improvement."
"Molly comes in with so much infectious energy. Her lessons are simple and straightforward, very easy to understand. She has great methods and explanations
with easing new students into improving their voices."
"She helped me after one lesson, teaching me the Alexander Technique. I can't wait to take more lessons later."
"Sara was wonderful. She taught me NVC framework that was very much helpful in sharing my feelings with another person. I highly recommend her to anyone wh
o wants to improve social communication skills. I am going to take her class again once my work has slowed down!"
"Very knowledgeable! I loved how she tailored my lesson to meet me exactly where I am."
I needed help with projecting and emoting with my voice for a reality TV shoot. Natalie was very helpful in teaching techniques to connect m
y breath and voice, relax and eliminate tension, and thoroughly warm up. These were very helpful. I went from being anxious on camera to having fun and looking forward to more. Highly recommended!"
"Sara Ann is an amazing teacher. She is very knowledgeable and pinpointed on what I have to work on right away. I am very blessed I met her to help me out
