About Amadou
I am a distinguished graduate with Summa Cum Laude honors from Ivy Tech College. I make it my duty to break down many of the complexities in math and science that have been plaguing students since the beginning of time. I have over 7 years of teaching experience, and I have taught several middle-school and high-school students math, science and ACT/SAT prep who have went on to make 180 degree turns in their grades under my instruction. And because I have worked with such a vast diversity of people over the span of 16 countries throughout the world, I have developed the patience and understanding that is crucial in producing stellar students. Age has never been a problem with me, as I've helped several post-graduate students straighten out their grievances in math and science.

As an engineering major at IIT, I naturally maintain an ex
emplary study ethic that inspires my students to achieve more. I bring results. I relate to my students by incorporating elements of the things that they like (sports, hobbies, music, etc...) into their most challenging courses allowing them to develop a passion for the courses I tutor. Additionally, I always make a conscious effort to work at each student's own pace and I make it my priority to decompose enigmatic topics into components that can be more easily internalized by my students, effectively increasing their grades and giving them the self-confidence and enthusiasm they need to fuel their future academic endeavors. I guarantee quality, commitment, and a passion for training my students to be the best.

I have lived in over 20 countries, which allowed me to speak several languages, and which permitted me to maintain my patience, élan and spirit of enthusiasm when dealing with even the most extreme personalities. I have solid background in both math and the natural sciences, as I have consistently maintained a 4.0 G.P.A since high school. I am now studying mechanical engineering at IIT, and I have gotten 5s in all of my AP Chemistry, AP Physics and AP Biology exams. I have also been the winner of many STEM-related competitions, through my demonstrating of exemplary leadership qualities and through my brainstorming of blue-sky ideas. I am also a "Mental-Math" practitioner, reflexologist and guitarist. I believe that everyone has potential; however potential is worthless unless put in motion. And experts like me value ourselves in our abilities to give students that push, that jolt of energy that galvanizes them into pulling themselves up by their own bootstraps, allowing them to achieve academic excellence.

Amadou is fantastic! My daughter is 9, going into the 4th grade and math has been a struggle for her. Kara was very nervous at first, as this was her first online class! Amadou helped her become comfortable fast. She loved the fact that he could make her laugh. He has the skill to make math fun! She was so encouraged with the lesson and feels so much more confident in what she's learned. She was surprised at how much she picked up so quickly with the little 'tools' Amadou went over. What a great class/lesson. Thanks Amadou!

Zach is a recent graduate of Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, where he studied Jazz Guitar Performance and Composition. Over the past few years, he has performed extensively as a multi-instrumentalist, both in the Chicagoland area and on the east coast. He is also an amateur producer with experience in DAWs such as Ableton Live. Zach has taken on many private students, typically but not always younger. His educational framework begins with establishing a certain comfort level with one’s instrument, and evolves into a deep study of the mu
sical traditions surrounding the student’s area of interest, enabling the student to fully blossom as an artistic thinker.

Our son was tutored in math for 3 years while in middle school. Julia's tutoring provided a great foundation for his high school curriculum. It allowed him to finish one year of a college level math class while in high school.
Our daughter was also tutored while in elementary school. Math is her favorite subject in school. We really liked Julia's teaching approach, great communication skills , and her patience .

I have never sung in public but it was always a dream of mine to be able to sing a solo in front of my family and friends for the holidays. I heard about Ms. Lydia through friends and asked her to teach me to sing. She gave me a free consultation to determine what my needs were and then set up a plan to help me reach my goals through the lessons that she gave me. Fast forward to last Christmas, I surprised my family by singing a ton of Christmas favorites and I am preparing to do the same this year. Thank you Ms. Lydia

I am a junior at Northwestern University studying flute performance and psychology. I have been playing flute for almost 10 years and have worked in solo, chamber, and orchestral settings in addition to teaching. I have attended the Aspen Summer Music Festival and School and Eastern Music Festival. At the Aspen Summer Music Festival and School I was a teacher for the Passes and Lessons Summer Program and Foaring Fork Valley Lesson Program. As part of the Passes and Lessons Summer Program I taught local honors students who had auditioned and recommended other musical activities for them to attend, as well as opportunities to shadow me during orchestra rehearsals.

As an orchestral musician, I have played with both the student and faculty orchestras at the Eastern Music Festival, the orchestras of the Aspen Music Festival and School, and
both orchestras at Northwestern University.

I also seek out solo performances, and have performed as a concerto soloist with the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra, with Brett Mitchell conducting, been a finalist in the Eastern Music Festival, and won first place in the Central Ohio Flute Association's collegiate competition.
