With beginning readers, I incorporate songs and rhyme to help children hear and understand phonics. I also use rhythm/percussion to help children distinguish syllables.
I have been teaching music (guitar, bass guitar, keyboard, banjo, mandolin, ukulele, recorder, music theory, and classes for toddlers, preschoolers, school-aged children, and adults) for over 20 years. I am also a band/show director at the School of Rock! In addition to teaching music, I also tut

When teaching, traveling, writing and loving books comes together, reading becomes ALIVE. I've been teaching students and adults the joy of reading and writing for 19 years and absolutely love it. My teaching methods may differ from other tutors because of the customized services. Your session begins with a consultation and several assessments to determine areas of strengths and needs. Afterwards, a customized learning plan is created specifically designed to help accelerate you or your student's learning. I really enjoy working with struggling readers and writers that have Individualized Education Plans (IEPs),
or identify as receiving interventions via Student Support Team (SST), Response to Interventions (RTI), have a 504 plan or general education student in need of specialized interventions.
I hold the following credentials: B.S. in American Studies, Master's Degree in Special Education, Reading Endorsement, Writing Endorsement, Gifted Certification, 2010/2011 school Teacher ...

She was diligent in reviewing competitive demos to guide me to a variety of written copy and voice/energy levels that will help my demos stand up to those with more experience. She provided valuable advice regarding selection and use of materials for the demo and beyond as well as insights on the voiceover business.
I’m very pleased with the results of the two demos and expect to continue to take advantage of her coaching services as I grow in my new career.

Biology feels challenging, but learning the concepts behind how life works is also fun and enlightening! I understand how nerve-wracking it is to take standardized tests, as I've taken the SATs, GRE Biology Subject Test, and PRAXIS Biology Subject Test. With a lot of hard work and preparation, I received high scores on all, including a recognition of excellence award for the PRAXIS Biology score. Let's work together on tackling test anxiety and overcoming content learning barriers in biology!
