I've been teaching Chinese for almost 8 years and my students have gone on to develop a deep love of Chinese language, culture and more! Within the first few lessons, you'll start learning and speaking simple practical Chinese characters and sentences and as time goes on, you'll be able to write and speak Chinese fluently.I typically use worksheets, living textbooks,Chinese songs, role play and more. I love working with students of all experience levels.

About Sandy
Having taught Chinese Language Skills in the private sector, primary, secondary and college institutions for a number of years in China, has not only given me great confidence to teach in a classroom setting, but has inherently brought an instructor comfort that feels natural to me.
In addition, finding an opportunity where I can assist the kids, middle school and high school students and adults who love to learn Chinese college staff while maintaining my teaching proficiency in traditional or simplified Chinese characters is both welcome and rewarding to me.

I'm certain that my rich knowledge and years of experience in classroom practical application of Chinese Curriculum / Culture coupled with my love to teach make me a professional, responsible and patient teacher.

In addition, I can teach you Chinese in your location which
is no more than 10 miles away from Vista where I live. I can also teach you how to play badminton and cook delicious authentic Chinese food.

Ms. Qi is a very accessible and diligent teacher. My son can be difficult, but she found ways to quickly connect with him and get him to open up. She accommodated his need for assistance with his regular work, but encouraged us to "start again" with Chinese which is probably a good idea. Very much appreciate her experience and enthusiasm.

I grew up in a bilingual environment and so am proficient in both English and Mandarin Chinese. Having also learned French and Thai through my childhood and adolescence, I am no stranger to learning a new language.

About Natasha
Hello, I'm Natasha and I grew up loving math and science. These subjects always felt very logical and natural to me, and I hope to share my love and intuition for them with every student I teach. My passion for math and science brought me to Caltech, where I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering with a focus in Applied Math.

I've previously tutored elementary and middle school children where I provided one-on-one assistance with homework help and exam prep in Math. I love that tutoring is not a one-size-fits-all approach and that each student can view a particular problem very differently than his or her peers. I do my best to tweak my pace and teaching style to fit each student's needs more closely, so that they can get the most out of each session.

I extensively programmed in R for 4 years in industry, and made s
ome very interesting data visualizations to represent statistical analyses of open-source data. Statistics feels a lot more approachable when there are visualizations to illustrate the concepts.

I graduated with a Chemical Engineering degree from Caltech, and worked in a protein chemistry lab for 3.5 years. I have in-depth knowledge in high-school and college-level organic chemistry, physical chemistry, thermodynamics and spectroscopy.

I grew up in a bilingual environment and so am proficient in both English and Mandarin Chinese. Having also learned French and Thai through my childhood and adolescence, I am no stranger to learning a new language and will be happy to guide a student through learning Chinese for the first time! I enjoy learning about China's rich history of over 5000 years, and believe that the best way to teach the language is to let it come alive with stories that have been handed down over many dynasties and generations.

Talk to you soon! Drop me a message so we can see if I can fit your needs.

I come from Beijing, now live in Simi Valley, CA. When I was in my college 12 years ago, I began to teach some American teachers Chinese, and help them to know about Chinese culture. We often go to restraunt together, I am very glad that they love Chinese food and different culture. With more and more knowing about each other's culture, we became friends. After graduation, I work in an international environment, I began to teach my English-speaker colleges Chinese, always happy to share with them local culture and custom, they love it and some of them decide stay in Beijing. Now I live in US, I find that lots of people here want to learn Chinese, which makes me motivated to continue teaching Chinese. I think this is a very meaningful and happy things to do.

You, or your kids/friends, love Chinese and her culture? Let's start this interesting exploring journey! You will enjoy it!
