My emphasis is on a dialogue-driven, genre-sensitive, and media-enriched introduction to writing. This establishes a common and confident ground for inspirational English learning. The goal is to address critical, daunting issues that often derail students’ track towards the acquisition of a distinctive, impressive writing style.
I have studied English, directly, through my degree in the field and through continued training at the graduate and doctorate levels. I've taught several sections of first-year composition at a university. I have written short stories and poetry in formal environments and for presentation. I have facilitated learning for diverse age levels, as children, adolescents, adults, and seniors.
For example, I use a customized curriculum addressing frequently requested topics, as creativity, personal style, grammar, punctuation, diction, syntax, and idea-generation. Students have favorably reviewed my unique usage of related multimedia tools, as audio ...

Erol has a very systematic approach in teaching accent reduction. Since taking lessons with Erol, I've started to become more aware of my speech and noticed an improvement in my pronunciation. Highly recommended!

Erol utilizes an audio software to analyze and determine what needs to be worked. This eliminates a lot of human hearing errors and gives me a visual on what’s correct vs incorrect. Highly recommended for you to try his method out.
Rhonda
I enjoyed the lesson very much, he started out teaching things that made sense so that I would learn faster than the lessons I have previously taken and not done well with.
I'm looking forward to the next lesson and am practicing what we went over in class.

She does "unclean" vocals in her band, Karkaza but is super knowledgeable on regular singing. After only a couple months, I'm beginning to see some progress despite my years singing improperly.

Dr. Maggie Fry does everything in her power to help students achieve greatness. Her lectures are relevant, thorough, and engaging. She is equal parts witty and attentive; any feedback given is done so with an open mind. I believe that she has made me a better, more confident writer due to her encouragement - going out of her way to provide me with a list of publishers who accept student work. She gave me the courage to pursue my passion in life and finally declare my major as English with a concentration in writing.

"I used to have terrible handwriting. Chicken scratch, if you will. I didn't think it was possible but after 2 months of continuous practice and finding a comfortable grip, I managed to write my best ever. I remember being rejected for a job because the essay portion underperformed the rest of the application. Kima is no joke! Unlike real teachers she doesn't want you to copy her handwriting exactly to prove proficiency. She helped me find my style and keep it neat. Glad I asked for help when it truly mattered."
