I am an experienced musician and performer with a variety of teaching skills gained over 20 years of study and action. Lessons in my studio are about so much more than just learning to sing a song or write music. Students are instilled with business knowledge, work ethic, and confidence so that they can truly accomplish whatever they set their minds to. We go deep and focus on how to develop new mental and physical habits that can help the student better express his/herself. We work hard on a curriculum that is specifically catered to the student's needs, and of course, is fun too!

I've worked with students from ages 6-65, with varying backgrounds and interests. From complete beginners to professional performing artists. All students are guaranteed to see improvement in their technical skills within the first month of lessons. Let's do this!

About Jameson

Jameson is a recording artist, songwriter and producer. He is a graduate from the University of Oregon, and holds a BA in Theater Arts, Music and Business. As a vocalist, Jameson sings regularly in a wide variety of styles. He has studied the Alexander Method, Body Mapping, Singing by Speakin

i was definitely nervous coming into a singing lesson and was scared to sing in front of anyone, but Jameson is a very patient and knowledgeable instructor who makes you feel very comfortable to talk to and to sing to during the lesson. he gives very useful feedback which you can take with you and practice to improve a lot. I learned so much from him and he really adapted his teaching to what I wanted out of my singing experience in terms of the style of the song. I would highly recommend Jameson as a singing instructor.

Mike taught Leo in person before the pandemic started and has been doing online lessons with him for the past eight months. He is amazing with both. Leo has a very short attention span, but a deep love for music. Mike has been able to hold Leo’s attention every week for over a year — even during online lessons. Leo has become an awesome little pianist, and has developed a love for the piano. It has given him the ability to express all of his feelings and has helped his attention span for his schoolwork. Mike has so much patience, and always inquires about Leo’s favorite activities. He is great with kids and makes them feel so comfortable. Leo loves his “booming voice” and the free play blues music they get to play together every lesson.

Bring your elderly loved one or your child with special needs for music therapy sessions in which we'll actively make music -- singing, playing rhythm instruments, and moving -- in ways appropriate to age and capabilities. The power of music and its impact on the body/mind works its calming, life-affirming magic.

During these sessions, parents or caregivers can relax in my restful, art-filled living room with a view through glass doors into my teaching studio. Alternatively, you are welcome to participate with us!
