Olga taught us an amazing first wedding dance that she also choreographed for us. She combined Rumba and Foxtrot elements – with leans, dips and even a lift – into one unique dance that impressed (and definitely surprised) our friends and family at the reception. Neither of us had ever done any formal dancing before, but Olga got us to a proficient level in a very short time. Besides being a talented teacher, Olga is also very funny, as well as kind, and will make you feel at ease as you begin to dance, no matter your skill or comfort level. Highly recommended!

Are you someone who just loves to dance, but you're not sure where to start and you aren't and have never really been a studio dancer? That was once me, I went into college with never having any sort of technical training and ended up graduating with UNLV Department of Dance's Outstanding Performer Award. So I learned my style of movement from both outside and inside the studio which will allow me to bring the best of both worlds to you as an upcoming dancer and give you versitility in movement and choreography.

I have experience training, teaching, choreographing, and performing all throughout Las Vegas, as well as collegiate dance experience in performing in New York and South Korea with a select, elite group of dancers. I am trained in the techniques of and teach hip hop, contemporary, jazz, lyrical, improv, choreography and modern.

About Lucinda
I am a graduate from UNLV with a Bachelors in Fine Arts in Dance Performance & Choreography. My choreographic work has not only been premiered in four UNLV Dance Concerts, but as well as in concerts for dance companies in Las Vegas. I was also awarded UNLV Dance Department's Outstanding Performer Award. I have experience training, teaching, choreographing, and performing all throughout Las Vegas, as well as collegiate dance experience, in performing in New York and South Korea with a select, elite group of dancers. I am trained in the techniques of and teach hip hop, contemporary, jazz, lyrical, improv, choreography and modern. For my choreography, I draw inspiration from and truly love to mix the genres of contemporary and hip-hop, creating a blend of hard hits and smooth releases.

Dance Lessons with me are designed to be a fun, inviting, and educational learning experience. Each lesson is a time of positive enrichment, growth, and unlimited opportunities. Growing up, I always enjoyed going to dance classes as they were an escape route from my daily duties or simply just relieving my mind from math homework for a few hours. Now, as an instructor I strive to meet each students needs by teaching in a style that best suits them. My goal as a teacher is to help my students become the best dancer they can be while also helping them be the best person they can be by teaching them time management skills, discipline, and the importance of the arts.

About Katie Rose
Katie Rose Carnes, a Memphis native, is a graduate from The University of Alabama, with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance and a minor in Food and Nutrition and Human Development and Family Studies. She is excited to extend her passion and enthusiasm for dance as she begins her performance and teaching career.
Carnes has trained in Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Tap, Musical Theatre, and contemporary dance styles for 17 years. While completing her undergraduate degree for the past four years Carnes also focused heavy on choreography and dance for film. Carnes has choreographed five works while attending UA, with three of them being chosen for festivals and other performance opportunities.
Rags & Riches, a fosse inspired work, was chosen by UA Dance director, Cornelius Carter, to be showcased at The University of Alabama’s Homecoming Festivities to repr
esent the dance department. It’s a Choice, It’s a Chance, It’s a Change, a contemporary work, was selected to perform at Alabama Dance Festival (’17) and the Young Choreographers Festival in New York City (’17). Additionally, Don’t think too much, a jazz funk duet, was chosen to go on tour with the UA dance department to inner city schools in the state of Alabama to share the art of dance with the students. Furthermore, Carnes directed and choreographed two films, Beauty and A Chance in Time. Both films were selected for The University of South Florida’s Dance Shorts Film Festival (’15 & ’16), and A Chance in Time was showcased in the Dance Alabama Film Festival (’17).
August 2016, Carnes returned from her first International performance of Col/apse, at the International Collegiate Theatre Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland. In fall ’15, Carnes was selected as an Undergraduate Creative Research Activity Scholar where she received a grant to pursue her dream as an artist at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
This past summer, Carnes is worked in the Live Entertainment department at Cedar Point, summer 2017. She then went on to perform on tour the Chicago Honey Bear Dancers and is now a full-time teacher with Today’s Generation Dance. In her spare time, Carnes enjoys exercising, photography, and reading nutrition blogs.

Katie Rose did a fantastic job during our private! She made sure we went through all the combos and took the time to show me where I was going wrong or what I was doing really well. She loves dance and it shows through her teaching methods and the passion she shows while dancing; would definitely take lessons from her again!
