About Briana
Briana teaches voice to all ages and all levels. She incorporates breathing exercises, vocal warm-ups, and ear training, into all lessons, as well as performance practice of a song from any genre of the student's choosing. Once the student masters the song, he or she also has the unique opportunity to record the song in Briana's home studio. Her philosophy is that lessons should be fun and productive and, therefore, all of her students have a great time, as well as learn a lot. :-)

Briana also holds a masters degree in English literature and has been teaching English for over 15 years. She is qualified to teach the following: English as a second language, creative writing, English literature, advanced essay writing, composition, and a wide array of others. She teaches at the elementary, middle, high school, and college levels.

Brian
a has studied various vocal genres under a wide variety of coaches: classical, chamber, and pop voice; musical theatre voice and jazz, soul, R&B, and gospel technique at McGill University in Montreal. Briana also spent 10 years studying the classical Suzuki method of piano under Phyllis Kranz (Dover, NH), which helped to develop her ear.

Briana can be heard in commercials including the 2015 international campaign for Coca-Cola directed by David LaChapelle, the 2015 American Express campaign, backing Aretha Franklin on the legendary "Natural Woman," Maybelline's CS Creamy Mattes starring supermodel Adriana Lima, David LaChapelle's Smirnoff spot starring Amber Rose, the 2011 Fanta "Vision" campaign, and national advertisements for "Living Social." She also works frequently in film and television as a soundtrack contributor on numerous projects, including Disney's My Babysitter's a Vampire (2010) (TV), Image's horror anthology Chillerama (2011), and the science fiction film Devolution: Reckoning (2011).

With a unique blend of blues, pop and soul, Briana's immensely popular debut album GRANITE STATE (2009) led to a series of packed shows on the stages of the Sunset Strip, including House of Blues, Key Club, and the Whiskey a Go Go. Her follow-up album, "Armor" was released in 2011 to successful sales on Amazon, iTunes, and Rhapsody.

Briana has also been the featured guest performer at a number of prestigious private events: Dodger Stadium (anthem singer), The Molson Centre (anthem singer), The Whittemore Center (anthem singer), various Gubernatorial Galas, Inaugurations, and more.

Fun, Encouraging and Helpful!

Brianna was fantastic with my fourteen year old! She helped build up confidence, was very encouraging and made lessons fun. She uses a variety of techniques to teach singing skills including speech-level singing by Seth Riggs. I highly recommend her for beginners as well as for people looking to record a demo.

Supportive, fun, and SO knowledgeable

I started taking singing lessons because I wanted to pick up another hobby, and Briana has helped me do just that. She is incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and supportive regardless of what your goals are. She makes the technical side of signing fun and enjoyable, something other teachers I have worked with have been unsuccessful at. Briana provides a positive and warm space to let loose in, and most importantly has reminded me that I don't always have to take myself so seriously. I highly recommend Briana to anyone who is looking for a teacher they can create a connection with, regardless of skill level because she can handle it all!

Talented, understanding and fun!

I just wanted to take singing lessons for fun and to build up my confidence singing around others. Briana has taken my needs into account and has done a great job putting together lessons that fit my needs. She offers a very relaxed, soothing atmosphere that gives me the comfort that I need to be able to work on my goals. She is very talented as well, which helps me feel confident in her abilities to teach me what I'm looking to learn. Overall, she is a great singing coach and I would recommend her to anyone! :o)

About Clifford
****Dr Cliff requires that you contact him through the Ask-A-Question feature prior to booking lessons with him. Please be sure to provide him with the following:

-Location
-Age
-Subject
-Skill Level
-Goals
-Schedule request.

'Dr. Cliff,' a part-time college/university professor, teacher and tutor with 5 master's and 3 doctoral degrees in a variety of topics: Mathematics, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, MBA, Leadership, Education and Administration. He has always used proven educational techniques to instruct undergraduate students, graduate students and school children/teenagers (K-12). In addition, Dr. Cliff is a Certified Tutor by American Tutoring Association and National Tutoring Association (Math); he holds California Teaching Credentials in Math (CSET I,II,III), Busin
ess (I,II,III), and Educational Technology/Computers (I,II); he is a Sylvan Certified Teacher in Math and Arts/Language K-12.

Dr. Cliff believes that, although many professors and teachers do an admirable job in the classroom, many students and children do not learn well in traditional institutions. Many students and children don't respond to the assembly line nature of most institutions. He believes that a student's or child's strengths and natural abilities need to be the foundation of learning. Dr. Cliff often warns against a "cookie cutter" approach to educating students, teenagers and children. You or your child is seen as an individual, and natural strengths are identified and built upon. Therefore, individual one-on-one tutoring or help is the key approach to each student who has any challenges difficulties in a given subject.

In today’s environment and economic challenges, with shorter budgets for the education, larger classes sizes and pressure of performing well in all kind of standard tests, I often see many students lacking true knowledge and skills in a given subject, since they cannot get individualized attention during the class session. That’s where a tutor comes into the picture, not only uncover major “holes” in students’ knowledge set but also teach students how to study, how to learn and through proper guidance “fill” those knowledge and skills holes.

About Daniel
I'm a graduate of UCLA School of Engineering with a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering. I have a passion for explaining how the physical world works through math and physics along with 10 years of tutoring experience in those subjects, test prep, and mentorship programs. The teaching strategy I believe in emphasizes subject fundamentals, a powerful and necessary tool for higher problem solving. This strategy has proven effective regardless of the student's educational background or mental ability. Besides being knowledgeable, I am motivating, caring, and patient in guiding your student to academic success!

Executive Functioning is a separate realm that tutoring can assist in. It deals with cognitive processes including organization, time management, and study skills. Much of the difficulty students face in academic subjects can be attribute
d to the lack of executive functioning. They either cannot keep up with the pace and workload that advanced courses demand or haven't figured out the best way to study for themselves. I am able to assess a student's shortcomings and formulate a plan for higher achievement.

Math:
• Elementary • Pre-Algebra • Algebra 1 & 2 • Geometry • Pre-Calculus
• Trigonometry • AP Calculus • Applied/Business Calculus • Differential Equations

Physics:
• AP Physics 1 & 2 • College Physics

Test Prep:
• SAT I & II • ACT • ISEE • SSAT • HSPT • GRE • TEAS and more

Computers:
• MS Word • Excel • PowerPoint • Outlook • Adobe Acrobat • Adobe Reader • Google Drive • Skype • General Windows/MAC

Mentorship:

Executive Functioning:

I would highly recommend him as a math tutor because he is easy to understand, easy to talk to and makes you feel more knowledgeable.

I've written a review for Paul before, but I would like to write one again! I was an amateur, self-taught guitar player who knew nothing about classical guitar, and I hired Paul to help me prepare for an audition for CSUN's music program. I only had 7 months to get prepare for my audition, and I passed with flying colors! I exceeded their expectations, and it was all thanks to him.

Paul is an incredible teacher. He's able to notice such small details and nuances in my playing. He's always able to identify where I'm having problems and knows exactly which pieces and exercises I should play to fix them. When I'm having trouble understanding a concept, he's able to break it down really well into simpler terms. I would highly recommend him for anyone trying to learn at any level.

Hi everyone! I've been teaching in a variety of areas for many years in many different respects. I teach voice lessons, and audition coaching. I've been doing that for a long time! During my "day-job" years, I was an analyst, and I'm especially skilled with Microsoft Excel. And I LOVE teaching people how to make magic on that program. I have done projects that included creating databases, training departments on the use of said databases, taught entire departments at Jet Propulsion Laboratory how to migrate to Microsoft Outlook from (the archaic) Eudora.

My musical talents run parallel with my affinity for numbers. In my life, it has manifested in music composition, arranging, and musical direction. And, of course, PERFORMANCE! I've performed in and around the Los Angeles area for many years. I own a professional Christmas Caroling co
mpany that I direct and sing in as well. So I'm a performer, and a small business owner! So come see what I can offer!
