We find different methods and models to encourage the connection between understanding problems and developing solution-oriented mindsets. Students develop greater awareness, approach, and integration of algebra both for their classes as well as the use in practical "real time" (i.e. life application).
VOCAL COACH Rehabilitating and strengthening voices are two of my top specialties, and each lesson will have specific exercises tailored to helping you transform your voice into the highest and best version of your instrument. I work with singers signed to labels as well as the indie artist just starting to find his/her voice, style, and signature sound. My coaching approach incorporates some of the newest technologies that have shown extraordinary results in breaking down the inner blocks of each artist. It is a tremendously joyful and fulfilling experience to watch as my students really let their instrument shine brightly, boldly, and with an aboslutely stunning groundedness as they discover how powerful they truly are.
Poised, energized, and armed with unforgettable performance ability, Michelle G
. is a firework in the artistic arena. Her training began at the young age of 3 with the violin, and a few years later received classes for piano and voice. Excelling in all three, Michelle developed a very passionate and dramatic personality that eventually led her to more dramatic genres such as opera and stage acting. Her aptitude to understand human emotions and relationships gives her a wide spectrum to play in as an actress. There is an organic flow to her interpretations both as an actress and musician that leads the audience to feel her emotional current. Her honest characterizations introduce deeper perspectives on what seems like the ordinary roles and storylines. Amongst the many other leads that she has played, her participation in roles like “Susanna” in The Marriage of Figaro, or “Donna Elvira” in Don Giovanni embody much vibrancy and integrity. Through the development of her voice as a singer and actress, she has crossed over into other media such as voice over commercial work and vocals for pop/main stream music productions. She has recently participated as a vocalist and violinist in the albums of artists such as international jazz pop artist David Longoria, Latin pop singer Erick Bolivar, Grammy-nominated percussionist Souhail Kaspar, and American Idol’s Seysha. Over the last few years she has unraveled her musical skills as a songwriter/composer/arranger and has even had some small victories acquiring music placements on TV shows (NCIS, short film “Sumtin’ Like Dat”, The Dictator) for herself and some of her colleagues. Her singing can also be heard on the hit tv show "Jane The Virgin", "Castle" and "Shameless" amongst others.
Education Michelle completed her Associates of Arts for Music/Music Education at the age of 18, and got later graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Miami with a Bachelor's of Arts for Musical Theater and Music Business, as well as from Florida International University with a Master's of Music in Vocal Performance.
*** Lesson Details *** I tailor my lessons to my student's needs, style, abilities, and goals. Learning is truly a fun and passionate adventure for me, and my enthusiasm has consistently been a contagious quality :) I love to challenge myself & my students to discover how immense their true potential is, and I create a safe and fun environment to explore such facets.
My curriculum is combination of solid tradition (Suzuki method for piano & violin, and Bel Canto technique for singing) interwoven with pop-culture, and modern influences. Within the first 3-6 months, my students will know the basic building blocks of music - which includes scales, arpeggios, triads, intervals, technique, and performance repertoire; and for my singers this will include proper breath technique, tone placement, support, very often increased vocal range (both high and low), and will feel significantly stronger vocally and more confident getting up to sing.
*** Studio Equipment *** Full size Keyboard, mics, pro tools, Violin (electric, acoustic, and Chinese Ehru)
It's been a great experience to have lessons online. Although it lasted 45 minutes, I have seen that these types of lessons are very useful and practical. Thank you for providing these lessons!

Michelle is so patient and kind. She gives me help with my accent and the way I pronounce the words so that I sound more like a native speaker. I love her. She is so much fun. I'd recommend her to anybody.

Michelle is awesome!!! She is so sweet and a very good and encouraging instructor. She inspires me to be a better teacher. She helped me with where I was weak and gave me homework. I will definitely be working with her for EVERYTHING that I want to learn.
I possess an adept understanding of mathematical and scientific subject matters. I have accrued a great deal of knowledge and experience tutoring in these subjects over the last seven years. I have a wide arsenal of tutoring approaches, as I've worked with a number of students possessing a wide variety of learning styles and personalities.
I'm very patient and easy-going, so let's get you started!
Math is my biggest passion, ever since I discovered its full depth. While many ask themselves "how will this equation be useful in my life?" I always ask myself "how can I make this equation meaningful in my life." I am a mathematics major and have enjoyed every single math class I have ever taken.
Please contact me before making a payment! Ever since I started my studies in the United States, 5 years ago, I have been captivated by the educational system. Initially, I tutored high school students as a tool to better practice my communication skills with the English language. I continued this tutoring path by aiding other college students on a 1-to-1 basis and more recently as part of an online experience. Math is my biggest passion, ever since I discovered its full depth. While many ask themselves "how will this equation be useful in my life?" I always ask myself "how can I make this equation meaningful in my life."
This guy is one of the best tutors I've ever had! He can break everything down and make it way easier! I can spend 2 hours with my teacher and still not get anything but Brandon will make it clear in 30 minutes!

Brandon was so communicative and his homework help was so thorough. I work crazy hours and he really helped me get concepts clearly. Thanks again!

Brandon is such a great tutor! He is dependable and will do his best to help you in anything you need. 10/10 would get tutoring again!
In addition to the standard Algebra 2 and Precalculus curriculums, I tutor advanced topics, such as problem solving strategies for the American Mathematics Competition.
The most important attributes of any teacher are empathy and patience.
I currently attend Harvard University and work as a professional writer and tutor. I've lived all over the United States, although I grew up in Scotland of all places. My scores on the SAT and ACT were perfect (1600 and 36 respectively), though I too had to work hard to get there, so I know what it's like when you're just starting out.
Over the years, I've worked with students suffering from ADD, autism, dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, speech disorders, and depression; I personally grew up inured to social anxiety, so I can always empathize.
Some tutors will tell you that they know all the tricks and shortcuts. But really, there are no tricks. No shortcuts. Just hard work and sleepless nights and talking to yourself while brushing your teeth in the morning
I have a decade of experience and a vast collection of study materials that I can share with you for free. I've had the privilege to help hundreds of students with everything from college applications and essays to Creative Writing and Calculus, not to mention the GRE, GMAT, LSAT, MCAT, ASVAB, and AP and SAT II subject tests, like Literature, Statistics, Physics, Biology, and Chemistry as well.
I absolutely love writing, of course, so I can teach you how to write an action scene or listen to a poem.
Simeon has been an absolutely invaluable resource for my SAT prep. His encouragement is appropriately supplemented by challenging material and (appropriately) challenging expectations. He manages to make studying for the SAT fun rather than a laborious task and I could not recommend him more.

My daughter's score increased by 130. Thanks SImeon!

Simon has somehow inspired my granddaughter to work really hard to prepare for her SATs. She is finding studying fun again, but more importantly, she is once again more confident about her intelligence and her ability to learn. His style and quirky humor is a perfect match for my granddaughter.
Priti is a graduate in Physical Therapy and a teacher by passion. She has significant teaching experience for over 12 years personal tutor in subjects including Math, Science, Algebra 1, 2, Geometry, ACT/SAT Test Prep Math, Geography, Language Arts, Hindi (foreign language), School projects, along with Anatomy & Physiology to Grad Students.
She is a patient and methodical teacher who believes in making learning a fun process and success achievable.
Priti is a great instructor! She has taken the time to plan out lessons suited to my needs. From the short time I've spent with Priti I can tell she is very knowledgeable, detail oriented and quite patient!
Two thumbs up!
Students will learn the concepts and apply them through a lot of practice problems. Through the practice, students will have a full knowledge of the concept(s).
I teach/tutor a myriad of topics and love doing it. I'm currently attending the Georgia Institute of Technology, studying aerospace engineering and Russian. I love science and math (particularly when it has to do with space stuff). I'm super outgoing and a very laid back, chill person all at the same time (being like this has produced quite the stories).
Working with others and helping them succeed has been something I've loved to do for a while now. While I was in high school, I was a coach for one of the local swim teams and had a blast getting to teach people how to swim and such, and the best part was getting to connect with those kids and seeing them succeed during the swim meets.
Once I graduated, I had the privilege to serve as a full time volunteer in Brazil for a couple years, where my sole focus, every day, was to help o
thers to improve the quality of their life. In doing so, I had the wonderful opportunity to meet new people everyday and see people's lives drastically improve. Another cool part of this experience was that I got to teach English as a second language to people who'd never spoken it before. They loved it, and in the time that I did teach it, students went from speaking no English to being able to form basic sentences and have simple conversations.
Now in college, I've strived to continue this pattern with the little free time that I get during the week and on the weekends due to my classes. Throughout all of this, I've discovered how easy it is for me to connect with people and how much fun it can be.
What I bring to the lessons: I always ensure to provide the highest quality lessons and ensure that the student easily understands the materials. I'll provide materials that I know will assist the student to master the concepts.
My expectations: Learning requires the student to put in effort. Any assignments I give, I will expect them to be completed. I understand that sometimes one of "those weeks" comes around where life hits us in the face, but it's not every week.
Your expectations: You've come to me obviously to learn something new, and I intend to go above and beyond those expectations.
I wrote 5 star review (would give more if could) But showing as 4 stars... not sure why. So writing another one! But I can't say enough great things about Andrew. After 1 tutoring session my son had so many "ah ha" moments. I am so thankful and full of joy. My son is actually "getting it" and may even see how math could be fun...lol.

Andrew was amazing with my 15 yr old son. I am full of joy! My son had so many 'ah ha' moments and actually starting to see math (trig) can be fun. Andrew is an amazing tutor and my son felt so comfortable working with him. I am so thankful and will definitely continue tutoring lessons. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Algebra is very simple and easy. Application of algebra needs a stronger foundation at the beginning level. I enjoy teaching algebra , teaching is for self satisfaction sake.
Hindi being a National Language Of India. Most of the parents in the USA are willing to make their children Hindi literate along with communication. I take the privilege to help them to reach their goal. As Hindi is a foreign language, it will certainly help high schoolers to raise their credits.

Ashwini assumed that I was married upon meeting her, and asked me when I was getting married as soon as she learned I wasn't married. She also asked where I was getting married, even though at the time I wasn't engaged. Even when I made it apparent I wasn't engaged, she continued to refer to my boyfriend as my fiance.
She would send me political things going on in India, even though I have no interest, and it has nothing to do with the lessons I was taking from her. She asked me if my boyfriend was voting, and many personal things that shouldn't be asked of a student learning Hindi.
She often moved my scheduled time around without asking, which meant that I needed to move my schedule around in order to attend her sessions.
As a teacher she was pretty good, but some things disappointed me there too. For instance, I made a sentence in which a jeweler was a woman, and she stated that can't be correct, because there are no woman jewelers. I'm a woman engineer, and it's really sad to see such a sexist thing. Even when I attempted to ask about how you would say something about a woman jeweler, she said it was impossible. Later she said nurses could only be woman.

"I was once lost in math, and I didn't know what to do or if i was even going to pass the final. I reached out to Rod and he helped me like no body else co
uld. He really made me understand Math. I felt Rod was so good, that I made him my tutor for the following semester as well. Because of Rod I passed, I couldn't have done it without him, and I'm glad he was on this journey with me. Just would like to give a big Thank you to Rod!"
"So far, so good, and we plan to continue to use Colin as a tutor. My daughter started tutoring with him for extra practice and gaining insight into concep
ts that she was having trouble with in middle school math. She went from a low C to finishing out the school year with a B in math!"
"Jessie helped me make sense of Algebra. She is friendly and patient."
"He's an Algebra superstar! Patient and great tutor."
"Very happy with the help Brandon could offer, would definitely reach out in the future for any problems I have in understanding math"
"Matthew is great! Got my son set up in no time and put a lot of effort into getting him engaged and focused. So far great experience!"
"My 3 daughters looked forward to Tutoring Nights with Colin!
I have 3 girls in High school (10th, 10th, and 9th) . they had been struggling in math si
nce I can remember. I didn't think I could afford tutoring. They each had an 'F' in math.
I found Colin, and what a blessing! In just THREE short weeks Colin had my girls understanding HIS lessons, their CLASSROOM lessons and PASSING their exams! They brought their grades up too!
The best thing I can compare his tutoring to is: an adult teaching a kid to ride a bike... He didn't expect them to just ride a bike. he took the proper steps and taught my girls about the bike parts, the way the bike functions, how they all work together, how to properly sit and pedal, and he even held them up until they understood it completely and eventually were able to ride the bike on their own.
Thank you Colin! for putting my girls back on track with math!"
"Rob is knowledgeable and patient. He is able to convey the material in a manner that helps his student grasp concepts quickly."
"he is very easy to understand with everything he explains"
When you're solving algebra word problems, it's smart to have a plan of attack ready to follow. Solving word problems may seem difficult, but when you read through the problem and can figure out what the specific equation is, it's no harder than a regular algebra problem. Here are some tips for getting a solid system of steps to follow when you are solving algebra word problems:
1. Read through the entire problem before trying to solve it.
