I have been teaching dance for about 4 years now. I have taught ages 3 to 20 years old. I have danced since I was 4. I also did gymnastics. I do not have a dance room in my house, and my classroom is occupied, so for dance, it would have to be at another location. I teach different styles. I prefer to teach elementary/middle school students. I do enjoy young children. It is hard for them to focus. My goal is for the dance student to feel confident while dancing, and learn dance technique.

It was my daughter's first contact with professional acting.
She has been talking about being an actress for quite a while now, so we decided to let her take a few lessons to see if she likes it.
Ollie was really comprehensive of our needs and made us see the big picture of that world... just what we needed, to start walking into that direction on the right path.
My daughter had a wonderful time with Ollie.

I booked 4 acting sessions with Ms. Ollie for my daughter. Ms. Ollie did a phenomenal job starting from scratch, coaching my daughter for her up coming audition. My daughter had no acting experience, she was shy, and soft spoken but in just 4 short days, Ms. Ollie turned her into a confident, outspoken young actress. My daughter nailed her audition thanks to Ollie!! I will highly recommend her as your acting coach.

ALOHA!
If your looking to learn about basic Hawaiian song, dance and language then I can teach you. I started dancing since I was 4 yrs old, teaching since I was 13 as well as educating myself by those who are willing to teach me and now I am an instructor for Manaia 'Ohana Design and Production where I teach polynesian performing arts. My aloha (love) for my culture has taken me to many places around the U.S., as well as British Columbia and as far as Tokyo, Japan. I am excited to be able to share and teach you the basic language, history and dance of the Hawai'i.

About Patience
Aloha!๐ŸŒด My english name is Patience but I also have a Hawaiian name. POMAIKA'I. If you don't know how to pronounce that, I'll give you a free Hawaiian language lesson right now. Exciting already right! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿค™๐Ÿฝ

Po- as in the movie Kung Fu Panda๐Ÿผ
mai- as in the English word My
ka- as in Karate class, Ka ๐Ÿฅ‹
And the last letter "i" makes the long "E" sound. As in Eek! Or "ey" in key. So let's put it together and you get
Po-my-Ka-Eee - Pomaika'i which means blessings.

You've already learned some hawaiian. Now imagine not only learning how to speak Hawaiian but how to dance it as well. You can't have dancing without knowing how to speak it as well as knowing what your dancing about. No tourist attraction here, just real culture. I'm excited to share and teach you some hula! So let's get started ๐ŸŒบ

Enrolling in private dance lessons is a great way to build on existing technique and training or start from scratch to build a strong technical foundation. I have 4 year of experience teaching ballet, tap, jazz, and modern/contemporary at a successful competition studio and over 6 year experience teaching private lessons. So whether you're looking for an instructor to take your skills to the competition world or simply learn for exercise, I can tailor a curriculum to meet your individual needs.
I want my students to have a strong technical basis, but also grow in confidence, artistry, self-discipline, and self-expression.

About Hannah
Dance has been a part of my life for 20 years! I began lessons when I was in kindergarten and it was love at first sight. I danced and competed through high school but a series of injuries kept me from pursuing a professional career in college. Instead, I pursued a degree in history while teaching for a local competition studio. My dancers frequently placed top 10 in the national circuit and my choreography and costume designs received several awards.

During college, I discovered theatre and began to merge my love of self-expression and story telling with the dance technique I had practiced for so long. This helped me discover a unique and personalized style of choreography that gave me opportunity to help my students develop not only a love of dance, but also confidence, healthy self-expression, and communication skills.

After
college, I worked towards my MA in War, Media, and Society while continuing to do freelance choreography. After moving to DC in 2016 to work as a legislative assistant, I missed dance too much and knew I needed to find a way to fit it into my life! I began teaching private ballet and creative movement classes for my first client and absolutely loved being able to share my knowledge and love for this art form on a one-on-one basis with my students.

I have 5 years of experience teaching beginner ballet and creative movement, and 4 years teaching the following: ballet for ages 5-18, pointe for ages 13-18, jazz & musical theatre for ages 5-18, and tap for ages 5-12. I have a wide variety of choreography experience for solo, duet, trio, small, and large groups of all ages in ballet, pointe, contemporary, and character jazz.

I believe teaching dance is so much more than pointing toes and making beautiful lines (although those things are certainly important). I want to help my students develop important life skills, communicate feelings through movement, and learn to use the art of dance as a healthy outlet for stress and communication.

Miss Hannah is an excellent dance instructor. She was my daughter's ballet teacher for four years. She was also responsible for some of our competitive dance team's choreography. The dance team received many awards because of her dedication to them. My daughter is now a member of her college dance team. She could not have gone on to compete at the college level without teachers like Miss Hannah and the other instructors at our dance studio.

I am a competitive ballroom pro/am student and I’ve been dancing and competing for years. I had the privilege of studying ballroom dance with Rosaria. She is one of the most talented and beautiful dancers I have ever seen. What makes her an outstanding teacher, however, is her ability to teach. She knows what needs to be done step by step. Whether it’s basic technique, or styling, or even choreography, Rosaria was able to help me improve each time. She works tirelessly at finding different ways to explain the techniques she is teaching. I learned and enjoyed my dancing more with her than with any other ballroom teacher. Ever. Her professionalism, her dedication, and her artistry are one of a kind.
