About Jason
My educational background is in journalism with a minor in English and I've always been enamored with the literary and visual arts. I published my first book featuring poetry along with photography in 2006 and have since written four more.

My photography has been published in several magazine as well including the following:

Fahrenheit USA – Nov. 2015
My Belleza Inc. – April 2016
Tres Jolie – May 2016

In 2007, I started the business called Three Rivers Creative Arts providing creative service including photography, writing, editing and graphic design.

As a person who likes the opportunity to help others and to work with all of these types of areas, I thought that a great website like this one here at TakeLessons could allow me to do both.

Please check out my work on my official website at www.3riverscreative.com and thi
s page for links to sample work http://3riverscreative.com/more-info/.

Contact me first before booking an appointment as that my availability is sporadic.

Jason seemed very knowledgeable about website creation in general, and using WordPress in particular. He was quite helpful by introducing me to the basics of configuring my website, pointing out some "must-dos", and suggesting key things to keep in mind as I proceed with my blog/website. I certainly intend to rely on his expertise again in the near future.

About Alexandra
Alexandra Mortenson is a private violin teacher and writing coach in Salt Lake City. Her name means “keeper of man”, hence she has a wonderful husband, eight younger brothers, and a sneaking suspicion that she may end up with all sons. She loves to read, write, run, and hike in the mountains.

Alexandra is delighted by her opportunities to teach and help her students succeed in achieving their personal goals and ambitions. Please contact her with any questions or interest in taking lessons. She teaches the following subjects:

VIOLIN
Alexandra has been studying the violin for over 18 years, taking lessons primarily from Peggy Wheelwright and John England. She played in the youth violin group Pizzicato Strings and was concert master for her middle school and high school orchestras. Alex completed a music minor at the University of Ut
ah in December 2016 and enjoyed four years with the University Campus Symphony.

A few of Alex’s favorite pieces include Csardas (V. Monti), Symphony Espagnole (Lalo), Theme from Schindler’s List (John Williams) and The Devil Went Down to Georgia (Charlie Daniels).

WRITING
Words are Alexandra's passion, and she graduated in December, 2016 with her Honors B.A. in English. She has written for The Standard Examiner and The Daily Utah Chronicle, publishing a variety of articles and gaining experience in research, interviewing, writing, and editing. She has also worked as a research writer and editor for FamilySearch and has been accepted to present twice at the National Undergraduate Literature Conference. She enjoys writing short stories, personal essays, academic papers, and basically anything that includes words.

KOREAN
Alexandra learned Korean while serving in South Korea for a year and a half as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. While there she taught and studied daily in the Korean language, and upon returning home she started the Korean Studies minor at the University of Utah, which she graduated from in December 2016.

About Sally
Hi, there! My name is Sally and I can't wait to meet you! I've been tutoring since 2013 and have loved helping my students not only understand/learn the material they're struggling with, but also helping them to find an interest in the subject itself. I went to Western Illinois University and earned a degree in Atmospheric Science with a minor in Mathematics. I graduated with a 3.94 GPA on a 4.0 scale. I'm a passionate and caring person and my teaching style is fun, challenging, and geared towards the individual. About Daniel
I have a Bachelors degree in Electronics Engineering Technology. I currently run the Computer Lab at an elementary school in Salt Lake City, Utah. I have been running the Computer Lab since the 2013/2014 school year. In the Computer Lab I have been teaching Elementary Math and Typing and Kindergarten through Fifth Grade. In college, I learned math all the way up to Calculus 2. I also type between 60 and 70 WPM (Words per Minute). I speak, natively, the Standard American dialect of English. I also speak the Castillian dialect of Spanish.

Teaching is a recently discovered professional passion of mine. I love working with kids and I relate to them really well. At this writing, I'm currently exploring the world of tutoring and I may expand my list of subjects as I get a better feel for things.

Are you still reading? Great, I'll keep wri
ting. If you know about the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), I'm an INTJ (Introverted iNtuititive Thinking Judging). If you know Astrology, I prefer the Sidereal Zodiac, I'm Aquarius Sun, Virgo Moon, Scorpio Rising. I have passed the Mensa entrance exam.

I'm a gamer, a computer nerd and, possibly, a part-time otaku. I love watching cartoons and Anime, especially action/adventure shows. In World of Warcraft my preferred character is the Worgen/Tauren Feral Druid with the Engineering Profession. I love Sword Art Online, Accel World, Log Horizon and Miraculous Ladybug. I've read Harry Potter, Percy Jackson and pretty much anything mythological written by Rick Riordan. I'm an avid reader of both Young Adult science fiction and fantasy and books that teach interesting and unusual subjects.

My daughter was taking advance elementary math. It covered concepts in Pre-Algebra at times. When she needed assistance with a concept, Mr. Reavis was able to help her understand the concept. He is very good with math.

Daniel Reavis is a really good teacher. He corrected my math homework to help me get it correct and so I could do it correctly myself. When I got the correct answers to the problems at school, most of them were correct but occasionally I got some wrong. Then again, I went to Challenger School and they were teaching me things that he probably hadn't learned when he was at school.
