About LK
I am a singer-pianist-actor Or a pianist-singer-actor. :-)
I have a bachelors degree in voice performance and a minor in piano and theater.
I have a masters degree in voice as well as a second masters in piano literature.
i have a certificate in comedy improvisation from Second City and am a professional actor. I am the owner and senior talent agent of a large talent agency in the DFW area.
My post graduate work is in vocal pedagogy.
I have been a professional teacher and performer for over 20 years.
I own and manage a professional talent agency in the DFW area.
My students come in every model imaginable - and I wouldn't have it any other way. Raw beginner or veteran actor or musician, professional recording artist, College music major or American Idol wannabe.

The arts are such a great language for communicating. I grew up
with two parents who were professional musicians (mom is a concert pianist) and I also raised 3 children who are professional musicians. We made music our native language in our home. We all have the ability to speak music when it is spoken to us. I don’t ever remember not playing the piano. I started winning piano competitions in high school. I minored in piano, and then did additional post graduate work in piano. I “speak” piano. It has served me so well as a teacher, composer, opera coach. It is really a gateway to understanding all other instruments. The same scenario with my singing.

I began my professional career as an opera singer which has taken me around the world. I have premiered works by Leonard Bernstein and Samuel Adler in addition to principal roles and concert work with Pittsburgh Opera, The Pittsburgh Symphony, Dayton Opera, the Tuscia Opera Festival and hundreds of professional engagements. I have also had the wonderful opportunity to belt the National Anthem for several major league teams in a television appearance- and has done so on multiple occasions. (Pittsburgh Pirates, Pittsburgh Penguins, Pittsburgh Steelers, Cincinnati Reds) I am passionate about vocal jazz and musical theater and am frequently found as a performer in various national and regional venues. Feature concert works include PBS (Gershwin in Concert) as well as featured solo concert works (Pergolesi Stabat Mater) on Italian Public TV.

My approach to music has always been to do what you love. I have never limited myself as a performer to a genre or an instrument. I have explored, applied myself to and enjoyed a very diverse musical career. If you have a passion for an instrument or style of music let's start there first... and then let's discover together all the things you do that uniquely define your musicianship style.

Your lessons will always be engaging, challenging and fun!

I am very consistent in my approach to technique, my focus on goals and my demand for excellence. I constantly am working to access with you what your goals are and to provide feedback and support to help you achieve them.

I am very flexible in utilizing a wide variety of repertoire, resources etc. Your lessons are personalized to your skill set and your musical interests. I utilize audio and video recordings almost every week for all my students. I routinely promote and encourage my students to participate in a wide variety of competitions, recitals, workshops and master classes.

I have a very low turnover rate for students and a very high rate of students who have progressed to professional full time careers in music. Students like being a part of my studio and really like the confidence they have in their music abilities in a very short period of time.

I do not use the same curriculum for all students, in face, each curriculum is customized for that student. The components are similar: technique, repertoire, theory, listening, composing, recording and performing.

You can expect the following:You will feel very encouraged and supported in your talent. You will have measurable improvement in your skills. You will have a personal advocate to encourage and direct you in finding and creating opportunities to succeed in your music personally, academically and professionally.

I can't wait to get started!

About Roya
My name is Roya. I am a professional artist and educator, and I’m a professor in painting and drawing. It would be my pleasure to teach you painting or drawing. Over the last 10 years, I have taught painting and drawing, including figure drawing and painting courses in universities and colleges.

I’m using 2 different teaching strategy based on my students interest.

In the first plan, I start to teach from basic to advanced technique; my goal at the beginning stage is to provide students with enough skills and technique that they can skillfully begin making art from 3- dimensional sources, not just copying from other arts.

In the second path, I start teaching any subject or technique that my student prefer like pastel landscape or oil painting portrait.

I teach a variety of technique, medium and styles from realistic to abstract
, or any style that you prefer

About Jamarius
I am a graduate of Alabama State University and have a Bachelor's of Science in Mathematics. I have years of experience helping students in the ASU mathematics lab. I also have experience tutoring high school students as part of the ASPIRE Mentoring Program and I have tutored elementary and middle school students as well. Topics that I have tutored include basic math, pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, and calculus.

While tutoring at ASU, I have modified my tutoring style to provide better service. What happens is that during the first few sessions, I get to know each person and some things about the course that they are taking such as the syllabus content, the type of grade the person wants in the course, the number of points each assignment is worth, and the date of the next major test. I then try to hold tutoring sessions in accordance w
ith this information. During a session, I go over homework, explain concepts that may be misunderstood, go over topics that I think are especially important, and sometimes give practice problems. I do a lot of visual explanations for concepts. Periodically, I would ask about the grade that was made on a recent test and modify my tutoring style if necessary. My goal is to help everyone that I tutor strengthen their mathematical skills.

Usually, I tutor by appointment and each session usually lasts for about 1 hour. In order to reschedule or cancel an appointment, I request a 24-hour notice. I am willing to meet in a public place or online.

I also make videos that cover math concepts in order to make it a little easier for students to get the information that they need to be successful. If you would like for me to make a video, please let me know!

Please contact me and we can get started.

I'm a math and science instructional coach for an elementary school in Dallas ISD. I have taught 5th Grade math and science with great success. I am not one to teach procedures and rules. This is not math. Math is about exploring and finding patterns all around you.

For instance: did you know, no matter what a person's height divided by the distance from the belly button to the floor is going to be around 1.618 (depending on accuracy of measurements)?

Do you want to know why the "Butterfly Method" works when comparing fractions?

Do you want to know what you are doing with simplifying polynomial expressions?

I can help you to understand how fun and important math is and how it is all around you.

About Karen
While a student at Texas Woman's University, I also pursued my TEFL certification. A part of my requirement was student teaching or tutoring. I tutored international students Ghana, India, South Korea, Taiwan, and Mexico. As a teacher, I teach English online to students in China. When I was a student at TWU, I participated in the Education Abroad Program and studied German in Austria and Germany. My background in vocal training and linguistics gives me the skills and knowledge to help my students accomplish the American English oral, reading, and writing skills that they need to advance in school or career. I understand the needs of students to speak conversationally or professionally in the language of the country they are in.
I love helping students to learn to speak clearly in order to succeed in oral presentations and to be understo
od in everyday communication. I enjoy seeing their faces light up when they accomplish a task or lesson by using what they studied and practiced with me.

About MATTHEW
Hello! I'm Matthew, an experienced tutor specializing in SAT prep. I graduated from Rice University in 2018 with a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and received a 2400 superscore on my SAT in 2013. I offer tutoring for SAT/PSAT Test Prep in the Math, Reading, and Writing portions, as well as for all students K-12 and any level of ability; I am highly experienced with helping students with their school coursework from my previous employment. The solutions and test-taking techniques required for the SAT extend to any subject or test material, as such I would be happy to help prepare for any general test prep as well, such as for the ASVAB.

Throughout 6 summers of personalized tutoring at an after school learning service and working as a private tutor, I've developed a proficiency for explaining and delineating concepts that a student
might struggle with in a straightforward manner. As a private tutor, I would often work with high school students in their homes or nearby libraries each week to shore up their weaknesses or get them ahead of school, using a mix of workbooks and my custom curriculum for the subject.

They're very informative and patient, I'm a slow learner and I have issues with concentration/my attention span but they were very patient and helpful. They worded things in a way I could easily understand and helped me learn a lot faster than other tutors have.

I am originally from Colombia, South America. I came to the United States when I was fifteen years old in 2011, and I've been living here since then. I think this is a wonderful country where anyone can achieve their dreams.

Currently I am an undergraduate student doing his Bachelor's degree in Physics with a Minor in Mathematics. I've had previous teaching experience by doing private tutoring of the Spanish language as well as doing guitar lessons. However, I would like to teach the subject that I love (math and physics), and help all students achieve a good understanding of these subjects and accomplish their goals.

I think math and science are the greatest leading forces behind our improvement of technology and society. As a species we've learned so much about our origin and the place where we are living in thanks to them. I be
lieve we will keep expanding and improving our knowledge and the more people who undertake the path of math and science, the more we will accomplish. I definitely want to be part of this human endeavour and I'm excited to help others do the same.

I look forward to meeting you and if you have any questions feel free to ask me!
