About Kevin
I have had a fairly diverse musical background, including playing with bands and orchestras, as well as participating in choral groups and opera. I have a master's degree in music performance for wind conducting, and a bachelor's degree in music with an emphasis on piano performance.

I have taught private lessons for several years now and I love every moment with my students! I have a real passion for sharing my knowledge and experience with others, both failures and successes. I believe everyone has creative potential, and I believe music is a real universal art form that anyone can tap into if they want. Above all, making and creating music should also be fun!

*** Lesson Details ***
I try to keep my lessons professional but comfortable too. I don't yell at students for messing up or anything like that. I usually have an agenda b
ut am willing to adjust and compromise if the situation dictates. If you don't have a curriculum in mind, I like Alfred's piano courses, but will do my best to find one that fits you as a student best. My initial goals are to make sure the basics of reading music and performing are set so that no matter what musical avenue you want to pursue, you will be successful. I do specialize in classical music but enjoy creating and playing in other genres as well.

I now also offer lessons online, as well as tutoring in most math areas!

***CANCELLATION POLICY***
I kindly ask for 24 hour notice whenever possible if a lesson is going to be missed. Generally speaking, if I don't hear from a student and their lesson time passes I will mark the lesson as missed, but I am also usually more than willing to make up the lesson at a later time.

*** Studio Equipment ***
I have a piano keyboard at my home.

*** Travel Equipment ***
I would expect students to have their own instruments as needed, as well as music paper, pencils, etc. I may be able to provide some of those materials on occasion as well as some books/recordings, but will by and large expect students to purchase those for themselves.

*** Specialties ***
I am much more familiar with classical styles and Broadway. My music writing style tends to be somewhere between neo-classical and avant-garde.

It was my daughter's first contact with professional acting.
She has been talking about being an actress for quite a while now, so we decided to let her take a few lessons to see if she likes it.
Ollie was really comprehensive of our needs and made us see the big picture of that world... just what we needed, to start walking into that direction on the right path.
My daughter had a wonderful time with Ollie.

I booked 4 acting sessions with Ms. Ollie for my daughter. Ms. Ollie did a phenomenal job starting from scratch, coaching my daughter for her up coming audition. My daughter had no acting experience, she was shy, and soft spoken but in just 4 short days, Ms. Ollie turned her into a confident, outspoken young actress. My daughter nailed her audition thanks to Ollie!! I will highly recommend her as your acting coach.

Susan is a wonderful French teacher both for adults and kids. We have had her as an in-home teacher for both over the past few years during the school year. She is very patient with the kids and keeps it fun for them, and also is a great conversationalist with the adults. I can’t recommend her enough. She is also versatile enough to teach German as well.

She worked with me on an assignment I had in English. I had to rewrite a fairy tale, fable, or folklore. She used hip-hop music lyrics to show me how easy it would be to give these older stories a modern flare. She is awesome and I got a good grade on my assignment.

I have witnessed Candace teach basic sight words and short sentence composition to her kindergarten class. She was able to differentiate instruction in ways that enabled even struggling students to actively participate in the lesson and complete tiered activities.

About Victor
I'm Victor C., a Spanish Tutor and a Python programmer. I have been tutoring for over 10 years and have had great success with students of all ages, college students and adult professionals, from all over the world.

In Python I worked with students from the basics to advanced projects including Data Science tools like Pandas, then Web Scraping projects, to Machine Learning projects using Neural Networks, and even creating an app using Java that uses a machine learning model using Python.

For my Spanish students I've helped them learn the language quickly by incorporating real life scenarios into my lessons. In order to perfect their pronunciation my students interact with native Spanish speaking people that do not know any English to test their learned skills.

I look forward to working with you to reaching all of your academic
and professional goals. Just send me a message, I'll be happy to help you.

About Mika
I am a professor with seventeen years worth of experience in teaching various subjects for a multitude of students. I've taught subjects such as creative writing, commercial law, ancient civilization, ancient and transitional Latin and Greek, as well as Graphic Design, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Federal and Commercial Building Compliance and Law, et cetera. To put it bluntly, there's very little I cannot teach.

I've taught GED classes and courses for the State of Michigan and the Northeast Penitentiary system for seven years as well, which has been some of the most rewarding experiences I've ever had.

I believe that everyone can learn. All it takes is that student to professor connection and knowing what type of learner the student is. I don't believe in a "one shoe fits all" type of teaching style.
My students are unique, with different ways of looking at problems and different ways of coming to their own conclusions and solutions.

Good teaching is a mixture of art and science—the ability to grab and keep students' attention and convey complex information, Mr. K does just that!! I have taken about 4 or 5 classes with him and I must say he has taught me everything I need now in my career. Patient and vastly knowledge. Definitely would take another class with him!

Mr. K taught was amazing. He taught the GED in Michigan a few years ago. The moment I walked into his classroom, it was just one and one. He didn't treat me like all the other teachers. He actually cared and it showed. But man, is he hard! I didn't think I would get homework after the first class, but I was seriously wrong. But over the next two months, he grilled me and grilled me until I wanted to scream. But when I took the GED and was scored, I aced it! Just to warn yall though, he's not an easy teacher. And he doesn't put up with excuses. But when he gives you his attention, its all of it.

He even went waaaay beyond the call of duty and helped me get into college at Lansing Community College. He walked me through the application, even drove and met me at LCC, and sat with me when we talked to the reps. He even helped me look for scholarships and gave me advise on financial aid! This guy is a saint!

What they SHOULD teach in school: how to budget your personal finances and build your credit.

What they DON'T teach in school: how to budget your personal finances and build your credit.

I am currently working as a personal credit consultant and have previously worked in the banking industry. I've learned that not all bankers are there to help you manage your personal finances or know how to build your credit score!

I am here to help you take what you read online about personal finance and give you practical steps on how to put it into motion. My goal is to help you save money by budgeting and maintaining a system that works for you.

We will go over your income and expenses, where you can cut costs and how to take control of what you're spending. All it takes is understanding what is coming in and out of your bank account and
many times people do not take the time to do this. It's hard to do it alone, so I will be here to guide you every step of the way.
