I would love to share my passion for ballet and all the knowledge I gained through my career.
I believe ballet is demanding and hard but also it brings joy and beauty in your life.
I make sure that my students are challenged but also having fun in my class.
All ages/Levels welcome and of course lessons are customized and catered to the needs/goals of each student.

I started dancing at the age of 7 in Japan. At the age of 17, I attended to Arts Educational school in England and at the age of 18, I moved to New York city to attend Joffrey Ballet school.
At the age of 20, I was accepted to Dance Theatre of Harlem in NY and danced as a professional ballerina for about 6 years. Performed many principal roles and toured all over the US and overseas.

Careful private work on shape and function of the body, part by part. Breaking down the language of the movement so you know what you are doing when and how to carefully develop the parts that are weakest by separating them from the mix of all the movement and then studying them minutely until the physical process makes sense to your mind and body. Musicality from the moment you stand in first position. Relationship to music in the form itself and toward the music you are hearing. Turns, jumps, adagio, petite allegro, alignment, balance. Barre. Center. Feet. Head.....

I am a professional ballet dancer and I love to help students achieve "clean" un-stylized classical technique, whether they hope to gain admittance into top ballet schools, summer programs or audition for companies. I began training at age 3 and have experience with small and large schools. For my high school years, I trained with American Ballet Theatre's JKO School, where I received ABT certification to teach Levels Pre-Ballet - 3, then did my post secondary training with Canada's National Ballet School in Toronto. Since graduating, I have danced with Les Grands Ballet Canadiens in Montreal and Semperoper Ballett in Dresden, Germany. I would be more than happy to share tips and encourage any age student as they reach for their individual goals.

I love ballet and I love teaching it. I've danced for 10 years and taught ballet for 4 years. I pay special attention to technic, but most importantly I teach a love of dance. I've only taught in person, so this is new to me, but I'm confident that I can help you learn to dance ballet!

I teach from the understanding that our bodies set the limits. We can push them but we must respect them. I encourage those who are afraid to try ballet to be brave and discover what ballet can offer your body at any age. Ballet will make you strong in more ways than any other sport. You feel it from the inside out.
