My name is Stephanie Maiorano and I am a Principle Dancer with the San Diego Ballet, where I have been performing for 14 years. I love to share everything I have learned as a professional to each of my students through personalized private lessons! Every student is different and has unique needs, so I make sure each coaching session is designed to specifically target the needs of each dancer to improve faster and greater! Weather it's your first time dancing, or you are a seasoned pro, I am happy to teach the basics, improve upon technique, artistry, flexibility and strength. I have been teaching Ballet to hundreds of dancers all over Southern California over the last 14 years, and am the Artistic Director of the San Diego Ballet Summer Intensive program. I teach beginning, intermediate, and advanced ballet classes. My youngest students are 5, and my oldest is 90! I love molding each student into the best dancer they can be at any age and any level. Prior to joining the San Diego Ballet I was a member of Houston Ballet II, and have received training from teachers all over the world. Including Paris Opera Ballet, Royal Ballet, National Ballet of Cuba, Ballet Monte Carlo, Australian Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, American Ballet Theater, New York City Ballet, and more. Each of these teachers have passed down a world of knowledge that I now get to share with my students. I have my diploma in the Chechetti Method, but I also specialize in teaching the French and English Method of ballet. I love sharing everything I have learned through my 30 years of dancing both as a student and as a professional ballet dancer, and my goal is to pass down the art of ballet to anyone who wants to learn! I've taught over 80 students over the zoom platform in 2020 alone, and have found that it is a great tool to further education and to grow in strength, and flexibility. Also it allows the student to feel comfortable dancing in their own space. I know at this unique time many of us are stuck at home, and these online courses have proven to be a positive experience to help with not only the physical but mental health as well. I have had many parents comment on how their child's mood has changed drastically for the better after our lessons, and adults taking my course have let me know that it has served as a kind of therapy through these difficult times. Nothing is better than building up endorphins through dance!

Stephanie was very engaging and observant. She had great feedback even on the first trial class. She teaches in a very organized fashion.
Stephanie was very nice and an excellent teacher!
Miss Stephanie is an incredible instructor. She shows great patience as she shares her expertise in ballet. My Daughter looks forward to each lesson and always has detailed feedback she can use to improve after each lesson.
